I love this little restaurant! I had lunch there today with a work colleague. The Chips are fried to order and served with a little carafe of delicious salsa. Its the freshness of the food that lets you know there is something different about this place. Its the chef owner. Miguel, he spent years working in some of the best NYC restaurants, and then here in Atlanta at the intercontinental. This is a man with a gift. He is so thoughtful about everything that is served. They do a ton of take out but don’t be fooled by the end cap location at the Citgo station. There is magic coming out of this chefs kitchen. They have just added liquor to the restaurant and now you can have a margarita or beer with your meal. The Shrimp dishes are first rate, the fish tacos are probably the best outside of the perimeter. The freshly made green salsa and habanero salsa are sublime! The Dominican ladies who are the servers are wonderful. This is a great family restaurant doing great food from the heart in a sea of chain fast food restaurants. Seriously skip the drive throughs and stop in for lunch or an early supper. You will be a fan too.

I tried this place for my first time using delivery today and was pleasantly surprised. I got fish tacos, a chicken taco salad, and salsa and cheese dip. The fish tacos were amazing! The chicken taco salad had a little more refried beans than I usually like but the overall flavor was great. The delivery was surprisingly fast and the driver was very friendly. I will definitely be ordering here again.

I’m back again. My favorite mexican food place. Great food at a great price. You can’t find a better deal for this caliber taste anywhere in atlanta. Right next to my barber Zion, so coming here while i wait on my hair cut makes it enjoyable even with the kids.

Ordered a Carne Asada burrito enchilada style with green sauce and extra cheese. Paid 1.00 for extra cheese and there wasn’t even cheese inside of the burrito only a normal amount of cheese on the top so I’m not sure what I paid extra for. The steak was dry and tough. Burrito was made up primarily of rice. The green sauce was good that was put on top but I wish they would’ve been a bit more generous with the sauce burrito was dry. Very nice size though extra large burrito just mediocre in taste.

Highly recommend the fish tacos! They are perfectly seasoned. Barbacoa was not as seasoned as I hoped it would be and there unfortunately was not a sauce bar to compensate for this. Tacos come with topped with onion and cilantro. I personally feel if they add a sauce bar with Pico, additional limes, onions, etc it would have been 5 star worthy in my book. Overall, I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the store and will return.

This is a great local find. Chips were fresh and everything homemade. I loved my shrimp soup. Other items ordered were chicken enchiladas, chicken soup, and shrimp enchiladas. Guacamole and refried beans were exceptionally good. Skip all the Mexican chain restaurants around here and come here instead!

This is my favorite Mexican spot. I always order ahead to carry out and the food is ready in 15 – 20 minutes. They cook to order and the food is always delicious. If you ask them to make the food more authentic, they will do so. The chiles rejenos and tortas are two of my favorite. I also love their homemade chips that come with the tortas. The cashiers and cooks are very friendly. Best kept secret!!!

This is indeed a home in the wall but a true find. The owner is very sweet and accommodating, she knows the menu. We ordered enchiladas and it comes with three and I had each one different… Box please. My husband had shrimp rellenos and they were excellent and came with five homemade tortillas. another box please. We will be back!

My boss got a burrito and I got an enchilada. We had our food delivered and it was delivered in the time stated. The food was good but it wasn’t anything special. There seemed to be little seasoning on any of the meat. The queso was good though. A lot of chips came with it. A whole lot. I will probably order from them again because of the home made corn and flour tortillas! Super yummy.

Was a faithful customer for over a year and a half… food is good not going to lie but they have messed my order up twice which I don’t mind but what I do mind is that if you order your food at 11:45 and it’s not there by 12:50 there’s a big problem it defeats the purpose of being a «fast food«place. If it’s done once I kind of understand but twice… no you just lost a loyal customer.

So I wanted to order the vegetarian enchilada lunch combo, however they said it was too complicated to make any of the lunch combos vegetarian even though they have vegetarian enchiladas on the menu. Makes no sense to me. I ended up ordering a vegetarian burrito($ 7.95) and it was bland compared to what I’ve had at other places. Also the check in offer is only for fountain drinks even if the other drinks are the same price. Service started off bad but improved by the end but unfortunately the food didn’t cut it for me. There are way too many amazing Mexican/Latin American restaurants in the Lawrenceville area and so I have no reason to return here.

Awful service, overpriced, and nowhere near authentic. I ordered a cheese quesadilla and since it wasn’t on the menu they charged me for a chicken quesadilla. Slow as hell, and a bit rude.

Quick service, fresh and hot food. Even when they brought a taco instead of a burrito, very quickly the error was remedied! The chips and salsa are delish! I will be back for sure!

Have you ever wanted to love something so much that when it lets you down it’s terribly disappointing? Dinner tonight was a failure that I hope is never repeated. Pastor tacos, pastor burrito, steak chimichanga and cheese dip and chips. Soggy chimi and burrito bordering on not cooked. Previous visits had been a wonderful delight — chimi crisp, hot and fresh but tonight a soggy plop in the pan. The burrito was as limp and soft as a roll of uncooked dough stuffed with all the fixins’. If we did not know better it seemed like the pastor tacos were previously cooked and stored on the side. This was a failure all around, not sure what the reason but I’ll give it one more try. A $ 38 failure is hard to swallow but not near as bad as the dinner was tonight.

This is a great place to eat. I’m not a liar. I’ve never had such an warming mexican food experience. My friends and I had to go to a miserable review session for our school at a campus near to the place. We survived the sessions knowing we would have Jalepeno Mexican immediately after. Great place.

Talk about a cool hole in the wall with great customer service and food — you’d miss it from the street if you didn’t know it was there… and you’d be missing out. There might be 10 – 12 tables, but don’t let the size fool you as this hidden gem is hot, fresh, and inexpensive. There are a few sauces. salsas including a habanero that will knock your socks off and their standard salsa that is great, but my fave was the«guacamole» sauce that has a kick of of it’s own and I think I could put it on everything except ice cream. The food was hot, the service friendly and not hovering, chips the perfect thickness and refilled quickly. Only downside is the lack of margaritas to make it 5 star, but if you’ll take Mexican Coca Cola instead for a day, you can have an ice cold bottle for $ 2.50 in lieu of a fountain coke, or partake in a couple bottled beer options. Drove past this place for over a year in the tiny strip mall next to a barber shop, donut place and tiny gas mart, only to find it and smile… then realize they deliver for free too. Thank you Lawrenceville for the best Mexican restaurant I have seen yet!
