Registry Of Motor Vehicles

This place has worst system I have ever seen. Went yesterday and arrived at 12:45. By the time we got through greeter and got our number it was 1:00. We sat down and waited with other 200 plus poor souls. At 2 pm we noticed slip greeter gave us said approx 2 hour wait. We decided to go get lunch at Chinese buffet next door (very good btw). Got back about 1:45 and waited and waited. At 4:30 our number finally called. Went to pay 500 fee and was told needed to come back tomorrow for hearing (which had done already a few weeks before). «Friendly «rep advised us to arrive by 7 am next day or we would be too late to get hearing that day as they are short staffed. Arrived by 7:30 today and by 8:30 about 100 people lined up in rain hoping that when RMV actually opens at 9 they and we will be helped.
System absurd, non transparent. Rude unhelpful power hungry low level government employees who seem to take joy at wasting hours and hours of tax payers time. Fat cop drinks coffee and surveys the room with a happy look in his eye. If you can avoid this registry you will be lucky.
