Service was nice & Food was great! Though the outside doesn’t look like much, there’s truly potential inside. The woman brought our food outside where we were waiting, and thanked us. The food is just as good as it smells.

Love the authentic Chinese food! Best I’ve had since an old favorite Tin Sing closed. Best part… food is inexpensive, and portions are large. Give it a try, you won’t regret it. It will probably become your favorite, as it has become mine!

Well, the environment is a little bland… and eerie quiet. It feels like I’m attending night classes or something, which makes it a little uncomfortable. The tables are really, really cramped together with exception of the handicap table. However, the staff is extremely nice, informative and patient. The cook even came out to say hello after we got our meal, which was really pleasant. If you use a card, you must spend a minimum of $ 15, which they have a sign clearly posted. It’s a poor sign, hand-written on the desk, but it’s VERY visible. They also have photos of their entrees plastered on the wall AND on the front counter so you know exactly what you’re getting. Which brings me to the food: it’s clearly made fresh. Their orange chicken is actually crunchy and mildly tangy(taste like real orange chicken as opposed to oh say, Panda Express). We also ordered the beef in garlic sauce, but I was disappointed with it. It was delicious and cooked fresh and perfect, don’t get me wrong… but easily 80% of the entrée was veggies. They should just name it veggie and garlic sauce with a side order of beef. Each entrée comes with steamed rice, but you can swap it for chow mein or fried rice for an extra dollar. I understand the chow mein, but I wish they didn’t charge a dollar for fried rice. I have no real issues here, the place is a bit dull as I said, but the staff is friendly and the food is FRESH and delicious. The prices are fair as well, but the place could use a little bit of spring cleaning. The napkin dispensers on the tables, for example, are extremely dusty and gross, but the tables themselves were clean. I also wish they cleaned the tip of their sriracha bottles because it’s actually starts looking pretty black-ish, which is a bit of a turn off. –Orange chicken is not spicy despite it saying so(slightly lacking in flavor, but texture on point) –beef was perfectly made. zero complaints except for the amount. I would come again. Support a family owned business, because despite it’s flaws, these are good kind-hearted people who clearly give their food the attention it needs. Thanks for the good experience!

Not real impressed. Ordered a General’s Chicken dish. Comes loaded with more chopped zucchini and celery than you could believe. Typically this dish cones with a few pieces of broccoli. Not this one.

So a friend of mine recommend this place to me. I had been craving good Chinese food for a while! I got the orange chicken, egg rolls, broccoli and beef, and veggie chow Mien. It was pretty good. I read some reviews and yes it does smell super greasy I wouldn’t eat my food there and the front lady is a bitt unfriendly but overall i would go again :) the orange chicken though is REALLY good nice and crispy, and the chow mien is not too greasy ! I wouldn’t get the egg rolls again, they had this watered down taste to them(I got veggie). BUTTHEYGIVEHUGEPORTIONS and I believe my total for everything was only like $ 28, NOT bad at all :)

I first tried this place about a month ago and have been back once per week ever since. I’m not sure when I will taper off on my visits there. I have longed for good Chinese food since Tin Sing in Gardena closed and this has come the closest yet. The lady who works the phone and counter is so nice and helpful. Keep up the good work and maintain your low prices. Job well done Lucky Bamboo!!!

Place smelled greasy but looked clean, I guess. Old lady at the front was not at all welcoming and told me ten minutes for the egg rolls(I ordered a small soup and egg rolls). Would’ve been nice to have at least the soup right away if I had to wait longer for the«appetizer,» but 20 minutes later both dishes showed up. They packed it to go, but my intention was to eat it here. Everything was HOT! But when the heat died down, I realize the flavor was extremely bland. At least I’m full on less than $ 10.

This is not a good review. However felt it necessary to comment regarding my experience. Wanted to order take out for myself. They accept credit or debit with a $ 15 minimum purchase. I think a $ 10 minimum is acceptable, but $ 15?! I just wanted food for myself, and even though I tried ordering extra dish I was still .50 cents under $ 15 before tax. In this day and age convenience is important if you want to succeed in business. I will take my business elsewhere.

The Happy family entrée was awesome and the Chowfun noodles. I really love the taste and quality of their food. Only reason why I gave it 4 stars was the location. But the workers were really friendly and sweet. Great staff, I am a customer for sure… :)

Service isn’t great. The lady didn’t notify us that the fried rice was extra until after she charged me. You get a lot of food for the price, but I could think of many better places that would cost way less. She brought out the food to us, but she just threw everything on the table. She doesn’t say«you’re welcome» either lol. The wait time was a bit long. And the place definitely smelled really greasy but looked clean nonetheless. The food itself was hot.(Maybe because we were the only ones here?) I got the orange chicken. It was pretty good. Tangy flavor. The food here could easily be shared. The portions are huge!

Prices are low, but the food isn’t very good. I ordered the teriyaki chicken lunch special, it came with fried rice, an egg roll, and wontons. the teriyaki wasn’t good at all, the sauce tasted bad and the rice was dry. The cream cheese wontons were sweet, they had a weird taste. The lady at the front counter wasn’t welcoming at all and it’s a $ 15 minimum for cards, out total was $ 15.68 and she didn’t let us use the card unless we added a drink.

You can’t go wrong with anything here. I usually get the large Wor Wong tong soup but the one pictured is a small. I add extra spice(dark chili peppers) to the spicy soup I order for an extra kick. My other favorite dishes are the walnut shrimp, sesame chicken, and any of the rolls with the sweet and sour dipping sauce. This is a family owned business and the owners are very nice! Everything is made fresh to order so if you want something spicy or without and ingredient(s) all you have to do is ask. If you’re in the area and craving Chinese food, Stop here!

Good reviews and liked what I read. I was hungry for Chinese food had been on low carbs for a while and needed to refuel. I ordered Mongolian beef and Orange chicken. When I got the order it was heavy. When I got home to eat, I was very happy that the portions were very big for the price. The Mongolian beef was tender and had a nice wok flavor you get at a real Chinese restaurant. The orange chicken was crispy and full of tender chicken. My only gripes were that the Mongolian beef and chicken on the menu states it’s spicy but there no spiciness what’s so ever. The orange chicken was more like sweet and sour chicken lacking in sourness. Good orange chicken has slight hint of spice and a tang but this orange chicken had neither. I had to stop after a bit the monotonous sweetness got to my palate after a while. The Mongolian beef was good but could have been better if it was a little bit sweeter. The orange chicken needed more vinegar and dried red peppers that a lot of other Chinese places put in their dishes. If you want satisfactory decent Chinese food at really good prices with big portions then give bamboo Chinese a try. I’ll be trying some other dishes, I saw on their wall that was not on their printed menu.

Let me give you all a backstory. When I was little, there used to be this little Chinese to-go spot by my house that made me fall in love with orange chicken. It had this light crispiness and just the right amount of sweet and tangy to it. The spot didn’t last too long and was closed down. Ever since, I longed for it and never found a place that served orange chicken just as good. Welp, I think I just found the place!!! One bite into the orange chicken and it was like I was in elementary school again scarfing down food. Except I’m not in my knee-length uniform skirt and my metabolism isn’t as high as it used to be. But that’s not gonna stop me… Been waiting for far too long!!! Haha, but on some serious note, they give a generous amount of food. We always have leftovers for a few days. The Mongolian beef is also delish!!! Has a little spice to it and the onions. OHMAN. If you do not like onions, this dish will make you fall in love. We’ve also had the walnut shrimp, but nothing special about it. If you guys want a little snack/appetizer/dessert, opt for the cream cheese wontons! They lost two stars, however, because I feel like their delivery service is only when it’s convenient for them. A few times they couldn’t deliver and I had to pick up the food myself for reasons unknown. Other days delivery is no problem. We only live 5 minutes down the street.

I have to say I was a little disappointed by Lucky Bamboo. The food was just mediocre and doesn’t live up to the current average rating for me. The best thing about this spot: it is inexpensive, but that’s about all they have going for them. I had the Mongolian Beef lunch combo and it was a whopping $ 4.75 before tax and came with the entrée, fried rice, an egg roll and two fried wontons. Unfortunately, the beef was just ok, the fried rice was lacking and the wontons were fried too long and rock hard with desiccated little meat slivers for filling. One of my pictures shows a wonton broken open and the thin hard sliver in the middle is not a piece of wonton, that’s the meat! The fried rice was just rice and egg, no onion or other veggies and was very plain and bland. They have five 4-person tables inside and I would imagine do most of their business as carry out or delivery, since there were only two people in the restaurant during prime Friday lunch. They take credit cards, but only if you spend $ 10 or more. I think they are trying to achieve an inexpensive place to cater to lunch patrons, but they are missing the mark on taste. Portion size is huge for what you pay, but I was hoping for a more flavor and attention to detail.
