Pollo Inka cuisine has been great especially the Saltado de Pollo, which is stripped lightly charred chicken with a combination of vegetables, rice and French fries so far it’s my favorite dish and looking forward in trying Lomo Saltado. Make sure to bring your appetite because they do serve large quantity of food in one dish, plus the small chicken broth with bread on the side they provide before the main course. The chicken broth was okay and it is a stretch calling it a chicken broth considering it only had two shreds of chicken floating, but it was okay enough to tie you over while you wait for your main course. Overall my experience was good and the atmosphere of the restaurant felt communal the staff was friendly and attentive when seated. Tip — The few times that I have been there have been busy and it would be unlikely there will be someone to attend to you when you walk into the door. If it’s your first visit to the restaurant you need to write down the name of your party in a clipboard on a small podium next to the door, otherwise you won’t be seated.

I’m from Canada. Everytime I come to LA, I end up eating here at the Hawthorne location at least a minimum of 2 times. I love it here. Seriously wish that they would open up a restaurant in Toronto. Though I say I will try something the next time I come, I never do. My go to is Lomo Saltado with fries and a side of plantains. The Plantains are fried so perfectly and are caramelized lightly on the outside giving more depth to the flavour. The staff is lovely and polite. Locals come here and its always busy with a fairly quick turnover so you are never waiting too long for a table. Excellent place to eat, you’ll love it and keep coming back.

The food was ehhh. Maybe its because I have high expectations when I eat Peruvian food, but I don’t understand why this place has great ratings. The bread was cold and stale, the chicken soup(Aguadito) which is supposed to have chicken, rice and veggies only consisted of rice and soup. If you were lucky you’d get a shred of chicken and a few peas in ur soup. The waitress wasn’t very attendant. And the menus were dingy and dirty. I Ordered the picante de carne, it was okay but the meat was very tough. The picarrones(sweet potato donuts with syrup) were very warm, soft and delicious. The picarrones I recommend. Everything else on the menu is a hit or miss.

This is the best Peruvian restaurant I have ate at! The dishes are huge too! You can even share it. Every dish is flavorful and really affordable, just that the distance is pretty far for me. But really worth the drive when you want some authentic Peruvian food! I love their complementary soup. Looks like climates with rice and chicken and veggies inside. I ordered this saucy dish with chicken(don’t remember the name). This dish is spicy but not too much, just the right amount of kick to add to the dish! Comes with a side of rice. My BF ordered the lomo saltado. Traditional Peruvian dish with beef and French fries. I don’t like how this dish is cooked because I like my French fries all saucy. But this dish is good and has good amount of beef pieces. My friends order another bowl of soup because he was feeling under he weather and his gf got ¼ chicken on top of clinatro pasta. Everything tastes very good. I will be coming back here again!

Amazing Peruvian food! We were very happy with the food we chose and the complimentary cilantro soup(aguadito) and the amazing aji sauce. The wait time was pretty short and the service was great. We got the Pollo a la Brasa(rotisserie chicken) with garlic white rice, Lomo Saltado(beef sautee with French fries), and Tallarin Verde con Bistec Apanado(breaded steak over spinach and basil spaghetti). Everything was amazing. I am happy the chicken wasn’t dry and the fries weren’t soggy. The green spaghetti was a great and it was a unique experience overall. I can’t wait for the express location to open in Hawaiian Gardens!

Was hoping for a good experience given that there was a long line when we got there before the normal rush(5:45 pm on Sunday) but food was really an-a-ok. I ordered the lomo saltado and we had a side of salad. The salad seemed a bit old for our taste, the beef in the lomo saltado was fried up and SUPER dry as if they were covering the fact that this was cheap ol meat or almost expired meat. The fries were soggy and everything about it was ehh. Sauce was non-existent so the rice was not nicely moist. Sad how peruvian food didn’t make out as good as I’ve had at other restaurants and in Peru. Will not be going back. Plus service was not too friendly, seemed to want us quickly out(we had a party of 8) and kept serving food over our heads(um excuse me, please go to the other side of the table to hand over their hot dishes and drinks). We kept doing a pass down of food for them.

Finally, a Peruvian cuisine that I liked. You get great food, big portions, and complementary even with the good prices. When we got here for dinner, this place was showing off their flame rotisserie at the front of the restaurant window. It appealed to me that there is Pollo treasure in that fire brick oven. Dinner was served with two complimentary, bread and cilantro chicken soup. The soup is light, it was almost like rice porridge but soupy, and I couldn’t complain it was free with the entrees and it was good. I ordered the Tallarin Saltado de Pollo its sauteed with lean chicken, onions, tomatoes and spaghetti. The ingredients and the round noodles was well put together, but most of all it was flavorful. Also, it was almost comparable to those Mongolian bbq because of the portions and tasty marinade. This fresh stir fry dish was delicious! What can’t be missed is their Cuarto de Pollo a la Brasa its served with salad and you get a choice of French fries or cilantro rice. Its rotisserie chicken with blackened skin crisp outsides for that touch of hardwood charcoal flavor. The awesomeness doesn’t stop there, simple yet so tasty and tender the marinade kept the chicken juicy. This specialty was totally legit. Their fried plantains were cut into thick pieces. In my opinion they tasted less starchy and sweet but you get more banana with these compared to others restaurants I’ve tried. The waiter who served us that night was friendly but shy. When asked what’s in their spicy green sauce in the bottle he just said its«spicy sauce» with broken English, but actually it was their Aji green salsa sauce. It’s commonly served with bread but it really goes well with the pollo. I was curious of their Inca Kola«The Golden Cola» it just taste like a Fanta Pineapple soda and I thought it might of taste something the ancient Inca’s created. When being in the Lawndale area I suggest a visit to El Pollo Inka, bring a large group or family their booth seating is even wide enough to fit six people, or you can have the table space to yourself, and enjoy the greatness of the Cuarto de Pollo a la Brasa then, feast like an Inca King or Queen.

Yummy, Pollo Saltado and Lomo Saltado tambien :-)
Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday today. Several of us ordered dinner that had chicken in it. The chicken was NOT cooked well, we mentioned it the the manager Eduardo(Edward), he didn’t seem to care.
