New and very clean. They have a good selection but their prices may be $ 1 – 5 more than at other places, but you can’t beat the convenient location! They have a lot of exotic liquors to choose from. There’s also a free rewards program and mailing list for discounts and special tastings!

I’ve been here twice so far and I like the location, the layout of the place, the selection, and the staff. It is located in the Laurel Towne Center and easy to get to. It is situated on the southeast of the complex and across from Harris Teeter. It has parking directly in front of and on the side for easy access. While it was may not be a huge store it is easy to maneuver and navigate where you need to go to pick up your stash. Wines are organized by region(lots of California wines, which I appreciate) on the left… and a section where they conduct tastings. More whine is located in the middle spanning from the regional wine on the left. You can find brands together, boasting a full line of wines. The back of the store has a chilled/refrigerated section for beers, wine coolers and other items you’d pick up before going to an event. Moving to the left of the wines are more of your specialties like dessert wines, chocolate wine, and there is a progression into flavored alcohols, vodkas and cognacs. On the far left there are gift package boxes, mixers, bitters, and mixed drinks(pre-mix). Within a couple of minutes if entering the store I was approached by staff and asked if I needed any help. After I declined I saw that he went to the next aisle over and offered help. There was a wine tasting for a wine brand I love… and the tasting coordinator was very friendly and made sure to catch my attention while I was scoping out the store. I’ve already recommended this place to friends and I will be back, if not only for the convenience and ease to get to.

The good thing is they seem to have a good selection, lots of labels I’ve never seen in the wine section. I picked out a couple bottles I hadn’t seen before and enjoyed both. Prices seem decent, perhaps a little high. What I don’t like about the wine section is that there is no readily apparent organization. I figured it out eventually that it was sorted by region, but I had to read labels to see that, there was no signage which would have been helpful. Speaking of helpful, I was one of the only patrons, it took about 10 minutes for someone to come ask if I was finding everything okay. If they were busy, sure, that’s okay. But they weren’t and the employees were just standing and talking by the register. Points for convenient location and selection, but not much else.

I’ve been eyeing on this stores opening hopefully match or beat Total Wine but very disappointed but who am I to complain. It’s just another neighborhood dressed up liquor-black plastic bag store. Prices are bit higher than Total Wine and more… If you don’t want to drive up there this maybe safer better location. Plus I need cigars and free liquor boxes for my purchases. None in this store. Friendly and accommodating clerks and wine tasting scheduled days. They just opened lets hope they maintain this. Is there a MD law about liquor or alcohol in black bags? To conceal it? Yet everyone knows if its in a black bag its something alcohol related.
