This is a great show. The star of the show is Edwin San Juan. He is fantastic! There are usually two or three other comics on the bill, which they interchange all the time. They can be «hit or miss,» but when the show finally gets to its star, Edwin San Juan, you will laugh your ass off. He is an excellent comic and I guarantee you’ll laugh and have a great time.

What the PUCK?! The headlining comedian’s tag-line is just that. If you are looking for an inexpensive show on the Las Vegas Strip, this is it. No, this not worth $ 200, no this show will not blow your socks off. However, if you are looking for a good Strip show with laugh value, there you have it. The opening comedian’s are a little weak, as with any comedy club. Realize it’s difficult to do stand up comedy, especially in Las Vegas. I would give the overall ambiance a 4⁄5 considering the circumstances. This is a small venue that depends on crowd laughter/participation. If you aren’t laughing… the show isn’t funny. Enjoy it while it’s still cheap!

Sadly, the only 2 acts worth watching was the host(Korea or Khorea) and the headliner, Edwin San Juan. The comics were so damn high(admitted it) that they laughed more at their own lame jokes than the crowd did. We went to the show last FEB2014 and had a blast. We couldn’t stop laughing. This time we couldn’t wait to leave. Note to PH please instruct your acts not to get so stupid wasted that the audience is uncomfortable and the comics are unbearable. Maybe we shouldn’t have booked the show after watching Carlos Mencia?

This place didn’t earn it’s stars until the headliner. Edwin San Juan is absolutely hilarious! I didn’t stop laughing through the whole act! This show is worth seeing for him alone. Working backwards from there, the two openers were not quite as funny as the average guy. The first comedian had a ton of space between jokes and the second had many hits and many more misses. The host was barely funny enough to be in a comedy show. Even before I was in the doors of the theater,(which wasn’t until 8:55, 5 minutes before show time) there were problems. When I went to get my ticket, the line moved at a snails pace because they have to offer you 5 different upgrades before they give you the tickets and you have to sign for them twice. The whole operation was very unorganized. I got to the top of the stairs where the theater entrances are and had no idea where to go. Nobody was really giving directions. People were just kind of wandering around aimlessly. When it is a chore just to get into the theater, you know something is wrong. However, I would go back just to see more from Edwin San Juan.

Got tickets to this show online for my trip to Vegas a few months ago. I honestly don’t remember the first two acts… I’m sure they were funny… The main act, Edwin San Juan, had me rollin’ the entire time. A+. I got the VIP seating deal so I was near the front… second row. There is a separate line for VIP’s so they start to seat them first… and they start to take drink orders in the process. They then start seating General Admission guests a few minutes later. Drink service was good. Cute waitresses… tip them nicely and they’ll take good care of you. Great bang for the buck. It’s located in the Miracle Mile Shops which is a destination in itself…

I got comps for this show and I was really hesitant for a long time to go see it. A lot of the comedy shows in Vegas are not worth the time. Our party got there a little late and were seated in a far corner of the small lounge. There was a host, two feature comedians and headliner. The feature comedians were okay warmed us up for the headliner. The resident headliner Edwin San Juan was hilarious! He’s Filipino and made a lot of jokes about being Filipino. I have lived in the Philippines and could totally relate everything he was saying. Even if you haven’t lived in the Philippines you would totally enjoy the show. Worth seeing!

This was my first comedy show in Vegas… I must say the first comedians were completely awful. I was laughing just because I felt bad that no one else in the room was laughing. Thank god the headliner was Edwin San Juan. He saved the show. I contemplated walking out after the first two comedians. I even think I can come up with funnier jokes than them. But Eddie was hilarious! Extremely inappropriate at times, but totally hilarious. I wouldn’t suggest this show for anyone who is easily offended by racial jokes. I would’ve rated this show higher, but the first two comedians really ruined it for me. The 2nd guy resorted to making jokes about mentally retarded people and children who were born without arms… I just thought it was extremely rude and not funny at all. Here’s some advice to the producers, fire the MC, and the second comedian, and keep Edwin. Then you’ll get 5 stars.

I brought my girl to this show last night. There was 3 performers and 1 host. Host was really funny, moved the show very well, good for younger crowd. all 3 comedians and the headliner were hilarious. They all handled hecklers well, more relatable to a younger crowd. Some jokes about social media had me rolling but left the older white crowd in the dust. Great for a date night, low ticket cost, can find good deals all over the web. Dress casual.

My husband and I like to go to stand up comedy bar I think its very entertaining and its always fun to go especially when you see a very good stand up like Edwin San Juan. He is very funny and honest about himself. He is Filipino so I can relate to most of his jokes because I am Filipino too. Which makes it funnier to me. The crowd was a little bit tight and older but still made them laugh. I believe he is one of the best comedians I’ve seen. We have been to LA a lot to see stand up comedy shows and also here in Las Vegas I am always happy when the headliner is a good one. I want to see him again.

We have been here for a couple of shows and we are never disappointed. The acts change weekly so there is always someone new to see and there are national acts form time to time. It makes a nice date night for. locals and quick nice priced show for tourists. A good value for the money and laughter can help to ease the pain of a loss in the casino.

My husband I went to the Saturday night show and enjoyed ourselves a lot. The host was not as bad as everyone has said(I mean, he wasn’t great but he’s the host). The opening comedian had a different kind of approach to stand up than what I’m used, but he turned out to be quite funny. The headliner, Edwin, was VERY funny. I like when you can tell that comedians are humble and honest, and Edwin seems like a very genuine guy on stage. I would definitely go see him again. The venue is the V2 theater of the V Theater complex and, once again, not as bad as some other reviews have made it out to be. It’s really tiny, but I liked it bc there was not a bad seat anywhere. They lined us up outside and then let the show before us out, but there was not traffic jam as others have suggested. All in all a good show with a GREAT headliner.

Great Headliner Edwin San Juan was funny! But I really enjoyed the middle act CHRISSTORIN from the Bay Area, California, I found him to be hilariously funny and he was just as good if not better than the headliner. A must see with the line up of Edwin San Juan and Chris Storin, best comedy for price in Las Vegas.

I really really really liked the headliner when I went this weekend. The comics were great for the price and it was a good show to take our friend to, who was visiting. The main comic totally deserves his spot, because he rocked it. Here’s why I was bothered: We enjoyed a drink while we were waiting for a show(at the bar outside the entrance) and we were part of — maybe the last 10 — groups to walk in. We had 3 in our group and the usher sat us in the very back row. There was PLENTY of room for 3 closer to the front. I saw a VIP line, so maybe you have to pay extra to get closer but I’m talking 6th and 7th rows. There were at least 8 spots before the back row where we could have sat and that was only on our side. There were empty seats all around us and it’s not like they were taping. If they had been, I might be a little more understanding, to make the room look a little fuller. Sitting that far back didn’t bother our guest but it just didn’t make sense to me. ***TIP: If you get crappy seats by the usher, don’t be afraid to ask to get closer. If I see this show again, I absolutely will ask to be closer if I get shunned again.

Received VIP tickets for any show in V-theater/Saxe and wanted some laughs. My friend and I ended up sitting front row in the very middle and I was sweating at the beginning hoping I would be spared… and I was! Thank goodness the comedians had enough substance that they didn’t need to pick on us. The show was great; Edwin San Juan, my new favorite Filipino comedian(the only I know actually) made my stomach hurt from laughter. I love those yellow-on-yellow jokes… because they are so true! Y’all need to stop whatever you’re doing and grab some tickets to see him ASAP! I would love to see him on TV doing his own show in the near future. He is awesome.

Edwin San Juan the Pilipino comic headliner at LLLCC located inside Planet Hollywood had me in stitches the minute he walked onstage. Besides the fact that the seats are lined up too close for comfort, Mr. San Juan is a must see for a good dose of laughter. It had been too long since my last live comedy performance and yes I bought his t-shirt«What the Puck?» as a gift: D which came with complimentary hugs. So I thank Mr. San Juan for a great night and my friend Gayla. Laughter, hugs, long island ice tea and nachos at La Salsa and good company made a great and fun night. Be sure to valet at Miracle Mile, which is close to the venue, so you don’t have to walk too far…

So there are about a dozen comedy clubs and shows on the Strip. I’ve been to most of them. Let’s talk about the venue: the V Theatre in Planet Hollywood. The theatre is located up a long narrow flight of stairs from the entrance on the Miracle Mile shopping arcade(an elevator is around somewhere for those who need it, but I haven’t used it), and it creates a traffic nightmare as people swarm out of one hourly show and the audience for the next show attempts to swim upstream like salmon seeking to spawn. This space looks like it was an architectural leftover intended to be used for storage, or maybe HVAC machinery. It is a tall, narrow, oddly-shaped room with a stage wedged in on the left side. The seats look like they were appropriated from the conference rooms, and are set up in 4 long rows that trap the people in the middle and prevent them from getting out or receiving drink service. But okay, so the room sucks. That need not be a reflection on the comics. Let’s move on to them. The host is a nice enough guy, but he still needs practice. He’s relying way too heavily on the«where are you from?» and the«anyone here celebrating a birthday?» style of comedy. Lazy. Write original bits. The first and headliner comedians were ok, but relied way too much on race-based humor for my taste. I can tolerate a little of that stuff, but prefer humor that is insightful and not based on tired and increasingly obsolete stereotypes. They *did* have a visiting comic who did a short set that had some incredibly funny material in it, but it was a little too edgy and risqué for most of the room, who sat in silent confusion as the joked sailed over their heads. A note about that: many if not most of the audience got their tickets comped or at steep discounts. It seems like the Planet Hollywood runs the V Theatre as a factory, running cheap shows every hour, and giving out tickets gratis as a way of making low-rollers feel important and valued. The crowd skews older and heavily touristy, especially at the earlier shows. I think the average age at the 6PM Elvis impersonator show is about 60.(At this comedy show it was down around 35 or 40.) Consequently it’s harder to build up a good comedy energy in this room, which does the comics no favors. Also, a note about drinks. Prior to the show, they stage everyone in a cocktail bar that looks out over the Miracle Mile shopping arcade from balconies. The drinks are heavy: $ 16 for my whiskey and soda(although refills are only $ 11). On the other hand, my whiskey and soda came in a pint glass, which lasted me for almost the entire 1-hour show. As I mentioned before, the seats are so crammed together that only the people near the aisles can get waitress service, so don’t plan on that. Conclusions: The Las Vegas Live Comedy Club provides some entertainment, but is markedly inferior to its peers in the«low-end comedy club» category, such as the Laugh Factory at the Tropicana or the LA Comedy Club at Bally’s. While the show there is more entertaining that sitting in your hotel room watching TV, you can probably find a better show for the same or less money elsewhere.

First off, just a word of warning, when you decide to purchase tickets to this show or any other show at the V — Theater, they changed up the format of how you can purchase your tickets. Let me explain. Before you just came up to the ticket booth, tell them what show you wanted tickets for, pay for them, and then you were on your merry way. Now when you tell them what you want, there is a monitor right in front of you where you get asked at least 3 separate times if you want to upgrade your ticket, purchase a souvenir drink, or pick another Planet Hollywood show for 50 percent off. I guess these guys gotta try to make money any which way they can but this new way they are doing it makes your wait in line even longer. So I get in line at 8:20. My show starts at 9. By the time I get my tickets and make my way up to the theater, it is almost 9. Now imagine if I got in line at quarter til. That would of been a fail. Ok so now on to the show. For those that have seen Sin City Comedy(which is now in their own theater inside the casino on the second floor), The Awesome 80’s Show, and The Mentalist, the Las Vegas Live Comedy Club is in the same exact venue. Just like other comedy shows, you have different comedians every week. The stage has more than enough room even for the biggest comedian. As for the seating, I would say you can fit up to about 80 people. There is no bar in there but you can order drinks from the servers that come around. Just don’t forget to tip them. Overall I had a decent time laughing at the various comics that took their turns. I would say a return trip would be ok. I just didnt like the hassle of having to deal with all the extra crap at the box office just to get my show tickets.
