Food is good and low cost. Management and service are poor. No communication between staff and customers. Only come as last case scenario and I’m eating to go.

Here with a conference and decided to come here to avoid the other lunch crowds. Although the burgers were very tasty, our salads did not come out until it was past time for us to leave. We were here a total of 90 minutes. Manager offered 35% discount of the burgers. Hm. Very nice people but will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Good reasonable food. Didn’t know what to expect. Didn’t really want to spend the money at a food court in a hotel, but the patty melt was flavorful and smelled delicious.

Went for breakfast. Considering the Buffett was free, I won’t complain. I wouldn’t pay for than $ 15-$ 20 for this buffet though. It’s a standard breakfast buffet with two buffet stations and an additional omelet station. The pancakes and waffles were sitting and easy, not fresh, made to order. The rest of the food, including he drink/plate service was great! The guy working the omelet station was awesome and had a great variety of ingredients to add. It could be great on good weather days, sitting n the patio outside next to the pool… Maybe I’ll be back…

I came here for dinner with my husband before watching Raiding the Rock Vault. The location was convenient and parking at Tropicana is easy and free. For dinner we split the General Tso’s chicken entrée and the pot sticker appetizer. For dessert, we tried the Smore Pudding. Everything was fine but nothing stood out. For the price, I expected better quality.

Long story short: terrible service, gross food. In case you have a minute I’ll explain … was first seated outside by request, when no one came to help me after 5 minutes I walked back in and asked to be seated inside. I had been sitting out by the pool for 3 hours and needed a cool drink and a bite to eat, this restaurant was the closest thing to the pool so I decided to have lunch there. I wish I would’ve walked across the way to a different hotel to get a decent meal with great service. Unfortunately Wendy was an indifferent & inattentive waitress. I wasn’t greeted & she didn’t even introduce herself… how do I know her name you ask? I read it on the receipt when she dropped off my bill at the end of my meal. that was a first… So anyway, Wendy literally asked what I wanted to drink in passing & kept walking. The restaurant was slow so I didn’t understand her rush. She was just completely rude, no other way to put it. I ordered a Cobb salad with no tomatoes, Italian dressing… she ended up bringing me a plate of lettuce drenched in ranch with a few slivers of egg and walked away. There was no «is there anything else I can get you?» as I am used to being asked… she just walked away. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by California Customer service? Not sure, but she was indifferent & rude. I asked another server walking by if that’s how the Cobb salad was supposed to come, I thought I read that it had bacon and avocado as well? He apologized and did his best to fix it, when he came back he said he asked my server and she thought I said no chicken. Yes, I had said no thank you when she asked if I wanted to add chicken, but that didn’t mean no bacon. Wendy never came back over to see how I was doing or if I needed anything or even to apologize for the salad being completely wrong. The other nice waiter ended up bringing me bacon crumbles and a side of blue cheese crumbles, which was also missing from my salad. I got my bill for $ 23 and change and was upset that I had to pay a dime after being completely ignored by my waitress the whole 20 min I was there. the only time Wendy came to my table was to drop off my check and pick it up again. What’s up with that? I stopped to speak to the manager Mark on the way out after he pleasantly told me to «have a nice day» as I walked out. I was visibly annoyed I’m sure, & explained to him that there was a terrible lack of customer service & encouraged him to address the issue with Wendy. Maybe she was having a bad day, or maybe that’s just her personality. Either way, she should get it together it at least fake being a nice person because paying customers deserve better. He said for me to come back tomorrow and he’d do his best to make it right. I told him I didn’t want anything for free, but the least they could offer was basic customer service. it usually comes with the meal, or at least it should. Not sure if I will return tomorrow to give him the chance to «make it right », I honestly wouldn’t wish this kind of service on anyone. Sad.

My mom visited me for the weekend and we met up here for lunch. The food was pretty good. My mom ordered a Reuben, which turned out really good. I ordered the Cajun pasta. This restaurant impressed me with the Cajun pasta. It had a great Cajun spice flavor and a mix of yummy andouille sausage, chicken, and shrimp! I was actually very surprised by this place. It’s a great place to have lunch at.

I WILLNEVERIGNOREBAD UnilocalREVIEWS. I WILLNEVERIGNOREBAD UnilocalREVIEWS. I WILLNEVERIGNOREBAD UnilocalREVIEWS. But I did this time… for shame… it was close and we were hungry! And appetite is the best sauce, so anything SHOULD have been good. Au contraire. I know they were trying for a beachy theme, so they had these canvas chairs you might find at some caribbean beach restaurant or something. But they were so uncomfortable, I wished they hadn’t gone so far into their theme. I ordered the Cajun pasta. It just wasn’t right. The meats seemed to be leftovers from the night before or something. A little tough, generally flavorless(the chicken especially! That was really bad). The sauce wasn’t anything amazing, fairly bland. I got heartburn anyway. My husband ordered fish tacos. How can you go so wrong with those!!! The tortillas were rubbery. Not even sure how to get that texture. The fish was boring and flavorless. And there was no other flavor that stood out. There was some kind of sauce on it, but not at all memorable, just blah. As hungry as we were, neither of us finished our meals. And it’s not like they were cheap. As we were walking out, I overheard another person mentioning that their fish tacos were awful. Hungry? Try somewhere else, Unilocalers. Learn from my mistake. Maybe walk across the street to MGM.

I have had fish tacos many times before, but this was my first time here. The fish(cod) tasted like it had been reheated a few times. The tortillas they were wrapped in were hard, and chewy — my jaw has never had a workout from eating fish tacos before. The fried tasted reheated and over cooked. The chicken in my wife’s Cajun pasta did not taste right either. We did not finish our meals, and did not stick around for dessert. Overall the it was quiet enough to have a conversation, but as far as the food we were not impressed.

You know the service is bad when the waiter brings you your coffee. and OJ once you have finished your meal. Also saw other patrons that had to get up and track down the waiter for service. Must be a little under staffed. The food was standard fair. Music was a bit on the loud side and difficult to carry on a conversation. Lastly one of my peeves is when the waiter brings you your bill in advance of you finishing your meal and you then have to make an effort to flag them down to pay. We have been staying here at the Tropicana for the last 4 days and our experience in every other way was great.

Not bad but not the best. The waitress was nice but perhaps a little hard to flag down for the check and the food was okay. I think the best part was the outdoor dining area. Definitely a plus on a beautiful afternoon. The waitress greeted us promptly and with a smile. She seemed knowledgeable and kind. The food was just okay. I got the fish and chips. The chips/fries were tasty but the fish was a little plain. I liked the fluffy batter but the fish didn’t have much flavor in itself. A little more seasoning on the fish before dipping in the fry batter would’ve done the trick. I just ended up dousing it with malt vinegar and a glob of tartar sauce. Didn’t care for the side of coleslaw either. It hard an odd seasoning flavor to it. It was reminiscent of Season All seasoning. Not what you expect in coleslaw. The hubby got the Philly Cheesesteak. It was decent. The steak was a little dry but the bread was fluffy and the sautéed mushrooms were good. It’s probably the best place to grab lunch at Tropicana considering there aren’t a lot of choices. Just good ol’ American food.

It was food. I had the past dish with shrimp, chicken, sausage and supposedly sauce. Pasta was the best part. chicken was fatty, sausage had tough casing, and very little red sauce. Over priced for the product.

The staff was great with a greeting from everyone. Décor is nice. For business travelers it feels like you are in a Hilton or Marriott and Breakfast prices reflect that. The buffet was $ 21 which is too high for this establishment and no locals discount. An omelet station, great staff, decent choices rate 4 stars but for those on a budget you can find lower prices. A more realistic price should be $ 14.95 to offer an alternative to the higher priced MGM buffet.

Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I had a 50⁄50 experience at the Beach Café. As we normally do, we ordered in detail and specifically stated that we did not want any type of sauce or condiments on our entrees. Both of our sandwiches came out with an overdose of mayo(the WORST condiment of them all) and mine for some reason had a thick butter on it(the SECOND worst condiment of them all). We obviously can’t eat them because we just geek out with that kind of stuff and had to sit there for exactly 33 minutes and wait for our waitress to come back. We feel as if she saw that we weren’t eating our food and due to the amount of tables she had she stayed away from us and basically ignored us until I stood up and went to another waiter and had to ask for the manager. He did not take anything off our check and did not give us the sandwiches we requested(new ones), just simply asked for us to wipe it all off. Enough said.

It was empty when we came for dinner so the food was really fast which I appreciate. The service was decent. I had the smokehouse burger — medium rare and it came with bacon and cheddar cheese. Pretty standard and it was priced fairly for what it costed. Everybody else seemed to find their meals alright. The food was what you’d expect and nothing terribly wrong that stood out to us. The service was on point with our waitresses topping up our waters often and asking if we needed anything periodically. If you’re in the area and you’re craving something quick and not overly expensive to eat, check this place out!

My experience was decent. The Beach Café is located in the Tropicanna where I was staying so I figured I would try it on my first night in Vegas and not venture out. I dined late on a Thursday night and was seated immediately by a extremely professional and friendly hostess. My waitress was nice and enthusiastic. I ordered the side Ceasar salad which had way too much dressing but it was decent and a good size. I also had the Pan Roasted Salmon which was a tad over cooked but it had a good taste over creamy mashed potatoes and asparagus with carrots. The veggies were fresh, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The highlight of my meal was the strawberry mojito, it was delicious and if they were not $ 12 for each glass which was filled with ice I probably would have ordered a few more. If I was to rate the service alone I would definitely give this place 5 stars. The food was not good quality for the price. My suggestion is if you order the salmon insist they cook it medium rare, overcooked salmon is ruined salmon.

This beach café is one deeeeelicious café. The service is quite friendly and nice, that’s always a bonus to have! The food though oh man. So I ordered the corn beef benedict and it was heavenly. Now I can eat a lot for my size but this plate oh man. It was so filling with the hash potato and egg benedict. Sad to say I finished half. It was so delicious I was upset I couldn’t finish all of it. My gf ordered a breakfast place I think called trop combo. It came with like 2 of everything, heck it needed another plate for the pancakes. Another plate for the pancakes! Her plate was so stuffed with food it was insane! The prices are decent although paying $ 4 for orange juice is quite something. We didn’t get a chance to sit outside as we had our luggage with us. I would probably sit outside to eat and soak in the vitamin d! Definitely a great place to try if you’re nearby!

We love that we could make reservations — that’s always a good start! Fred, our waiter was pleasant and fun and was great and bringing our cocktails to start us off — and made a great recommendation of the special of the night. The ambience was casual and laid back which allowed us to be our crazy zapponian selves. The Appetizers were so good we ordered another round! Two of my fellow Zapponians ordered the special and the rest of us ordered other dishes but ask for alterations from what was mentioned on the menu — they were able to accommodate our requests, that was an awesome touch! From what I heard, everyone enjoyed their meal and we all had fun conversations and great drinks. We came here to team build but also pre game our Benin before we went to see the Rock Vault concert — which by the way was amazing! I would definitely recommend this place to have a meal before continuing your adventure in Las Vegas! Thanks Tropicana — shout out to Fred for great customer service! We hopefully will come back soon for another wonderful evening! :)

Between all the 24-hour joints on the Las Vegas, Beach Café is a undervalued gem. I have been here for their breakfast buffet and their late night dinner menu. Location: Located towards the back of the casino to the side. If you walk past the South Beach Food Court, you are almost there. Food: Breakfast brunch: Apparently the going-rate for the brunch buffet in Las Vegas is $ 19.99+. Here at Beach Café, it is a few bucks more. The buffet selection is small compared to the Bellagio or Bacchanal but it has high quality items. You also get OJ, soda or coffee with your meal. The omelette station is awesome! Late night menu: Burgers, quesadillas, chicken wings and other stuff! Beach Café is usually very dead late evenings, unless there is a convention at the Tropicana. I love their BBQ Chicken Wings(12 wings for $ 12). It’s spicy and there’s plenty of meat on the bones. Quesadilla isn’t very good plus it’s a very small portion. Service & Ambiance: Service is good, both brunch and late night. Service employees are attentive and helpful. There’s a «fake» Miami Beach atmosphere to Beach Café. Palm trees outside and a whole lot of white white white color everywhere. Overall, the brunch buffet could improve a bit more, but their 24 hour diner is arguably the best bang for your buck on the Las Vegas Strip. It just sucks it’s all the way on the south end of the Strip and there’s not much else that the Tropicana offers.

«Yeah, well I should be in Vegas eating at the shrimp buffet, so give it.» — The Big Bang Theory: Season 6, Episode 23 My friends were staying in the Tropicana(and also getting married there), so we met for breakfast/brunch the morning the day before the wedding. The Beach Café was able to somewhat accommodate a medium sized group of us as a high top table on a Friday — a couple people ended up at a different table. Our waitress, Stephanie, was quite lovely and took good care of us. We could opt for the buffet for $ 21 with add-ons for additional money, or just order a la carte from the breakfast menu. The items I wanted were neither on the buffet or on the add-on menu, so I went for a la carte and ended up spending about $ 27 — typical for a good breakfast in Vegas. I had Corned Beef Hash with a poached egg and rye toast and a biscuit and sausage gravy on the side. I also ordered coffee and OJ. The food was pretty good — the egg was perfectly poached and the hash was good — the potatoes were undercooked, however. The hash was a half a step up from the canned stuff, but it was still tasty. Now the biscuit and gravy was quite tasti-licious. The coffee was not horrible, it was drinkable, but no raw sugar on the table. Always disappointing in this day and age and the OJ was the right level of pulpy. For $ 27 I was not disappointed, but I was no blown away. I have had worse breakfasts, for sure. But this is no Wicked Spoon or Hash House A Go Go.
