I had lunch in your restaurant today. The food was very good. However, the bathroom was disgusting and I am not sure if I will go back. You here about restaurants that have food poisoning, Listeria, etc. It doesn’t take long to have clean facilities! Also, I wonder how clean the kitchen is! Being Lebanese, you are giving Arabs a bad reputation!

Excellent Food, Quick Service, good price for the quantity of food you receive. I recommend the chicken schawarma.

I’ve visited twice(wish it was more) and both times I was delighted by the food, the service and the atmosphere. It’s very bright and artistic, cozy and intimate. I do have to say the restroom is not the cleanest and there was no changing area for babies. Which wasn’t an issue this trip, but may be at the next.

First timer, so glad we came here. Staff was very friendly and assisted with recommendations from menu. Ended up ordering the«Toon for Two» which was a sample of everything. Food had amazing flavor and portion size was larger than expected. Easily enough food for 3 people! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because the booth needed to be cleaned and the soda machine ran out of ice. Highly recommend this place!

Best Mediterranean place in town! They are cost-friendly(especially the lunch menu) while serving top-notch food! And to top it off, they have great service. Cannot get any better. Their bread is fluffy, hummus is quality, chicken shawarma is juicy, and everything else tastes equally delicious. I don’t usually go to that side of Lansing but when I do, I make sure it’s around meal time so I can stop by Zaytoon. Delicious without breaking the bank.

We stopped by Zaytoon on a roadtrip. Absolutely loved the place — the food, the staff, the service, everything. We ordered the shawarma salad, hummus, and falafel sandwich. The pita bread that came with the hummus was fantastic — puffy, soft, and fresh. The staff saw that we had 2 little kids, and brought us some extra pita bread, packed up, just for the road for them. Great touch! Highly recommended, and we’re actually considering a detour on our way back just to experience Zaytoon again.

The chicken schwarma was very tasty. The combo can with rice, hummus and a side house salad. The salad had some nice fresh vegetables. Worth your time to try it out. It does get busy so come early.

Phenomenal experience here! Food is delicious and the staff was great. Especially Nathan! Would definitely come here again. The toon for two is enough food for three or four people and it’s all amazing!

We love the food at Zaytoon. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s a plus to have raw vegetable juice available at a great price. I would have to agree with Iman B. It’s the best Mediterranean restaurant in Lansing. Everything is made with great care. The lamb is especially delicious!

SO good! The waiter brought out a warm pita bread basket while our food was being prepared. We got the lenitl soup(which is perfect), lamb grape leaf pita, and chicken shwarma platter. Everything was excellent and Zaytoon definitely deserves all the high reviews. Also, the low prices are a definite plus, especially when the food is still so delicious.

Zaytoon’s food was absolutely amazing! My fiancé and I were in town visiting for the holidays and we just didn’t feel like cooking this year. We ordered a bunch of platters for the whole family and everything was fantastic! The order was ready exactly when they said it would be, and the people helping us were the nicest!

the best Mediterranean restaurant you can find around here. There are a lot different options and the guys there are so nice and helpful. They also offered tea afterwards. You get a lot more food than you expect. they are simply great.

Great find! Beef kabob was awesome. Lentil soup was delicious. Chicken shawarma(again) delicious. Then we ordered raw juice from the menu. Holy amazing. The hi c lemonade is fantastic! If we lived here we’d be back.

Staff was super friendly. It was our first time visiting. You order at the counter, then bring the number to a table and they bring the food out. We ordered the Chicken Shawarma for two(there was probably enough for 3 people), because it came with 2 soups and hummus + pita and fresh bread. The lentil soup was creamy and delicious(not the chunky red/brown style I usually pass over in american restaurants, this was a turmeric yellow). Their fresh bread was delicious(side note: less european style bread and more chinese steamed mantou, except pan seared) and we even requested seconds. Hummus was super smooth and creamy(the gentleman who brought out our food recommended trying the spicy hummus also, so if you like spice too give it a whirl). We also tried the potato kibbie(spinach filling, surrounded by spiced mashed potato, shaped into a football and fried. Very tasty). The chicken shawarma was served with rice and came with a garlic sauce. Everything was delicious and my mouth rejoiced after not having chicken shawarma for so long. We used to go to Sultan’s in east lansing(the one which was next to El Azteco and unfortunately is no longer there). So glad we found this place on the west side. Looks like they have outside dining available during the warmer months. It was pretty busy when we stopped in for dinner, so seating may be limited. Additional notes: They have lots of smoothie drink options which we didn’t try this time, but we’ll certainly be back. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available! We drank water this first time around, total bill came to just under $ 30(including tax and tip). I’m not sure how big their regular portions are, but I’m more than willing to go back and find out.

Not bad. A welcome addition to the this side of town. I can’t give them 4 stars though. The environment is nice. The place appears to be clean and the staff is friendly. Food was prepared quickly and there were some elements that were good. Okay, but… The fattouch was soaked in dressing. Almost inedible. The Green Acres juice was very watery, lacked flavor, and was not very appealing. The Chicken Schwarma was average, but the main course reminded me of buffet Chinese with Mediterranean flavored. Hummus was okay, but nothing special. The pita was not fresh. It’ll do in a pinch and the price is reasonable for the quality. I was hoping for a bit more.

they do a large lunch crowd. Usually I have a hard time finding a parking spot or seat in restaurant at around 12:15. the chicken schwarma is great, the fatoush salad dressing is the best I’ve head. The homemade pita is a little on the dense side compared to what La Shish in Dearborn used to offer. I had lamb once at it was good, granted under seasoned. I go here frequently.

Wow. I’m not from here. Visiting family and Zaytoon was a recommendation from someone else. Got the toon for two and it was enough food for dinner and lunch tomorrow. And every. Single. Thing. was amazing. The schawarma was my favorite but everything was delicious. 5 out of 5 for sure. Amazingly the only thing better than the food was the amazing service. Made a newcomer feel at home. Amazing all around.

I am a food snob. Coming from Detroit/Dearborn makes my Middle Eastern pallet refined, even if I can’t spell half of the dishes. Walking in, little confused but it is a counter where you order, get a number and find a table. They bring the food to you, you get your own pop and refills. Prices — super reasonable. My whole meal was $ 10 and I got a pop. Got a vegetarian combo which came with choice of soup/salad, tabouleh, falafel, and hoummus. Two pieces of bread, pita and soft roll. The soup was good. Actually everything was good, but needed more garlic. Good, cheap, fast. Oh and super friendly. But packed.

Wow! I love Middle-Eastern food and I’ve eaten it for years. There are lots of good restaurants near me but this place in Lansing tops them all. A few things stand out. First, the food tastes home-made. A lot of places say that but you can actually believe it here. For example, I got veggie cabbage rolls. Instead of the usual tomatoey recipe I’m used to, this relied on spices and aromatics. Terrific! The crushed lentil soup was warning and balanced rather than being a sea of cumin. Second, Zaytoon is mindful of gluten-free dinners(like my wife). They have an entire gluten-free menu. They also allow substituting rice without vermicelli(little wheat strands); this is almost unheard of at Middle-Eastern restaurants. Last, it has great atmosphere. You walk up to the register and order and they give you a number for your table. You can then sit and absorb the room. It’s comfortable, convivial, casual. On the day we visited, there was a sprinkling of college students, single Millenials and families but we older people felt at home there, too. I was totally impressed by Zaytoon. If you like this kind of food and are anywhere in the area, you must go!
