Like this location, workers always friendly and they check up on you if you’re done with your plates

I love the food, great variety of things to choose from. The major problems i had at the restaurant was that the line for customer service check out was slow, there was at least 20 people in line waiting. Even the guest that were with me were complaining about the slow service. I think you need to get more cashiers as well as hosts or hostesses to help lead people to their tables. On the positive side John the waiter did an excellent job servicing our table, on top of things. Give that man a raise!!!

I wanted to review Souplanantion simply due to the value it provides. Is this gourmet food? Of course not! What I like about this place is that if you are trying to eat cleaner, if you are a vegan or if you are trying to detox by avoiding meat, this is the place for you. When you walk in, it’s very streamlined. You can get your salads first, then your soups, and then if you want they have breads and desserts. They also have ice cream machines, but I am usually too stuffed from salad! If you know in advance that you will go, check your weekly mailer or online for a coupon to save some $$$. Except to spend about 8 – 10 $ per person. Thanks! #12/2016

Souplantation is Home Town Buffet’s arch enemy. Soups and salads vs. meat and carbs. Who wins? I will let you choose, but in my opinion Souplantation wins hands down! Its the«healthier» buffet of choice, but don’t expect mashed potatoes and gravy and french fries and slabs of meat here. Build your own salads are amazing and usually stocked fresh, and you can keep coming back for more. I enjoy the variety of soups they have and they usually never run out. Must Haves: Chocolate brownie muffin, corn bread, garlic foccacia, chicken noodle soup, clam chowder, Mac N Cheese and baked potato. Had an okay experience at this Souplantation. sadly I have had better at other Souplantations. The quality and consistency was not up to par. For one, the Mac N Cheese although plentiful in the pot … was light orange. I knew when I saw it it would be watery, and indeed it was. Lacked flavor. Second, the ice cream machine blasted all over and there was none left in there. It took a while to get it replaced. These simple indulgences should be easy things that should never be done wrong. Watery Mac n Cheese? A simple taste test, or eye test would have told the cook or lead that it needs to be re-done. I love it more than Kraft Mac N Cheese, but not that night.

$ 29 for 2 people, 1 drink. I’m used to the Souplantation in Beverly Connection, and over there, there is way more things to choose from and it’s worth the money. I basically got 1 salad(size of a side salad) and 1 bowl of soup for $ 13. Bah.

I’ll keep this short and simple! My loves: *Clam chowder + pizza combo!!! The salty cheese and tart tomato sauce from the pizza meshes incredibly well with the creamy clam chowder *corn bread + honey whip… need I say anything? *soft serve ice cream + strawberry lemonade!!! I personally think it tastes better with the vanilla soft serve… unfortunately it was out of order. It tastes similar to frostbite. Souplantation houses my favorite strawberry lemonade… EVERRRR!!! Give it a try if you love yourself. It is on the sweeter side though. …everything else is relatively mediocre. The pastas are super bland pizza by itself is a bit too salty and slightly on the soggy side. The prices rather significantly compared to the last time I came here.

Great buffet if youre a vegetarian however if youre a vegan this isn’t the place for you. There are a few options but definetly not enough to say this is a meal. If youre neither this is still a great place to eat if youre not looking for a heavy meal. The renovated inside really works well with the food. It has a fresh farmhouse look to it.

Not the soup plantation I remember… everything was really gross. Like so gross. The bread was soggy, the 2 pasta choices were bland, the mac and cheese was watery. Even the soups were just horrible. I mean, I have never had such bad food ever. Not to mention, for 2 people for lunch, it was $ 30! Yuck. Save your money. Eat someplace good.

This location was really nice. Its quite large and lots of tables and bar sitting areas. The booth was comfy that I sat at. Everything was really good and fresh. Nothing seemed to be left out for long periods of time. Everything was constantly being filled when it was going low. Parking was good. The bathrooms were quite clean and kept up too. I will come back if I am even in the area …

I love all you can eat soup, salads and carbs. I have been visiting this location for quite some time and they always have fresh ingredients. The restaurant shares a parking lot with the lakewood mall eateries and stores so you will not have trouble finding any parking. The restaurant had a recent re-model and everything looks pretty nice with«country fresh» décor. The salad bar, soup and bread stations are always kept clean and tidy. If an employee does not catch a mess quick enough, I always inform them and the response time is fairly quick. The salad bar is always fresh and full of very colorful veggies for your salad. I remember they used to have premium add ins for an extra cost but I did not see that at yesterdays visit. Pasta station: mac n cheese, some tomato spaghetti and italian pasta. Please keep in mind all their pastas are fairly bland but you can always add more seasoning. Soup station has around 6 different soups. The two soups that are always there are chilli and chicken noodle(my fave). The other soup flavors will vary from month to month depending on the theme of foods(keeps things interesting). Coffee station: you can get the coffee mugs near the payment desk. There is a fresh brew, and two additional flavors. Another decaf dispenser. The cream is located in the dessert bar near the fruit. They also have multiple tea bags in the case you are not a coffee drinker. Dessert station: There is different flavors of dessert pudding and fruits. Soft service ice cream: Delicious creamy chocolate and vanilla ice cream. add ons of fudge/caramel and oreo cookies are on the side. bread/potato station: Left side of the station has bake yams and potatoes. Yams are in yellowish foil and bake potatos are in regular silver foil. These are perfectly cooked. Right next to the potatoes are the focascia bread, pizza bread, blueberry muffins(always there), cornbread(always there), seasonal taste muffins and butter additives. If you see an item run out and the man/women behind the counter does not fill. Just remind them and they will bring some more out. **keep in mind the only sources of protein/meat are in the chicken noodle soup and the deep kettle chilli pots. Other than those, it is all vege. Lastly, do not forget to join their club for discounts and coupons. If you do not want to join the club like me, you can always look up the most current coupons of the month. You can either print them out or show the code image on your smartphone. We were able to take advantage of the dinner special 2 for 24 dollars which includes drinks last night. If you want to eat something healthy and filling… come here. I will continue to visit this place for their fresh and declisiou food.

Souplantation is always a great deal for a variety of fresh if not bland healthy-appearing food, so this review is for the location. Though it’s clean, the tables have napkins, and unlike others, the food area is divided by a table with plates, bowls, and silverware, it’s my least favorite location, perhaps because Lakewood Center is a clusterfudge, I’m the token white guy here, the womens bathroom smells like bleach and movement, and my unempty plate got taken away twice without asking. I won’t be ripe back.

I really like souplantation. I don’t know if it’s just this location, but a majority of the trays, dishes, bowls, and silverware are dirty. So pretty much everything. It’s not even a little speck here and there. There are so many stains and actual food chunks on some of the bowls and dishes. I couldn’t enjoy my food knowing how dirty everything was. Truly disgusting. After this experience I’m absolutely never coming back.

I love Souplantation. That said, this particular location has an awkward layout where the food is. It’s not good for large groups of people at all. The food is exactly at the same place where people are waiting to be seated at their tables. Too much traffic, in my opinion. They no longer have chicken in the Chinese Chicken Salad. but it’s still delicious. They also came out with a new BLT salad which is quite good! Just make sure you come here with a coupon! Also this place is super busy on Sunday for lunch. However the workers are nice which I appreciate.

If you’ve been to one Souplantation, you know what the food is about so I’ll comment more on the location itself. Service: The service was lacking and it wasn’t until we were ready to leave that someone came by to pick up our used plates. We eat slow and were there for close to an hour so the service definitely could have been better. Organization: The organization of both the food and exit are a bit of a mess at this location. The food is oddly organized and we never did figure out where certain items were location. The exit was along the side but took some hunting to figure out the correct path to take between all of the tables. It gets very busy at lunch so good luck finding your way out. Food: Most things were kept well stocked but I was surprised that there were popular items that never seemed to be ready. This was before the rush so I don’t know how they kept up after that. Overall, ok. I would come here again. Tip: Look for coupons before coming here. It makes paying for mostly salad worth it.

This is our go to lunch Souplantation spot. I’ve been coming here for years, years I said. They recently renovated the place and I have to say, it’s looking pretty darn good now. The service is always good. We’ve been coming here so long, we know the lady that clears our plates(Rosa) and she always has a smile on her face. Basics: All you can eat salad. Sounds healthy right? It can be, but I don’t do healthy to good. lol. Yes, I eat the veggies, but if you put a cup of thousand island dressing on your salad, is it really that healthy? lol Good thing they have a couple of pre-made salad at the beginning of the line. Usually a Chinese Chicken Salad(not a lot if any chicken) or a Greek inspired salad. Both are good. Soup: 7 to 8 different soups to choose from. They have the regulars, Clam Chowder, Chili of some sorts and a veggie(split pea soup, my favorite and yes I know it’s a legume, not a veggie. hahaha) soup to chose from. Tip: Oyster cracker, tobasco and pepper are all at the end of the soup line. Baked items: Who can’t resist a fresh baked blueberry muffin, Yum yum yum! They also have cornbread, flat bread pizzas, baked potatoes and a lot more. And of course you need the butter or whipped honey for that extra calorie. lol Pasta: Mac N Cheese please. Yes, they’re not good on their own. lol. so head over to the ice cream station(don’t ask me why, but that’s where the cheese and onions are, lol) Add more shredded cheese, that will improve it 50%. Then add pepper and salt when you get to your table. lol You’ll end up with a half way descent mac.(I’m wierd, so I add a little butter, sour cream and green onions on mine, hahaha) Desserts: I don’t do dessert here, that’s because I already stuffed my self silly and there is absolutely no room for dessert. lol. But if you have room, they have soft serve ice cream, fruits(canned), pudding and jello =) When you want a healthy meal, this is the spot. Just don’t do what I do. hahaha. 2015 Review #64

They’ve recently upgraded their trays and plates, and seating that better matches the restaurant and is way less tacky. Soups and salads here are always delicious and the right temperature. Was hoping to find broccoli cheddar but I’m guessing it’s seasonal? Cashier was great and honored the coupon that was being passed down the line. Definitely will be back! (Visited 04/28/20157:25PM)

Too many people love souplantation. I can’t understand why because on average their food is mediocre. Some pastas are tasty and some are dry. Some soups are just salty broth and some soups make you reach for seconds. Some of the breads by the bakery are just warm empty carbs and some breads are addicting(I’m looking at you blueberry muffin). This is what I mean by averagely mediocre. Some foods are bad and some are good. Their attempt at breakfast was bad, they should stick to lunch and dinner. Eggs were dry. French toast was crunchy on one side and soggy on the other side. Waffles were limp and weren’t the light yet crisp Belgian waffles you’d expect. Service is always good. But that doesn’t make up for the dishes that are bad or the fountain water that was a little dirty with little specks of black on the bottom of the glass as if it’s not filtered. The tables/chairs are designed weird as if they were for little kids. Either the table tops are short or the chairs are too high but this leads to your food being too low so you sort of have to crouch to eat and not make a mess. Also their cones for the soft serve are a joke.

I must have been spoiled by the Sweet Tomato’s in Tigard, OR, because I found my experience at the Souplantation in Lakewood a disappointment. Shawn H. Is absolutely right — never pay full retail! We used the coupon sent out every Thursday, so paid $ 8.99 per person for the Adult Lunch Combo, plus tax. Don’t get me wrong … our visit wasn’t bad, it’s just that 1) the building is so tired, I do not believe it has been updated in thirty-plus years. 2) When I picked up trays from the stack at the door, there was food stuck to the first two trays — brownie in one case, lettuce and something else on the second. I do appreciate convenience, but I will get my own food, thank you! 3) Locating a clean tray, I reached for plates, and found one with a big chip out of the edge, a second with food stuck to it, and a third with a big crack in it. Come on, guys! So, with clean tray and plate, I move through the line, loading up like, as my mother would say, a man with a hollow leg. Arriving at the register, coupon in hand, it is time to stop eating with my fingers, and pick up a spoon and fork. 4) Yes, I had to sort through several to find a spoon and fork that didn’t have schmutz on them. The cashier was visibly embarrassed! This just darkened my whole visit. Three Stars.

First time visiting this location. It seemed to have really fresh food. It was a lot cleaner and more spacious than other locations. It also didn’t appear to be as crowded during the dinner rush hour. They didn’t have any unique food items, but the food did taste better than usual. The garlic focaccia cheese bread was really yummy. I think it tastes a lot better than the normal pizza bread that they always offer. A lot of their soups are really salty, so I would suggest mixing in some of the broth from the chicken noodle soup. It helps to neutralize the high sodium concentration in the tastier soups and it still tastes really good. Never pay full price! If you sign up with your email they send you electronic coupons every Thursday! This one is in a really nice location. There are a lot of shops and other restaurants surrounding it. Enjoy your soup! Bye bye.
