I have been into this place twice now with my girl friend, and have yet to get greeted, at the same time there has only been one person on staff, I know they are busy, but after five minutes it is not excusable to be greeted or asked for help. This place is a joke. The only bonus to it is being able to use my sister’s Pro Card. Anytime I come in here, some poor soul is being horribly misguided by an employee. Anytime I’m in here with my sister, a licensed professional, she’ll give advice to the best of her ability and we get the worst service when we go to check out. Sorry you don’t know how to tell people to do their hair properly. Sally’s should really hire professionals, not people who watch YouTube to do their hair or people or aren’t even licensed yet. Only giving two stars because I love the selection they have in the Ion Color Brilliance.

I was absolutely disappointed this time due to a very disappointed experience in the store today. Before I wrote this review, I read another review here. She totally expressed the feeling and experience in the store, and the attitude of the blond and black haired grumpy manager. Actually, I had awkward experience with this manager twice. I arrived Sally before it was closing in 5 – 10 mins, and the manager told us they’re closing in 2MINUTES. Okay, then we rushed for what we need from the store. However, we heard she said to the next customer that they will be closed in 5MINUTES. WHATWASGOINGON? Does she understand the difference between 2 mins and 5 minutes, or is she trying to close the store forever? How can she tell us closing in 2 mins, but 5 mins for the next customer??? I really doubt! That was the first BAD experience that I felt like discriminated or something wrong with me. The main point of this review is toto tell what have happened today! Firstly, I walked into the store and she stared at me then said«Welcome to Sally.» I was trying to get some semi-permanment dye for my hair. My friend did my hair before and she did not use it with developer, so I’m not sure if I need one or put it on my hair with something else because I’m not familiar with dying hair. Then, I brought the product up to the front desk and asked the manager for how to put it on my hair. Her replied was«what do you mean by how to put it on?» Seriously?! Yes, I’m asking how to put it on and I just want to make sure! Some products don’t need to use with developer. That’s fine, she told me I need to put it on with developer #20. I did not feel a good tension when she answered my queries. After I grabbed the products I need for my hair, the manager was checking out for another customer and I checked out at the desk next to her. I was asking the staff the difference between developer #20, #30, and #40. The staff made me to wait for the manager to explain to me. Thats okay, but when the manager tried to answer my question, her face just told me that I’m an idiot and asking stupid questions while she was just talking and laughing with the previous customer. That’s totally unacceptable, maybe I’m Asian and she doesn’t want to talk to me. When the staff started checking me out, the manager grab the semi-dye and asked the staff«how to you put this on without develop?» Really, you ask an ironic in front of your customer who just asked you how to put this on? Did she mean people who are inexperience in dying are not welcome to the store? The entire experience in the store today was DISAPPOINTEDANDTERRIBLE. I would never return or recommend anymore to this store anymore. I have been the US for 4 years, and I have never encountered such WORST in-store experience. I’m a customer who come for products to boost your sales, and you’re an employee who serve customers who need help. And now the customer just needs your help to make sure something, how can you have such attitude? I am really frustrated, and this is my first time to write a long review to express my feeling. I think this is not just happened on me only, I believe other customers had such bad experience like me. Lastly, I apologize for my long complaint and I just want to explain my feeling and experience.

I just needed to use my $ 5 off coupon and wasn’t too sure what I was going to buy. I walk in and a lady greets me. A few minutes later, the lady and another ask if I need help with anything. I tell them, nope! I got it covered. I end up buying some tweezerman tweezers and on top of my $ 5 off, there is a discount for members of Sally’s Beauty Supply! That made my day. Overall, a success.

I have purchased many temporary hair dyes from this store in the past with out any complications. The other day was a complete opposite experience. One I have never spoken with the manager before or ever seen her and second there was another employee working I have also never encountered. Apparently they were restocking the shelves in the isle that held the dyes I was there to purchase. There was never a «please excuse» sign placed to warn you to keep out as the shelving unit currently being stocked was unstable, first wtf. Second my son happens to have a natural strawberry blond coloring to his hair. After being bitched for being in the isle to begin with the«manager» proceeded to argue with me over the fact that the dye I had chosen would not take to his hair and continued to school me on the fact I needed to bleach his hair prior… oh wait let me just sit my four year old down and bleach his sensitive scalp with bleach way to go. At this point I will mention this is not the first time we have used the semi dyes on his hair, and go figure they have taken to the exact wanted shade every time! I have over 15 years experience with these dyes. After about a 10 minute argument WHILE my son was by my side I just asked for the colors I came for while the«manager» and other assistant continued to run their mouths. Needless to say there were many unprofessional«going ons» in this particular store that day and they have now lost a once loyal customer. If you see said blond and black haired grumpy manager approach with caution.
