Been to 3 DMVs recently. Petaluma was most efficient with shortest wait time. I thought Santa Rosa DMV was bad with a very long wait, but the DMV in Lakeport takes the cake. If you go there without an appointment, plan on spending at least 4 to 6 hours. Last time my husband and I went, we arrived about 10:30 and took number 76… they were only on no. 14. We went shopping for an hour then back to DMV… they were only on number 25. Went out again for an hour and ½.when we came back to DMV. they were on number 41… So it went until our number finally got called at 3:57 pm. We just had a couple questions… the clerk spent less than 5 minutes to answer. What a joke! Why can’t they hire more people? Or have a more efficient system… like an express lane for issues taking 5 minutes or less?

If you have all day to spend in a tiny room with out of control screaming kids then go for it! Never ever ever again!
