I was insulted and felt verbally abused by staff! I tried to explain my situation and the lady at the counter snarled at me not to argue with her, while she went on to try to shame me and attack my character in front of others! I think she is the manager! Yikes! Very unprofessional and rude. No respect at all! Especially not for senior citizens or elders. Unfortunately, it is the only pool in town and for health reasons I «need» to swim(albeit slower than some). If I was not a senior citizen and I could drive to Ukiah, I would do it in a heartbeat! I want to feel safe at the neighborhood gym that I attend!

Unfortunately, QR is the only full-service gym in Lake County(I think.) Their Zumba teacher, Jodi, is lovely. The Manger, Heather, however is a piece of work. She said her arents are the owners. She was hateful towards my children, rude to me, and even threatened me. It was very odd. IDK, maybe she’s a drinker or drug user? When I told her I felt she was being unkind, she backed down a bit, but was still amazingly rude. Odd and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I want a place to swim until the municipal pools open. Perhaps I should just make the drive to Ukiah. :-/

Although I had heard horror stories about this gym while it was under previous ownership, when I purchased a membership at the end of last year, I never would have guessed they were actually talking about Quail Run. The owners and staff are more than friendly. The center is clean and modern with a bar, grill and game lounge out front. The staff remembers your name, seem genuinely happy to see you, and the entire experience of entering the gym is an incredibly motivating one. I’m always haooy to be there. I attend a body sculpting class on tuesday and thursday evenings that I absolutely love! The instructor is PHENOMENAL. Always has a fresh routine, yet I can see I’m making progress and gaining strength with every class! and of course, with their new tanning bed, Quail Run makes for the perfect pitstop for 2 out of 3 of anyone’s GTL routine! lol

New Owners… newly updated and well maintained. New luxury spa and salon added. Beer & Wine and some food also served. Great place to hang out with friends after a competitive racquetball game or walleyball game. Check it out!

Quail Run is the only game in the county. The old owners ran it like they didn’t care at all. It was really shabby and kind of ew. The new owners have updated the whole place & added a juice/snack bar. They have lots of classes and they maintain the pools really well(I go there to swim) The staff is always nice and helpful. I’m a fan!

Ehh… Quail Run is okay. It looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 80’s — the machines are really old and some aren’t even plugged in. The pool looks decent. Sadly I think it’s the only gym in the area so it might be worth the $ 10/day visitors fee if you’re in a pinch but I was very disappointed.

Quail Run is the only full-blown«fitness center» in the county, as far as I know. There are others that have weight rooms and treadmills, but Quail Run has indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, a weight room, treadmills/etc, hot tubs, raquetball, and a basketball/aerobics area. I’ve been a member there off an on for the past several years, mostly in the winter when I want to get some exercise and play raquetball. Their facilities are rather run-down…they’ve been in business since the 80’s, and don’t exactly stay on top of needed repairs. But if you’re looking for a local spot with a lot of facilities(eg, raquetball), you’re basically stuck with Quail Run. On the plus side, the folks their are nice, and it’s all pretty laid back. Decently priced-I think it’s $ 50/month for a single membership, or $ 70 for a couple, or $ 80 for a family.
