My favorite Mexican restaurant in West Palm Beach for tacos. I usually come on Wednesdays for $ 1 chicken or ground beef tacos.

I had heard multiple people tell me that this was THE place for tacos in PBC. I gave it a shot on a quiet Monday evening. I am not sure if the location makes a difference but … I ordered Al Pastor tacos and they were bland with no taste of cilantro and onion despite having the ingredients clearly in the taco. I will assuredly not come here again and will continue to stick with Taqueria Guerrero on Belvedere just west of Dixie in the plaza next to Publix. Taqueria Guerrero is STILL the best Mexican food, the best tacos, and the best burrito you can eat in Palm Beach County.

Very bland food and avoid any«wet» burrito items on the menu as you will be offered a drowning mess. Food is very low in quality overall. It is open late which is why I think it gets some good reviews. Not a good local place or a place where locals eat. Check out Taco Lady or Lupitas for that.

Actually 4.5 stars. In one word — excellent and authentic!

Ok I was drawn by the previous reviews, and I have a passion for great food truck cuisine. Tacos al Carbon was literally located in a seedy neighborhood parking lot next to its restaurant fast food shop. Outdoor tables to sit at with a few homeless people. Ok I was by myself and only had the wet carne asada burrito. Sounded good, but what I got was a sloppy under seasoned dish with no kick covered in a sloppy enchilada sauce, guacamole and sour cream. The complimentary green sauce and sliced lime were of little help, I left hungry. Don’t think I will ever be back.

Had the spicy pork taco, steak taco, and chicken taco. All 3 were good, but that spicy pork stood above the rest. Good flavor throughout each bite from all 3 tacos, just that pork was on another level. Delicious, fresh, and surprisingly cheap. Just gotta eat the tacos right away. They probably would have been exceptional if they were in their original state of warmth.

Best taco joint in the Lake Worth area. Their lunch deals run several dollars less than comparable places even though the portion sizes are larger and they certainly don’t skimp on quality. I get the ground beef tacos. They come with just the right amount of spice, and the lettuce and cheese are always fresh. Between the tacos and the enormous helpings of rice and beans that come on the side, you won’t find any surface area of your large plate uncovered when you get your lunch. The complimentary chips and salsa are a solid 9⁄10. Definitely a place to try for Mexican food lovers in this part of town.

The only reason these guys aren’t getting 5 stars is one reason. We love the tacos, enchiladas, the tortas are decent and the service is pretty good. The only issue I had is that sometimes my tacos are cooked a little too greasy. Most of the time the tacos are right on but i have had a few over time that were dripping grease. It ruined that taco for me. But all the other flavors were awesome. I will come here often because its easy, quick, good and the service is decent. I am going to try a few other items on the menu and who knows it may sway me into a 5 rating.

Every bit as delicious as their 24-hour taco truck, but in a sit-down environment. Barbacoa and pastor are some if the best I’ve ever tasted, anywhere. Fresh chips and salsa are great(and it’s complimentary at this location). Tacos al Carbon is the champ in South Florida.

My friends always get veggie burritos and are always a hit. Personally I like tacos de carne asada. It’s spot every time. With an horchata or pineapple cantaloupe or watermelon water you can’t beat it. Homemade salsas are spicy and pretty damn good, too!

What better sight than watching them scoop up some fresh avocados for your burrito at 2 am in the night? Yes this happens at this location as well. Operated from a truck that is located in a little strip mall, this one is just as authentic and has the same freshness in food like its counterpart on Military and Lake Worth. Both being open 24 hours is a great bonus. Surprisingly its the same price, taste, and flavor and its difficult to even call out anything different in terms of food between the two Tacos Al Carbons. For late night grub, nothing beats these taco places. Although this one in the early AM time does get some crowd that isn’t very pleasing, and given that there is a bar or something like that in that strip mall, my first preference would always be the other location on Military. This is a great back up though.

Really yummy authentic Mexican food. They have a food truck or a small restaurant where you can sit inside. I always get the carne asada tacos, but much better when you eat it there rather than getting carry-out — but I guess that’s what happens when you get fresh food without all the preservatives. Great prices too.
