Von Maur

My favorite department store. They carry my favorite brands for suits, ties, and sportswear, including Brooks Brothers. They’re one of only two department stores to do so! Live pianist. Outstanding customer service.

This is in response to 1÷25÷2015.
I have never seen a store with such customer service and class in my life!!! And I am a picky person.
Apparently Steven B. is a Wal-​mart shopper and needs to stay away from classy people in Lake Louis.
You obviously don’t apprecaite quality merchandise and service.
I will not shop anywhere else.

Yawn City. I have never been so bored shopping in my life. My friend Norma and I had heard all sorts of exciting things about this store, so we ventured out of the city to give it a try. The merchanding was boring and nothing really caught our eye.
For me personally, I did like their selection of Tommy Bahama, but I can find a better variety and prices at Kim Kuehner in Ladue. They did have a very colorful selection of socks which is one of my weaknesses, but not worth the drive to Lake Saint Louis.
Looking at cocktail dresses and power suits in the ladies department, we were amazed at the contruction and name brands available. Neither of them would have been worth the prices they were asking. We also checked out the room for clearance shoes. Carrie Bradshaw would have ran out of the room saying, «WTF».
What shocked us the most was the customer service. That is what we had heard so much about, how wonderful everyone was and they kiss your ass more then Nordstrom. While we browsed the entire store, including the jewelry counter, not one sales associate said a single word to us. I guess we looked like city folk (LOL).
If you live near Von Maur, it may be an okay store to shop. However, for me the drive is to far and I pass way too many better stores to get out here. I can assure you, I will never be back.

Von Maur is a wonderful store to shop for Christmas. I know it’s early, but closer to to Thanksgiving, they have Christmas songs on a baby grand, hot chocolate and I think on the weekends, pictures with Santa. The service is unbelievable. My cousin was looking for Hunter boots. I told her to call Von Maur. She called and they are shipping them today

Ladies at the jewelry counter are fabulous! They always have my Pandora charms. Clean store.

This store represents what shopping used to be about. Good service, good product mix and gorgeous surroundings.
The ladies lounge is superb especially if you need to sit for bit to rest your feet.
I love the free gift wrapping service. Hard to believe they still do it.

I had a ton of fun when I stopped in looking for something special for my two nieces. I was please with the friendly, helpful service as well as excited by the huge customer service department. After making my purchases, I simply took them to customer service where they wrapped everything beautifully for FREE! Also, I found out they offer free shipping to pretty much anywhere. Finally, if you care, they also offer a finance free store credit. That’s pretty good in my book.
Their prices are a little less than you would find at say Nordstrom’s. I only gave them a 4-​star rating because the men’s department seriously lacked any sort of options for a man of my age and style. Now, if I were in my 60’s and looking for boating attire, I might be good. With that said, however, their selection of men’s shoes is incredible. I love Olu Kai and they have just about every style for which a man could ask.

Wonderful family owned store based in the Quad Cities (IL/​IA). As a former central IL resident I have fond memories of going to the Bloomington-​Normal, Decatur, and suburban Chicago locations. Think a step below Nordstrom but nicer merchandise than Dillard’s, upscale, smaller and more mangaeable — live piano music. Super customer service, free shipping anytime and no interest charge.

Great service! Love the ‘free’ gift wrapping. Nice to not need to drive down into St Louis County to get a similar level of service from a department store. Decent selection. Love the piano on the main floor. Great kids departments. My girls love the dress selection.
