If you’re in Lake George and are looking for a fun indoor activity, head to Adirondack Winery room for a tasting. It’s always vibrant and bustling with a ton of different people. And of course, because lots of wine is being consumed, everyone is in a great mood. For 6 bucks you can taste 7 wines of your choice, plus you get a souvenir wine glass to take home. There are a ton of different wines to choose from, so it can definitely get overwhelming. My favorite was the Red Barn which was a really rich red cab. I should have stuck to some more classic red/white options instead of choosing some of the fruit wines, because a few of them were too sweet for my liking. Add on a cheese plate for an extra 5 dollars? Do you really need to ask me? Done and DONE. It’s a local cheese plate and every week they switch up the options. We had a white cheddar and another cheese with sun dried tomato. Both cheeses were the perfect accompaniment to the wine… because what cheese isn’t. Really glad we ordered. Of course, no trip is complete without a few bottles to take home. If you buy 6 you get the 7th free, but I wasn’t trying to buy that much vino. Two for me please– one red, one white! The shop itself is also really cute and has a ton of funky wine gifts. I like tasting wine. I like cheese. And I like spending 11 dollars to do both of those things together. Guess that means that I really like Adirondack Winery too!

Came here for a wine tasting last weekend and it was fun but nothing special. The prices are good and I like that you get a complimentary wine glass to take home; makes for a nice souvenir. The worker was very friendly and made conversation with us, giving us really helpful recommendations for dinner spots. They also make really delicious wine; I ended up buying two kinds. The first was a very light white that tastes exactly like strawberries and the other, my personal favorite, is a dessert wine called«Calm After the Storm.» It’s weird that I enjoy it so much because it is a red wine that tastes like dark chocolate, neither of which am I particularly fond of usually. They also make delicious wine slushies, which was the perfect summer treat. That being said, the space is small. We’re lucky we got there when we did because, 15 minutes after our arrival, it was completely packed and people had to wait to be served. Also, while the server was very nice, she was a bit slow in pouring our glasses. Usually after a wine tasting you leave with a nice slight buzz, but that didn’t happen here because of her pace. Finally, there’s no bathroom, which I think is pretty silly.

On a rainy day of our little trip to Lake George we decided to come here to pick up a few bottles of wine for my friends girl friend when he goes to visit her week in West Virginia. The place was packed with people doing wine tastings so I figured hey why not do one myself while he searches for his bottles. It cost $ 5 to try 7 different wines and at the end you get to keep your wineglass which I thought was pretty cool. I tried a variety of 7 different white zinfandel wines and they were all fruity and delicious. Once I was done with the wine tasting I checked in on Unilocal and found that they offer a coupon for $ 10 off three bottles of wine and a discount on their wine sippy cups. My friend used my coupon and bought 3 bottles of wine along with the wine sippy cup for his girl friend. The staff was very nice but slow do to how busy they were that day. I noticed some people ordering a cheese plate that looked really tempting and was served with crackers, jams, two different cheeses and two chocolate bear truffles at the end. I bought two bears at the counter try em out if you have the chance they were delicious.
