Perfect for a quick pick up dinner on the way home. You call in an order(or place it online), pick up a prepped pizza, and then bake it yourself. There’s no dine-in option since, uh, they don’t cook on site. We do this more in the summer because we prefer to grill the pizzas. Everything we’ve had has been excellent, especially the sausage pizza on wheat crust.

I am deeply saddened by the nature of this message, as it is a result of many negative experiences with your company. Ever since Home Made Pizza Company has graced Deerpath Road in Lake Forest, IL, I have been very happy up until this past year. Unfortunately, I can not only state I am unhappy, but have even been made so unhappy I am actually one of those people who write into a company. This is mainly a result of the management at the Lake Forest location being unwilling, or at least unable to address my issue. I continue to be extremely satisfied with the food, but completing a transaction with the staff in Lake Forest makes my blood boil. Every time I place an order online and choose to have it paid for, my girlfriend stops in to pick up our food and is asked to pay. This evening, I chose to bypass your website, as I suspected it has been flawed, and placed the order over the phone providing my payment information, as well as instructing the young gentleman on the other end to run my card. Unfortunately, like every time I conduct a transaction with your company, my girlfriend was asked to present payment for the order. Please explain to me how this makes sense. I have called in to speak to the manager of the location, and he does not answer my questions, but sticks to the same line, «your card was charged». When asked why my girlfriend was asked to present payment, his only response is «your card was charged». I am sorry, but he quite frankly does not make me feel comfortable providing him with my financial data. At this point, until I can be reassured measures are being taken to address this matter; I can no longer patronize any of your locations. I would much rather have a just«ok» consumer experience at dominos, or many of the other pizzerias in the city even though I am most likely consuming carcinogen laced food.

At first I was like why would I buy a pizza I have to make at home… but then decided to try it because they have wheat dough. Let me tell you, its AMAZING. Very fresh, not frozen. Cooks easily and they have healthier options. I love it, just wish it were cheaper! Oh and it also closes early.. and idk it seems strange to me that uncooked pizza takes 30 minutes for pickup. But its probably because it’s all fresh.

When we moved from the city, I almost cried at the thought that we wouldn’t have a HomeMade Pizza Company near us. Surprise! They’re in Lake Forest! The world is good again! HomeMade Pizza Company offers the freshest, healthiest, tastiest pizza around. They make the pizzas you pop them into your own oven. So my husband can pick them up and we can choose when we cook them. Our favorite is the spinach pie(yes folks, that’s right, the spinach pie) with whole wheat crust. It comes with spinach, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes. Just thinking about it makes me want to go order one. But no matter what kind of pizza you order, get the whole wheat crust. You won’t feel like you’re eating«healthy» but will get the added benefits of the crust. The salads are great too. And no matter which salad we order, we always get the vinaigrette. I don’t know how they make it, but it’s our favorite. Why won’t they bottle that stuff? One note –skip the cookies — they’re not that great. They do carry ice cream as well. But if you really need an awesome treat, walk down three doors to Sweets, which will knock your sugar-loving socks off.

Great! On Mother’s Day we were walking by after we got out of church and thought it would be something cool and new to try. We tried the door and it was Locked! So bummed! But there was a woman inside and she ran to the door and opened for us! She said she would open for us — why not, she was there and completely able to make us pizza even though they weren’t opening for another hour! We knew it was Take n’ Bake and were going to take to my Grandma’s House. We got a large B.L.T.(hickory-smoked bacon, fresh spinach, aged Parmigiano-Reggiano and a bit of fresh garlic over a layer of our delicious tomato sauce) and a small Cutie(cheese) with Pesto Sauce. We also went with a Cobb salad, with the dressing and blue cheese on the side(I’m not a fan). We waited 10 minutes for it to be made and then another 10 minutes for it to bake once we got to my Grandparents. OMG! The pizza was awesome and the salad was super yummy! So worth waiting for! We are so going to go again! It was so great that she opened early for us!
