American Q

Pretty bad experiences all in all. From the 3 waiters that came over offering to tell us to do the buffet (which is way over priced at 18 $ pp), yet not wanting to take our order. To charging us for tea/​coffee which are included in the meal (see top of the menu), and yet not offering the juice that also comes with that meal.
Tables are covered in sap, and children running everywhere. Like a giant play pin at McDonalds.

The BBQ sauces are the best that I have had. Lots of flavor and many choices. I also really liked their burger this time. It was cooked perfect and lots of grill flavor. We ordered a tator app and there were only 5 tots in it! Thought this was a little small for a serving of tots. They were great to dip in the sauces though! The only reason it don’t give them 5 stars is the service. It seems to take a very long time every time we go. There is usually not a large crowd so it is hard to understand why it takes so long. This trip we sat up near the bar in the comfy chairs which was great ! The service here was a little better but still long. We like this place and the B hotel it is in so we will go back but we will just set our expectation to not be in a hurry.

An insult to bbq food everything is so bland from the hostess. Who, despite having reservations didn’t even ask and made us wait 15 mins even though there was plenty of open tables.
Wait staff didn’t visit or fill up drinks during the 2 hours it took to eat. Table side meats took forever to come around
Who ever is chef here has 0 experience cooking bbq or smoking everything is poorly cooked bland no flavour… unless you count heavy smoke as flavour.
We are used magical dining and it was very underwhelming not a great way to advertise the best Orlando has to offer and will definitely not be back which is a shame as the décor is really nice inside

We came for brunch. The flatbed had a basic breakfast buffet but we opted to order off the menu. We wanted to try the bbq so hubs got the bbq omelet and I got the brisket hash. The bbq was weak but worked well for breakfast somehow. The potatoes were really good. The menu was sparse. But overall good.

I waited a couple of days to write this review but I cant bring myself to recommend American Q to anyone. Service was glacial at best with our server forgetting drinks and as it appeared only one flatbed buffet server. That is the server or, as it should be servers, that bring the various meat offerings to your table on a large screwer and carve off hunks of your chosen meat. My overall impression was they were extremely under staffed and operating with new or poorly trained wait staff. Some of the meat offerings such as the flank steak were quite good but others missed the mark by a mile. The flatbed buffet had a nice variety of selections but most if not all seemed to have died a slow and painful death on the buffet table. Too bad. This place has potential but needs a lot of management attention to detai like cleaning and wiping the sauce bottles before placing on the next table. Speaking of BBQ sauce, of the four choices brought to the table only one had any thing close to what I would want to put on my food. All in in all a sad and disappointing meal was had by all.
