Came in for their Irish Nachos and they are no longer on the menu, a huge disappointment. On the upside though the waiter was happy to help and was able to have it made!!! Thanks!

We went there for my birthday breakfast! Food was good, we had the«Cinnamon French Toast combo, Egg Benedict and Delux Corned Beef Hash & Eggs» however I was surprised their shakes were runny!!! Our waiter was amazing… he loves his job and the interactions with customers. Overall a good experience

Cristano L your service is very poor. My salad had no dressing and my drink was full of ice. You’ve only been to our table once and I had to check out in the front counter. Here is your tip: I get better service at a fast food restaurant where I can refill my own drink

This place is new to me. It’s different from the one that’s in my hometown in Oceanside. It was nice to be served right away. We even got our drinks without waiting too long. Perhaps it was because it was still breakfast and not quite lunch yet. After all, once lunch sets in, a million people starts to come in. I had ordered what was like an eggs benedict(for some reason I’ve had cravings for it for months on end). I was a bit excited to see how they make theirs. Once it arrived to our table, I was a bit disappointed. All the fruits were on the plate right next to the eggs benedict. The sauce was all over and collided with the fruits. The fruits tasted awkward because of the mix with the sauce. The english muffin that the eggs sit on practically dissolved and barely noticed it. There were so much avocado on it, too. I like avocado but it was a bit extreme. My fiancée ordered some beignets but it felt like eating fried up pastry sheets. Probably try other food items next time.

Awesome service, huge milkshake, free french fries refill to your burger. I came here with my friends, all of us 100% satisfied — burgers are really good. Highly recommend!

Shocked this crap hole is still open 1) since the day they opened there is a terrific sewer/mold smell that smacks you in the face when you walk in. 2) the tired, garish, décor is only made worse the operating room level of florescent lighting that blinds all who make it past the smell that hits you at the front door. 3) the stupid airplane theme(why?) models have never worked properly. 4) the bathrooms are even more smelly than the main dining room 5) ice water served here smells worse than the bathrooms. Food is usually fine. Nothing remarkable. Have never had the slightest issue with service here. The wait staff and management seem to muster some pride despite the challenges and generally do a great job on deplorable conditions.

I came here with my very busy 18 month old after going bananas at «We Play Now» nearby. The wait staff on Sunday night couldn’t have been more accommodating. From the moment I walked in the Receptionist, waiters, and food delivery guy were looking out for us. This place gets it for those with squirmy youngsters. PS — the food was yummy as well:-)

I don’t usually eat breakfast but I was in the area just looking to get a quick cup of coffee and decided to stop in. Once I walked in, I had to at least check out the menu. I’m glad I did. After a few suggestions from the server, I ordered the corn beef hash breakfast plate and it was delicious. The gentleman, Sergio, was really on top of things. He always had a smile on his face and was very attentive. Overall great experience.

My wife and I come here quite a bit, and are never disappointed. The food is consistently really good. The wait staff are always friendly and helpful. Today I got the pancake breakfast with eggs and bacon, and my wife got the veggie omelette. All the food was cooked perfect and the portions were perfect size as well. I have never had a bad experience at this location. There is always parking and plenty of seating. Even if they’re busy and you do have to wait, it’s never for long. The booths are always clean and the bathrooms are always clean as well. What can I say, this is simply just a great location to visit!

We were really disappointed at this location. Flies constantly around and this location has a specific smell to it. Not fresh I must say. My burger came out rare when asked for medium well. The waitress was very nice and even mentioned how rare it was when she brought it to the table. My thought is, if you knew we wanted it a certain way why bring it to the table to see if I would eat it? Again waitress was very nice and helped fix the mistake. It isn’t her fault overall. My hubby was done eating before they even brought my food to the table. 35 dollars for 2 burgers and 2 shakes. Not worth it and will not be returning.

Got the best service from our waiter. Meal was cooked and prepared exactly as we specified. It was delicious & we even tried the butterfinger shake that was recommended! Amazing! All in all they got 5 starts, they can’t help the price(kinda pricey) but we’ll worth it for a good restaurant and good well cooked food!

Came during the $ 1.93 anniversary promo and it was packed! But the line moved relatively quickly. The waitstaff wasn’t the most attentive to us but they were good about greeting us and saying goodbye. The food preparation was OK. My wife really liked the way they cooked the patties slightly medium/medium rare) and I agreed — very juicy patties. But the top bun on mine looked completely crushed… I’m sure they were so busy pushing burgers out that they didn’t pay much attention to detail. Anyway, if I’m ever craving Rubys, I’d probably come back to this particular location.

Always great at Rubys! Friendly service, great staff, wonderful food. I prefer breakfast and recommend the butcher block omelet with ham. The ruby spuds are the best.

I was craving a Ruby’s veggie burger, after a week battling a cold. Dear husband brought it to me, along with sweet potato fries. So sad. The burger was totally soggy, from the bun, to the patty, to the lettuce and tomato. They forgot the onion. The sweet potatoes fries were a soggy, congealed. mess. I was looking forward to my old favorite; a nice toasted bun, crisp lettuce, tomato and onion. and crisp sweet potato fries. it was not to be. ;((Won’t try THAT again.

Wow, Nick is awesome! Such a friendly, outgoing personality, and you can tell he really loves his job. So much enthusiasm, and a great conversationalist. He wasn’t our server(he was something like a runner), but wow — I wish he was my server!(He would have been going home with a fat tip, that’s for sure.) As for the Ruby’s experience overall, my actual server was pretty bad(he took our order, and I saw him one other time when I had to flag him down for more water.) Otherwise, absent. This location is a small Ruby’s, so do bear that in mind when you visit. On a weekday at lunchtime, there was approximately a 10 minute wait. Lots of folks from Leisure World come here, so it’s easy to feel young(absolutely nothing wrong with that — just a comment). I order the same thing, usually(mushroom swiss burger, no RubySauce on the parmesan sourdough) with onion rings. Over time, I’ve decided I like my onion rings crispier, but the burger was phenomenal like always. Strawberry shakes are good, too! Hint: There is a gumball machine at the front(25 cents), and if you get a red one, you get a free rootbeer float!

Shooby dooby down to Ruby’s… so the jingle goes… but yeah I think I would rather pass. I remember when I was a kid and this chain was the shiznit and then something to the 8 bizillionth degree… well no more… It seriously sucks growing up into a discerning adult. However my parents still live on their nostalgia and while my daughter finds it fun, i find I would rather have bamboo shoved up under my fingernails maybe… It does seem tortuous every time I have been here. This however is the airplane location. So its fun to see a bunch of WWII models flying around the ceiling. They have a bunch of kid oriented things for those with munchkins. This is after all a «family» diner style joint. Anticipate the cracking red vinyl seats with your waitress Flo serving up a burger, fries, and a shake. Definitely a chain with a niche, especially for this location located right next door to leisureworld. Pro Tip: Get gift cards at Costco on your way and you can save 20% off the top. The burgers are pretty average and dont stand out. The shakes are typical and still made in a silver canister as would be expected from a traditional style diner. The fries and onion rings dont stand out as memorable at all. My daughter happens to love the kids menu. Both the food and the menu itself… It has a bunch of punchouts usually to make a car or a town and thus she has something entertaining other than electronics or the usual crayon and random puzzles placemat that most joints have. Overall its an average joint. I just prefer not to go pay for average if I can avoid it. This to me is the epitome of that. I would much rather go to a number of places than this. So go if you must or this is your thing, but I would rather go to other places if I had my druthers…

The theme of this Ruby’s is airplanes and they have a very cool ceiling track that runs the full length of the restaurant which allows a dozen large model airplanes to fly overhead. I felt like a little kid watching the planes circle above me. I stopped for a quick bite to eat and sat at the counter. Service was a bit… odd. I had two different servers walk past me and tell me they’d be back to help me in a minute but after several minutes the manager came by and asked if I’d ordered yet. When I told him ‘no” he took my order. He also came by at the end of my meal to ask if anyone had brought me a bill. Again, after answering«no», he handled it. A cheeseburger and coffee shake was my order. As always, Ruby’s makes an above average burger that I enjoyed. The coffee shake was very thick and, when you factor in that they give you the mixing tin as well as what’s in the glass, it’s more like 2 milkshakes. I enjoyed the shake although it had a light coffee taste(I prefer it stronger). Right when I was about to leave an obviously disgruntled & frowning waitress started mouthing off to the manager about scheduling. To his credit the manager immediately pointed to the back room and ushered her there; employees should absolutely not be loudly vocalizing personal complaints in front of customers! Very poor form. 3.5 stars for this Ruby’s.

I love Ruby’s. This is probably my second favorite location. It’s located at the Laguna Hills mall which makes me like it a little less than the stand-alone locations. It tends to get pretty busy(especially on the weekends), although the wait time is never long. It’s really long and kinda narrow as opposed to some of the other locations I’ve been too. It’s also a little run down and seems older, with booths that slightly sink in when you sit on them and old skool airplanes«flying» around the entire restaurant on the ceiling. The service and the food are what I love about the location. The waiters I have had have been great. Helpful and never get my order wrong, but also not overly annoying or attentive. The food is also fantastic. Right now(November), they have a bunch of holiday items such as pumpkin, strawberry, and mint brownie milkshakes, and a Thanksgiving-themed burger consisting of a turkey burger, cranberry sauce and brie cheese! I had this particular burger and it was surprisingly very good! Overall I recommend this restaurant! 4 stars.
