I really love Top Foods. They have amazing produce that is extremely varied and fresh. They have lots of «international» foods. They have a huge selection of healthy foods, including gluten free items. There are lots of local items hidden in among the rest(their Jersey cream in the glass bottle is devine!). They have a bulk organice herb and spices section, hidden beyond the regular spices. I adore good food, and have a lot of food allergies — quality is extremely important to me! They are pricey, its true, but if you shop smart and buy a lot when they have deals its reasonable.

Top Food and Drug could really be better as a store if they dropped the prices just a bit and had a little bit more of a selection in the basics. I do like that they have a big salad bar and sushi and some nice items like paninis at the deli, so there are a lot of options for lunch on the go. Regular grocery shopping though… I wouldn’t fill my cart here. I only stop in for less than 5 items. Now, they do have a nice organic/alternative foods selection in dry and frozen foods and the produce section always looks pristine, but it’s always so quiet and never busy in there. They usually only have one cashier. I’ve never seen more than 6 people working or shopping there. I did get a pretzel from the deli one time and it was THEDRIEST pretzel I ever had. It crumbled away in my hands as I broke pieces off and I nearly choked to death because it dried up all the saliva in my mouth. Terrible! Sushi’s good though. Even a place to plug in your electric car in the parking lot.

I went to this place for the first time about a week ago and was extremely impressed with the huge selection of wine, beer, coffee, and candy. I could really care less about the prices because I won’t do normal grocery shopping here but only come for great selection they have of what I already mentioned. I’ll definitely come back when it’s time for more wine and coffee. If you happen to be seeing a movie at the Regal Cinema in the same shopping center I highly recommend coming here first and getting some candy before going in. Don’t shop here to save money. Shop here for a great selection of the stuff you really like(coffee, beer, wine, candy) or at least stuff I like. I tried their Pine & Post merlot and I’ll definitely be buying another bottle of that.

Well, the prices are not good but the best meat department hands down. Lots of organic choices. Floorplan layout is bizarre and not efficient. Great deli with cheesecurds!

Important lesson learned #2 today: Top Foods Pop Rocks are 99 cents — just like at Safeway, they carry both the strawberry and watermelon flavors, and the strawberry kind was nearly sold out with about a weeks wait before they received any more. Watermelon had a healthy stock. Otherwise, a typical Top Foods with kind of pricey food but a better deli than most.

Decent selection, although not as good as the Lacey Fred Meyer or the Oly Top Food. Very good beer selection, although not much turnover so check the expiration date! Checkout lines used to be really slow, but now they have self checkout too. The reason it gets only 2 stars is the prices are so dang high! I mean name brand frozen OJ is 1.39 at Freddy’s and 2.39 here for the exact same thing. If you buy their generics the prices are about on par with other grocers’, but the name brand stuff is consistently higher here.

After a few less than favorable experiences at another Top Food location, I figured I had sworn off the place. Even the mention of the name gave me the shivers because it got me thinking about how every time we ever went there was only one register open with only one snotty employee and one very long line. Thankfully, this location is not so bad. They have multiple registers open and they even have some self service lines. It’s an okay grocery store and sometimes they have some really good deals. The main thing I don’t like about this store is that it’s set up all weird where some aisles go up and down and the others go across, like perpendicular. It just makes it really hard to navigate the store and find what you need in a short amount of time. Otherwise, not a bad grocery store and it has a rather large and diverse section of stuff.
