Nice atmosphere and my noodle was excellent. I appreciate it was not too salty. Just right!

The best phở in Olympia/Lacey area that I have tasted up to date. I feel like I have the right to say that considering I’m a phở tasting traveler. Owe yeah meat portion is above normal

Great Phở! My first time here. Ordered small but gave me a lot of noodle. AND reasonable price of $ 7.95. I like this place better than Phở Hoa nearby this restaurant.

One time I ate a 10 dollar bill. It was disgusting. Then I spent 10 dollars on phở from Phở Vy and ate that. I will never go back to eating cash again. I always receive prompt and courteous service, the quality of food is far greater than what I pay for, and puppies are adorable. These are universal truths. If you disagree, you may be a monster in people clothes. Phở Vy is Phở-nomenal. 27.8 stars.

OK, 5 stars for Olympia area. Yes, hole in the wall, and no frills. BUT — the best vegetarian phở we have had anywhere. Lots of vegetables, tasty fried tofu, nice wedges of baby bok choy. The lone waitress is a doll. Parking is tricky — the place is peaceful and quiet(I sort of wish they got more business). Long hours. I also like the fried shrimp in eggroll wrapper. Inexpensive, comfortable. No liquor license.

Visiting the area to celebrate New Years, and not familiar with the area as well. Came here 3 nights ago. I was craving some good phở especially in this cold weather. I Unilocaled and Unilocaled trying to find one close by from where I’m staying, a lot of places close earlier than what I’m used to. Great fully this was still open. Restaraunt was empty besides me and the misses and another couple. I order my usual phở, the combination dac-biet. With a couple spring rolls. The broth was good. Portion of the meat wasn’t generous. It was good enough where I ordered another one to go. Service is your typical Asian mom and pops service, not being racist, I am Asian myself. But the food is good and price is decent, I would come back if I lived here. Thanks for warming me up in this cold weather!

Excellent phở and broth. The waitress is the only one working and surprisingly the service is still excellent really great home style phở. When you can’t find me I’m probably here

To clarify — this is a 4 out of 5 for Olympia — which is great! There isn’t 5 star phở in Oly that I’ve found. This awkwardly located restaurant with even more awkward parking is our go-to phở for the Oly-Lacey-Tumwater area. The service is so friendly and food to table timing speedy. And the place is spacious so I can dish with my friends without feeling cramped or overheard. The sprouts and basil fresh and the toppings generous. Great selection of vegetarian options too! Thanks Phở Vy!

It looks a hole-in-the-wall, outside and I’m, but don’t all the best places to eat? I ordered the large Special Beef Phở, basically with every beef-ish cut you can stuff in there, and a Thai Tea, because why not. First off, the host will ask if you would like large or small: say small. While I ordered large, my girlfriend went with the small and when they arrived it was immediately apparent that the small has the same amount of food, just stuffed in a smaller bowl. My noodles were perfect, the beef delicious, everything cooked to satisfaction. Our waitress was very attentive, making sure everything was filled up at all times. My Thai tea was fine as well, although a little sweet. Thai tea is supposed to be sweet, sure, but fans will know what I mean. All in all the place was empty, and that’s a shame. It should be packed.

I will preface this, by saying I don’t eat beef, so I have not had their regular phở. However, their phở gai(chicken noodle soup) is the best I’ve had here in the area(tried at least 10 other Vietnamese/Phở shops in south sound region). The waitress is sweet and nice, but doesn’t talk very much. Always clean and fast. Prices are great. Parking is difficult at times, but worth it.

One of the most authentic tasting phở I’ve ever had. I usually only go to one phở place but decided to change and try somewhere different. Definitely overly pleased with the service and the delicious chicken phở I had.

Good place to grab a quick bite for lunch. We were actually the only people in the restaurant for lunch. Seems like more people opt to call their order in and take it to go. Their service was fast and friendly — there was only one lady working front of the house and she placed water on our table, took our orders and brought out the food all herself. Not necessarily the friendliest and didn’t really say much, but then again, she didn’t have to. We ordered their spring rolls, which is interestingly called summer rolls here on the east coast. They were good, but i wish that their rice paper wrappers didn’t stick to each other as much. It doesn’t really take me that much time to separate two rolls. We each opted for the same bowl of phở(the #1), despite the hot weather outside. Broth was decent, not necessarily the most flavorful. I squirted the regular amount of hoisin sauce that i typically use(two turns of the bowl while counting to six — quite the scientific method, right? ;)) and found myself needing to add more along with more hot sauce, which i dont typically do. Their bowl was also surprisingly small for the price they charged. Still, we were fat and happy after our meal. Nothing necessarily stood out as awesome, but nothing made us run out the door either. A good option for phở in Lacey, but we’ll likely keep looking around for the«go-to» spot before coming back to Phở Vy.

I think they store their chicken at the bottom of a mop bucket inside of a dark closet. It is not authentic. The stock has no depth in flavor. I have accepted bad service and low expectations in Thurston County, but this was completely unreasonable. That was just icing on the cake. Take your money to Saigon 8 which is about two blocks away from this place. I’d like to note that when I got home I decided to do a little investigating on their ratings via health inspection. Feast your eyes. «PHOVY 909 Sleater-Kinney Road, Lacey March 10: Routine check(25 red; 5 blue) Comments: Red — Broth observed with fat layer in tact in five-gallon buckets for cooling. Highly recommended by a local otherwise I wouldn’t have come here. The restaurant is unassuming in a small strip mall. You could easily walk right by this spot and not know it was here. The phở was highly recommended so of course we ordered it along with some goi cuon. The broth was clear and tasty without an overwhelming taste of MSG, thank you for that! The phở noodles were just the right amount of chewy so it didn’t fall apart in your mouth, just the right texture to make it tasty. Lastly, the coffee was perfectly tasting, in my opinion, as it had just the right amount of bitter. The staff serves it to you in a drip cup so you can choose how much of the condensed milk you want to mix into the coffee, which is nice. Overall, enjoyable phở so don’t let the dark décor and emptiness of the restaurant turn you away from some good food.

Beef stewed noodle doesn’t taste or look like beef stewed. I am Vietnamese and i have been eating Vietnamese food for my whole life yet. Looking at that noodle made me question whether or not this really is a vietnamese noodle place. I find it a bit disappointing. The seafood crispy noodle tasted ok. My friend rated ok but disagree. I have tasted better ones at other restaurant with the same quality and prices. Just saying. Asides from the food, the customer service was nice and friendly. When I came in, there wasn’t anybody there.

I have tried a few Phở places in town and have met been overly impresses. Dropped in here after reading a review elsewhere and was not disappointed. They have the best phở. Give them a try.

We came here for dinner because we were in the area. Had we listened to the reviews, we would’ve drove up to Tacoma and gone to our usual phở place. Oh well… another one on our list to not come back. Phở was bland. Broth wasn’t very good. I ordered a rice dish with grilled meat. Before the food came out, I heard beeping in the kitchen. When the food came out, I instantly knew this was reheated and placed on the plate. The egg/meat cake thing that came with the rice(which was also hard and not fresh), was chewy. The meat was seasoned nicely, but everything else ruined it. Service was typical and I didn’t expect anything more out of it, considering this was just like any asian restaurant out there. Save your money and look elsewhere.

I’ve been coming here since 2005 – 2006 and although the quality of their phở has diminished slightly is has become a staple on my dinner out list. They have recently redone their menus and they are easier to read with less spelling errors. The service is friendly but its also because they know me as a regular. I’m a vegan and they do have a vegan phở if you do tofu and ask for veggie broth. There used to be only one choice for vegans on the menu but the new menu now has a tufu phở and a veggie phở. They also just added Vietnamese sandwiches to their menu and have a tofu option. They have now won a higher rating with me. They don’t really have a dessert menu but they are next door to the Mexican store and Heavenly donuts so you can always either get pan dulce or a donut for dessert afterwards.

My rating remains unchanged but I just wanted to add since I added it as a tip within the Unilocal app that I noticed the last time I was in that they have bubble tea. One of the reasons why I kind of avoided Phở Vy was that I thought they didn’t have bubble tea. It’s not on their menu and isn’t really advertised on the door and the waitress/hostess has never mentioned it. She’s pretty quiet anyway and seems as though she doesn’t want to disturb the chi of the super quiet conversational air of Phở Vy as there is hardly never anyone in this restaurant every time I go in. I attribute that to it’s location. Even though it’s on Sleater Kinney Rd, it’s kind of hidden next to the Mexican grocer and the donut shop with no clear signage that just screams, «Phở.Getcha phở ova heeere!» I guess that’s one of the reasons I’m glad Unilocal is around, as you’re able to just search for phở in Lacey. The place is still small and quiet which I kind of like actually because I can eat my hot bowl of phở in peace with out listening to a bunch of kids whine or groups of people talking all loud and disturbing my cool, calm, and collected journey to relaxation after a long day at work. Nothin’ like a hot bowl of phở after getting off work. I also like that the small at Phở Vy is just the right size. Other places say small on the menu and then you get like a friggin’ gallon of phở soup and can’t finish it all… or at least I sometimes have trouble finishing a phở bowl. Although phở is always a cheap meal, I don’t like ordering a small and then the bowl comes and it’s so huge you’re like«What the fudge am I supposed to do with this?» Also, the tofu is much better and there are more vegetables in the soup. They also have chicken broth now. The last time I reviewed this place, all they had was beef broth which adds a different flavor that I wasn’t really feelin’. I kind of rotate on eating phở at all the phở restaurants in Lacey and I will say that Phở Vy is moving up my list, but Phở Saigon and Phở Mania are still pretty high up there.
