This was probably a nice place… in 1975. In 2015, it’s a very tired venue. I felt like I was visiting a dive bar theme park. For the total experience, drop by Friday evening for Kareoke night. You’ll enjoy the scruffy drunks who think they’re the reincarnated Jim Morrison, and the pudgy aging disco queens, who despite time and gravity are still shake, shake shaking their now lard rippled booty. The band is not bad. The bar tenderess is very friendly and upbeat. The liquid refreshment is cheap. However the main attraction is the kitschy atmosphere and collection of SNL bar fly caricatures that comprise the regulars. Go with a group of friends, get loaded, laugh your ass off, and enjoy an affordable night’s fun that will keep you chuckling to yourself for a long time to come.

Heavy handed maidens pouring the elixirs of the god to humble patrons seeking the wisdom of the bottom of a glass to be free from the duldrums of the modern world of typing Unilocal reviews and trolling on facebook. Its a great dive bar to bring friends to meet interesting people and have a great time listening to music and engaging in conversation.

When you’re here early on a Saturday/Sunday morning it feels like you are still in a dream state of mind. With the Koi fish in the patio begging for your attention and the Jukebox playing Journey. Started coming here in late 2009 with a «friend» that would drag me out of bed at 8am. Drinks are cheap, they have a couple of pool tables, Scatchers galore, darts, bathrooms were decent. But what we really came for was the breakfast, Homeboy hooks it up in the patio. You get a sheet of paper with the items available and you just circle what you want, pay the bartender inside and take the sheet over to the Cook. People do smoke back there and the cigarette smell can be a bit much. So my favorite hands down is their chicken fried steak! It also comes with eggs, toast and cottage potatoes which are also pretty damn good. The portion size is really big and I find it best to split it with a friend. They also have omelets, biscuits & gravy, and steak n’eggs but I usually stick with the Chicken Fried Steak. Since it is a bar it’s not for kids and there can be some rowdy folks even that early in the morning. This place is not for Foo-Foo types, if you can’t run with the big Perros, stay on the porch. =)

The food here is beyond terrible. Day old Chinese food from Panda Express is way better than this place.

This review is specifically for the restaurant. It has a great kitschy exterior with an eclectic interior to match. The portions are very generous and if you order one of their set menus you get a ton of food including egg drop soup, egg roll, cream cheese wontons, beef skewers, etc. We liked all the starters and were full by the time our entrees came out. Honestly, I’m glad we were because the entrees left something to be desired. The service was good and everyone was very friendly.

This is one of those places you go when your poor and want to get drunk. Chill place to hang out with friends or have fun on karaōke night.

I used to go to this place(the bar, not the restaurant) when I was in college. Fast forward many years, my friend now lives down the street and Wong’s hasn’t changed. They’re still the neighborhood place to go for cheap drinks. I was here a couple of nights ago on a random visit with friends. A band was doing covers, but they still had their own sounds and people were dancing. The two bartenders were friendly, and there was no cover charge! You could tell who the regulars were, but they weren’t really giving off a vibe that outsiders weren’t welcome. I’d recommend this place when you’re with a big group and looking to get loaded. Cheers.

Fun enough place. Went on a friday night at 6 pm. Stood at the bar for about 8 minutes. NOSERVICE. Walked back to the door and bought some scratchers. The lady smoking outside says to me «Your bartender will be inside in a minute», as a car is backing up into a parking space. The lady smoking yells something like«Your bank is on the shelf behind the counter» and mumbles something about being late. She leaves and gets in her car. Ok, whatever deal you have with the other bartender for being late SHOULDNOT supersede your job in customer service. Put your cigarette down and come back to serve the customer. It was roughly 6:09 at this point. Of course, the bartender that scurries in late is flustered and stressed so my first beer was in my hand 16 minutes after I stood at the bar. Normally this would be a one star review but I won $ 20 on my scratcher

I love Wong’s! Steak & eggs on Sunday mornings until noon. Pork chops, you-call-it omelettes or chicken fried steak on Saturdays. Bloody Marys on point, I like mine with clamato. It’s also super laid back and has a little patio area with a koi pond(so you can smoke your cigarette and have your drink duh). Try a Wongs Special for something strong, though they usually overpour here anyway. $ 1 jello shots yay. You can also order food from the restaurant at the bar(a cautionary exercise since the menu is hit and miss unless you know what you’re doing) —Try Wong’s special noodles, or salt and pepper wings. The pu pu platter always satisfies drunk munchies. Plus, if you get bored or kicked out(unlikely), you can stumble across the street and check out what’s going on at Mr. G’s.

This is the diviest of all the dive bars in that it’s an actual dive bar, not a half-ass attempt of a bar to be divey for the sake of being cool. Cheap drinks and scary patrons are the heart of the dive, not hipsters stacked to the rafters drinking PBR tall boys. This is the type of place you use an alias in, just remember your new super secret name when they call you for your turn at karaōke.

Cheap, fun, drunkin’ times. Everytime my friends and I try to figure out where to go and we just can’t decide we end up here. haha Pitchers are only like 7 bucks and nice stiff drinks are as low as 3 bucks! It isn’t the most attractive looking place but it’s still a great time. Don’t expect anything over the top! They have darts, foozie, juke box, two pool tables, a small patio that has a fountain with koi. The bartenders(especially Sunny!) are very very awesome. I would say the people there tend to be locals and the crowd varies from large to small. So if you want something low key but want to get your drink on(for cheap!) check this place out.
