Nice bar very cool. this is a great place. jeff the bartender is the man!

A friend and I stopped in for drinks after a very brief walk. We found seats at the bar, and though we weren’t planning on drinking, just watching the bartenders work were convinced to try the Bloody Mary and Minty Fresh. Both were tasty, went down easy, and were clearly pretty strong.

Nice place for karaōke. The bartenders are very welcoming so I will for sure be back.

This place feels like a home more than a bar~ remember Cheers… where «everyone knows your name», that is this place. A rendezvous point for friends and an environment for strangers to become friends. Innovative drink concoctions that will have your taste buds saying, «WHOOOOO!!!» and if you fancy wine… their selection would appease a wine snob. There are also pool tables for entertainment~ oh! and how could I forget to mention the karaōke!!! I haven’t mustered up the courage myself to sing a song, however; really enjoyed watching others do so. The bartenders are all super friendly and will do whatever they can to give you exactly what you want. Oh! also there’s a jukebox and for a small fee, you can hear whatever you like. The owner visits frequently and says hello to everyone on a first name basis, which is rare these days. I really, really enjoyed being here. This place has a certain energy that is welcoming and I hope you’ll go and experience it for yourself.

Well I’ve been to Chico club a few times in the pass. Every time the bartender was always very much into her own friends. NOT A GOOD IMPRESSION!!! So fast forward to last week big game change. I felt very welcome this time, CAME back the next day and a man named Jeff was working, all I can say about him“classic”. Wish there were more like him.

I used to frequent this establishment to visit the awesome bartender Sheryl. always outgoing.makes the best drinks. and even tho
not live in the area or near by. She always made it worth the trip. Unfortunately they let their best bartender go for no reason or notice. I will continue to follow her to her next spot.

It is sad to say I used to really enjoy coming to visit this establishment until one day, when the best bartender was let go for NO APPARENT REASON! After 2 years of serivicing this establishment and bringing in all her followers and exceeding all sales by hosting several parties!
Her name is Sheryl and I have followed her for the past 15 yrs! She is one of the best mixoligists that I have ever known! Sheryl is always creating the best cocktails to go with every Holiday or Party/​Event! She knows how to keep the cllientele happy and always coming back for more! She is very personnalble and entertaining!
As far as the owner of the owner Larry Fox… he is the lowest of the lowest bar owners I have ever met! How did I meet him? He friended me on facebook and proceeded to IM me and tell me how much he liked me! Along with several of Sheryls friends! No owner of any establishment has done this to his employees friends on FB!
Larry is that kind of guy that will come across as kind and giving! He is that person that will build you up to the highest peak speak very highly of you and then when your back is turned… He will kick you off the top and watch you fall! Then he procedes to deny your rights to unemployment by speaking NOTHING but LIES! He is simply a PATHETIC LOSER!
NEVER…NEVER WILL I EVER STEP FOOT IN THE CHICO CLUB EVER AGAIN!
KARAOKE …It’s a damn JOKE! It is so LOUD you cannot even think! The Speakers NEVER work right… shorting out and crackling all the time! The same goes for the Mic that they claim are new! HA they don’t ever work… nothing but static noise!

The owner is a piece of shit! Larry Fox is a scum bag. He fired the best bartender he had, Sheryl, for some dumb former bartender that used to work there. Don’t go there! I know I’ll never go back!

Cool little dive. I see a lot karaōke here (but the fun stuff).
Heidi is the best, she’s one of the most down to earth bar maids I’ve ever meet. Just whatv you what at a dive.

Total shit show! Karaōke is crap! The speakers crackle and the song choice is not that great. On the website they brag that they have new microphones and great speakers. But trust me… they absolutely do not. If you are a karaōke regular like me, don’t bother with this place.

I like the feel of this bar. It’s very tiki, bamboo, beach sort of place. The only bartenders I’ll stay for is Heidi or Jeff. Fast, very friendly, funny and they treat EVERYONE with respect. Not that the others are bad but they tend to hang with the regulars and lag with people they don’t know. The. Owner (I heard is a pretty new owner) is very engaging with his customers. Go in and judge for yourself… And don’t forget to take a pic with the captain… You’ll see what I’m talking about.

Easy breezy local neighborhood bar owned by a real life Santa Claus!
People are always nice. There are a couple of pool tables, life music often.
A definite ‘dive bar’ however, it’s NOT dirty by any means.

Crowd consisting of mostly people in their 40’s and 50’s… you know the kind that wish you could still smoke in bars?
Speaking of smoking, I wish the bartender had noticed my empty beer before stepping outside to light up. Not cool, that she didn’t wash her hands upon coming back in to fill me up. I’m not the biggest fan of tobacco infused saliva.

We absolutely love the Chico Club. Every time we go there we have a blast. The drinks are reasonably priced and good pours. Everyone is very friendly; from the bartenders to the customers. They keep the bathrooms really clean too. We’ve gone when there was a band and when there’s karaōke. We always have a good time! Nice neighborhood bar. Highly recommend! They also have 2 pool tables if you like to play!

WOW… NEVER again!!! Dive bar for sure, unfriendly regulars. No music whatsoever.
No party atmosphere, everyone looks like it’s the worst night for them. The only reason for the single star is that the bartender gave us a strong Long Island Ice Tea… will not return!

The bar is a nice place to have a drink depending on the bartender. Sunday’s used to be a great place to watch football and drink beer. The bar hired a new bartender for the morning shift she is horrible and rude. I stopped watching games at Chico’s because this bartender works there.

Lots of friendly regulars, awesome bar staff… really awesome dive.
I hear they also have really high quality wine tasting events on occasion, the regulars couldn’t stop saying how impressed they were.

Great music on the weekend. Only dive bar on el cajon blvd that has a good DJ who plays old school. Emilee is a great bartender really gets to know her drinkers lol. Ann Marie fun personality. Great spot!
