This deli is the real deal. Hand crafted excellent ingredients put together well. The side pasta is delicious. The clientele appear to be working stiffs who appreciate a good sandwich.

I went here on the recommendation of a friend, and I was less than impressed. Despite being in inland La Mesa, they have no air conditioning. They had about four tables inside and another two outside. They have a single unisex restroom, which is outside around the corner of the building. As for the food, I wasn’t impressed with what I ordered. In fact, I might even prefer Subway to the sandwich I had. Go here if you’re curious. Otherwise, look at the next result on your search list. Don’t let me be the one to say«I told you so.»

The portions were huge, the sandwiches were delicious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Even our picky kids loved their sandwiches! Added bonus: we came in on a day where they gave you a free side of pasta salad, fountain drink, and a cookie with the purchase of a sandwich. Highly recommend this shop and plan to come back!

Went there today with my nephew and I ordered the special which was a mesquite turkey sandwich on grilled sourdough. Well they were out of the mesquite turkey so I opted for the peppercorn turkey. The sandwich came with a side of pasta salad and a cookie. The reason for only two stars: 1.) The«peppercorn» turkey tasted like nothing, let alone«peppercorn». 2.) The avocado and cheese overpowered the tasteless turkey. 3.) Too much dressing on the pasta salad. 4.) The special came with a cookie. No cookie. My nephew ordered the club sandwich and looked nothing like a club. If ur gonna advertise a «club» sandwich then make me a club sandwich. I would not go back. Deli’s are a dime a dozen and I’d rather go to Jersey Mike’s. Sorry Trolley Stop. I can make a better sandwich at home. Best of luck to ya.

We have a project just two minutes from this little gem or I never would have heard of it. They have great fresh sandwiches, my favorite is the Californian turkey, avocado sandwich on smooth sourdough bread. Their sandwiches come with the BEST pasta salad I’ve ever had, a must have!

If you are used to Subway, this will definitely be a step up and 5 stars for you. However, if you have eaten in a real deli this will be a disappointment. This is your typical business park Deli. I knew I was in trouble as soon as I saw that the meat portion was thinner than the slice of tomato– that’s right, singular, ONE slice of tomato. The ingredients were fresh, but the portions were way too small.

Sandwiches are so scrumptious. Lunch time it’s so busy but worth the wait. Pasta side is always yummy. Be back soon…

I was craving a sandwich and Unilocaled up nearby delis and found this place. I must’ve passed by here hundreds of times over the years and never noticed it before; I almost did again today until I saw a sign on the opposite corner pointing in the correct direction. Luckily no one was behind me so I was able to turn in time. It’s a small deli in an industrial/commercial area. It’s located across the street from A-1 Self Storage. There’s plenty of parking. There are a few tables inside to eat and two shaded tables outside. It’s clean and well organized. They have another location as well and both take orders by fax for pick up. The menu here is good. They have breakfast wraps, croissant and bagel sandwiches, lunch wraps, sandwiches, soups, salads, lots of drinks options, and cookies! There’s even a daily turkey special. All sandwiches are served with your choice of their fantastic pasta salad or a boring old bag of chips. I came here to try the pasta salad after reading fellow Unilocalers reviews. It’s really delicious. Al dente rotelle pasta with veggies that’s topped with caesar dressing and shredded Parmesan cheese, so good. I’d come back again and again just for that. My sandwich was perfectly assembled. I ordered the Trolley Torpedo. It had the right amount of everything and toppings were spread out just right, not thrown together like a lot of other places. They didn’t skimp on the pepperoncinis either. Service was good. It was a little busy when I was there, but they seemed to do a good job of handling things quickly.

Review is about The Trolley Stop #2 Fantastic. Think of East County meets NY Deli Sandwich Shop. Tried the tuna on squaw bread with pasta salad… Battah– Bing! Can’t wait to try some of the many other sandwich choices. Fast service. Friendly cashier. Plenty of parking. The Doctor(Notorious MD) says fahgetaboutit… You gotta try this place!

Not bad for a place that I didn’t even know existed until recently. What do they do here? Sandwiches. Anything else? Yes, soups, salads, wraps and they even have cookies. Are they pretty good? Yes. Are the people that work there nice? Yes. So with the basic questions out of the way, it’s worth noting that this place has some pretty good sandwiches and makes for a worthy deli. Like most delis located in business areas, they seem to only be open weekdays until about 3:00. I snagged a «Californian» sandwich with a side of pasta salad. The sandwich was good and the pasta salad was great. The sandwich was of decent size, the bread was soft, there was a fairly generous amount of meat and as weird as it sounds, it was nicely made and didn’t appear to just be thrown together. The pasta salad was pretty rich, creamy and surprisingly delicious. So this little deli is a nice stop while in a pinch and you want a quick lunch when you’re in the area. At roughly $ 8.45 plus change for a sandwich, I can’t say that’s a killer deal so I wouldn’t hit it up regularly because that seems a bit steep for a sandwich. The occasional visit will probably suffice though considering it makes for a great lunch spot for the industrial/commercial center in which it is located. They also have indoor and outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade outdoors. Additionally, they have several sandwich options, salads, wraps etc., and the staff is friendly as well. They are one of the better delis/sandwich shops in the general area. For a deli, these folks do all right.

This place is one of my favorites for a quick Lunch Break! The sandwiches are delicious! Fresh meats and fresh veggies plus fresh bread is the key to their success. I have to admit I’m a bit addicted to their pasta salad that comes with every order. I would come back just for a cup of that! Affordable and Fulfilling.

This place is kinda of hidden. My mom and I had stumbled upon this place last week. We both ordered the chicken salad sand which with their famous pasta in the side. The sandwhich and pasta were declious. My 1 yr old daughter even enjoyed both the pasta and sandwhich. I will definitely be coming back here again. My mom even said this is going to be here place to come to every time she comes visits me. The only reason I gave 4 stars because it is a little pricey but they still have really good sandwhiches.

I eat here pretty regularly because it’s right by my work and I only have a 30 minute lunch. The owner is very friendly and often behind the register or making sandwiches. I have tried a few specials and always go back to the veggie sandwich. They pile it high with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, sprouts, onions, pickles, avocado, and your choice of cheese and bread. I’m not a fan of the pasta salad, but have learned to specifically ask to have it left off– in a to-go container it makes for a soggy sandwich. My one complaint is that they use a TON of styrofoam. Their trash cans announce«We recycle!» but it’s only cans and bottles. Switching to recyclable plastic or paper would give this place that last missing star.

I truly love these guys… I guess that’s why I’m the Duke here… They go above and beyond what I’d consider necessary. My chase driver and I were craving their food, and they stayed a few minutes late to make sure we were fed and happy… Love you guys… You my heroes today for sure!

Filling, healthy, and delicious — not to mention how great the service is! The guys who work here always give you your food with a smile and I think it makes all the difference. I always get the macaroni salad, it’s made from scratch and it’s soo good!

Well I stopped by the Trolly Stop after I left Preston’s Tire and Auto Repair to grub to have some food because I had not had breakfast and it was already past 10:30AM! What the tartar sauce! I decided to order the BLT on wheat with no mayo but with mustard. I also ordered their house coffee. The BLT was served rather quickly. The bacon in the sandwich was plentiful and crunchy just the way I like it. The bacon was not of the highest quality but it was good. The bread was lightly toasted and very typical. The sandwich was good but not super ridiculously amazing. To my surprise the BLT came with a side of pasta salad. Unfortunately they put a splash of what I think was ranch dressing on the salad, and not being a big fan of ranch dressing, I had to eat around the dressing the best I could. The pasta was fine with out the dressing in my opinion. My meals was good but it did not knock me out of the park. Good meal, including the coffee, was well priced at $ 8.00 and some change.
