I’m revising what I had said yesterday. Finally, today I get my roast beef custom made sandwich. Made it a combo so I could enjoy half now and half for dinner. Had it with cheesy potatoes and garden green salad. Very pleased my wich was the bomb and huff chunks of roast beef. Would definitely recommend there sandwiches for lunch. Every time I go in they never have roast beef. I’ve gone in off and on for the past month and half and never. Always tomorrow or we just ran out. LAME! I will never recommend to go for lunch or sandwiches.

Delicious sandwiches here. Good quality food with outstanding customer service. Around the holidays, expect long lines, it’s definitely worth the wait.

THEONLYWAYTOFEED A FAMILYFORTHEHOLIDAYS! The holidays aren’t about cooking all day in a kitchen away from loved ones who are spending time hanging out or watching football or basketball(Thanksgiving or Xmas) together. That’s why Honey Baked is so great. They sell everything you need and guess what? It’s even better than your mother could make it. So save yourself the headache, relax and enjoy the few times a year you get to see your family and get the whole meal from Honey Baked. Just try my way once, you won’t be disappointed.

Sandwich bar closed at 5:30? So glad I drove out of my way to come here. Won’t be trying the place again.

I have their $ 6.99 Sandwich/salad combo alot on the way home from work and they are ABSOLUTELY delicious. 3/2015.The sandwiches are now $ 5.99 and delicious as ever. The Tavern is my favorite but they are all mouth watering and the taste beats any sandwich anywhere in San Diego for the Price. The Ham, and Turkey are great for special events and there meat prices are very fair. All are delicious. The people who work there are very friendly, and are really knowledgeable about there foods. Workers of this caliber are rare that really about providing superb customer service. I encourage everyone to try this place because you will keep going back like I do over and over. Highly reccommend.

Great handmade sandwiches and sides. Each Sammy is freshly made to order. But the communication between myself and employees is always awkward. If handmade sandwiches are offered Honey Baked needs to stress communication. Each time I order must repeat my order over and over and when asked questions by the HB employee I have to have them repeat. Exhausting. Give EM a chance. Maybe phone your order in.

Have family coming in from across the country for Thanksgiving, and my father-in-law really likes Honeybaked hams. My wife and my father-in-law’s fiancé came up with the idea of ordering a whole meal from Honeybaked instead of spending the whole day cooking. Fast-forward to us looking up meals on their website, and finding one that would work for the whole brood. I call up a few days later to reserve our food, and the guy on the phone tells us the combo is an online-order thing, but that we could reserve our turkey & ham for in-store pickup and buy the sides separately in-store. Minor frustration, but no biggie. Fast-forward to the Monday before Thanksgiving, and I drop into the store around 10am. There’s a line, but that’s to be expected this time of year. When I get to the front, I explain our situation, and give the list of items to Gabby. Not only does she end up hunting down all the stuff we wanted(which was a lot), but she finds a way for me to basically double our amount of turkey(which would have been an issue) while only costing me about $ 8 more than I would have spent anyway. THEN, to top it all off, she finds a coupon on the sheet I printed out from online that takes another $ 7 off the price of our ham! Talk about great customer service! Get this girl a promotion, pay raise, bonus, or something! The quick run-down: — Pricey food, but incredible quality — Amazing customer service during probably the busiest time of year — Friendly employees that try to find the best deal possible for customers

Who doesn’t love Honey Baked Hams! They are not only good at the holidays but year round! I love the sides but there is nothing like a fresh cooked Original Honey Baked ham.

I love being able to get a taste of the holiday season all year round with their daily sandwiches. Their sides aren’t that great, but their classic honey ham and turkey can’t be beat.

Ok came here cause I got a free pound of turkey(or ham) coupon. Where u ask I have my ways. Lol nah it was the freebie Friday on I forgot what show, but anyways I went there to collect my free turkey. The place was empty a cheerful person came from the back and greeted me. Gave her the coupon and told her I wanted turkey and asked how far in advance if I wanted to order for thanksgiving she politely answered all questions. And asked if I wanted any dried soup mix or anything else.(Ahh the up sale) I politely took my free turkey and left. Walked out the door and saw they sale Eli’s cheesecakes went right back in and bought one because my hubby always wanted to try them. Can’t really rye the cheesecake because its not their own product. But the turkey was really good. Will go back again!

I have ordered hams from here around the holiday time and always have been impressed with the quality of the ham and the excellent service I receive. I pass by this store at least once a week and a giant banner advertising sandwiches for 4.99 caught my eye. I walked in and it was not busy at all. I was greeted by a very nice and helpful young lady. She showed me all the options on the salad bar and offered me a variety of side dishes to go with it. I was blown away by the sandwich! This thing was piled high of turkey and ham along with all the veggies I wanted. The texture of the ham and the champagne mustard really worked well together. I got a combo and a soda. A+ for the friendliness and cleanliness of the store. I believe the clerks name was Raquel told me about some full ham specials. I will be back ! A+++

Honeybaked Ham. I dunno, it’s kind of a weird place to specialize in ham… but after driving by it hundreds of time we noticed the sign saying they had sandwiches. You’d think that a ham sandwich from a place that just sells ham would be the best ham sandwich in the existence of ham sandwiches. I mean holy grail of ham right? Sadly the pieces of ham on our sandwiches were about as fatty as they were ham-y. I know ham is not known for being lean, but it was a bit excessive and hard to enjoy. So not so great. The girl who put our sandwiches together(despite her not so lean ham slice choices) was never nice. Her attempt at selling us an entire ham as an add on sale was a little awkward though. Not sure who is going for that as an impulse by.

This place is the best. My hubby and I first started going to Honeybaked when we lived in Chula Vista, and when we moved we were so sad to think we were leaving those yummy sandwiches behind! Imagine when we moved to La Mesa and discovered there was another location about 5 minutes from our new apartment. We come here about two or three times a month and it is always great. The service is great, there’s never a line, the sandwiches are absolutely out of this world, they’re CHEAP, and their sides are tasty too. I’ve only had the cheesy potatoes(with bacon and chives… YUM!), split pea soup and bean soup, but they were scrumptious! I normally get the Tavern Club on Hawaiian bread, with extra honey mustard(theirs is called«champagne mustard» and it is the bomb!). I think I’ll have to get a sandwich tonight, in fact! ;-)

I love this place… I drove by and saw a huge sign that said they make sandwiched for $ 4.99, and given that I am a big fan of their ham, I decided to give it a try. I ordered their Honey Baked Ham Classic Sandwich and for a $ dollar more I was able to add a side order of their potato salad. The sandwich already came with a side garden salad. I had the sandwich on rye and it was nicely pilled with their wonderful honey ham.( ) The sandwich was excellent. The bread was very good and so were the tomatoes, cucumbers, and the swiss cheese I chose. The potato salad was very good too.( ) I liked that it had chopped pickles in it. I thought, perhaps it had a little to much sauce in it, but other than that, it was great. The salad was good and I really liked the balsamic I asked for, for my dressing. The sandwich came in an awesome sturdy tray.( ) The service was superb as well; friendly, polite, and most importantly helpful. The place was very clean and organized. I had my food to go because they do not have inside seating, but one of the girls told me that they plan on having it soon. Great Ham…

Please read for FULL details… Picked up a ham for our Christmas Eve dinner the other day. For all intensive purposes this is a 5 star review. I am dinging them TWO stars due to the Team Member who was eating and biting his nails behind the counter while we picked up our ham though. I am going to just hope and pray that he is not allowed to touch food. Regarding my actual ham… it was awesomely delicious! We picked up a ¼ ham which is supposed to be good for 3 – 5 people. It could EASILY feed 5+ people. Clearly we had plenty of extra ham as there are only two of use. The ham was absolutely delicious. Their instructions tell you to just let it sit out at room temp for 30 minutes and serve cold, but I wanted it to be hot. We tossed it in the oven on low and let it heat up. Served it with some Hawaiian rolls(also available at Honeybaked) and some mashed potatoes & gravy. It was the perfect Christmas eve dinner. I look forward to going back next year!

Very disappointed with this store. I have bought my hams from the La Mesa store for the last 7 yrs, I ordered a ham for Christmas dinner like always, sent my daughter to pick up the ham due to my hectic work schedule and advised her to print the coupon from the website, as I had forgot to leave it at home. When my daughter went to the store the clerk helping her was extremely rude and refused to take her coupon, she told my daughter it was the wrong one she needed the $ 9 coupon. My daughter paid full price for the ham $ 50 and then the clerk picked up a coupon from the counter and used it for the next customer. When my daughter asked if she could use a coupon from the counter the girl said NO. I called the store to speak with the manager«Raquel» and she was not helpful at all. Very rude and uneducated I must say. She had the nerve to compare the Honey Baked Ham store to wal-mart and how a coupon is to be used. The manager never once apologized for the horrible customer service, nor did she advise to bring back the coupon for a refund. It’s not even the $ 9 its the principal!!! Where is the customer service at? It’s Christmas time and be happy I am spending $ 50 on a HAM for god sakes!

I was very impressed with this place. I drive by it everyday and never gave it much thought. This year for Thanksgiving the family is in town and wanted to have ham for Thanksgiving on top of the Turkey we already purchased. Having only one oven I wasn’t too crazy about going out to cook one on top of managing the bird as well. So I was driving with the fam and they pointed out Honeybaked as we drove by and we decided to check it out. First off the parking is very tiny for about 20 cars. It was packed but we were lucky enough to get a space. We walked in and the place was packed, the line was long(maybe 10 people). I was so impressed with the inside of this place. Very clean, well organized and proportioned considering the traffic in there and the size of the place. We weren’t in line longer than 5 minutes before we were helped. We just wanted a small ham for the 5 of us. We told the staff what were looking for and they brought out a perfect size ham(see pictures) for $ 20! I thought it was a great deal. Avoid the mess and time of cooking and just have a ham ready to go. The ham is cooked and ready to stick in the oven for heating. 275 for 30 minutes is all it takes. The true test was how it tasted. We couldn’t wait two more days to give it a try so we picked a pinch of and to my surprise: good deal AND it tastes great!!! Wow the ham is delicious! I’m very happy with the quality and will definitely be using Honeybaked in the future. They sell family style meals and sides as well. If you want to drop in and try you can. They have numerous samples at the store to try. To sum it up, good food, friendly staff and speedy service two days before Thanksgiving, can’t get any better than that!

This place came in really handy the last year we went to my Mother’s in Arizona and she was just getting too old to cook, a real shame as she was the most wonderful cook. I went in to ask questions the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, planning to get the info but do my ordering through the location near her in Arizona. But I found out that location would be closing at 6pm and it would be too close whether we could make it by then, driving from San Diego, and not being able to leave till our youngest got out of school around noon. At this location they informed me that the food would keep fine in the frig and travel fine in a cooler(we have a large one, fortunately) for the trip there so next thing I knew I was walking out the door with about $ 60 worth of food! Knowing my cousin Susan from Indiana would be there with her two grown sons I wanted to provide a good meal and have enough food for everyone. I had gotten part turkey and part ham plus 2 or 3 side dishes, and we also bought a Tofurkey at the local Sprouts Market in AZ for my youngest to have since she was vegetarian at that time. The food was a great success, my cousin brought two pies she made at her son’s, I had two pies I bought at the Sprouts Market and we all had a great meal and a wonderful visit! My mother didn’t have to do a darned thing except enjoy the visit and she even wrote me a lovely note afterward thanking me for everything and telling me what a great day it had been. This was the last Thanksgiving we spent with her as she passed away the next January so I am grateful to the Honeybaked Ham store for helping make it such an enjoyable one.
