If you want to be treated like excrement come here. But to their defense they do try to make up for it with cold food sarcastic crap waiters… too bad I didn’t catch his name so I can put him in my Christmas card list.

My family and I enjoyed a superb brunch and really enjoyed the experience. The server Diego was very quick and attentive, particularly in keeping my coffee filled almost quicker than I was drinking it. The hostess Kimberly at the register was a complete sweetheart and made the first and last impression a delight, even bouncing to the tables helping with drinks and refills and clearing tables off when no one needed to be helped up front — that’s an A+ hostess. As for the food; quick, hot, well prepared and generously portioned, not to be missed. We will be back.

Not impressed! My fries come out dark. So, I asked the waiter to remove them from my bill. The waiter had to take the fries to the manager(Rae) for her approval. Let me just say how kind she was to remove a whole $.50. Also, not really a fan of an establishment that allow pets on the general eating area when they are not service animals. Won’t come back again!

Gave this place a 2nd chance. It’s just not that good. You could do better going to Dennys. I REALLY wanted to like it. The staff was very friendly and seemed to try really hard, but it’s the FOOD. I ordered eggs, potatoes, bacon, and a pancake. The eggs were ok, the bacon was limp, the potatoes looked like what I end up making when I fail at making them(but they tasted fine). It was the pancake. It seemed like it had been sitting under the lamp a little too long. It was hard as a rock and dry. Not fluffy at all. Oh, well. Like I said the staff was friendly. The busser who was getting drinks was carrying a beverage tray with two hands. It was hilarious. Poor thing.

This place was not a great experience. I took my family from out of town. There was an awful smell and it was cold in there. We had to ask for refills for coffee and sodas. The food was average nothing spectacular. Every one got a different omelet which is there name you would think they would be amazing. We won’t be back.

One of my complaints is that we found two egg shells in the eggs Benedict. I really liked the chicken fried steak and hash browns, though. The biscuits were very, very dry in the biscuits and gravy. But, the service was great! I wish I could’ve got our servers name, but he wasn’t wearing a name tag. Food was very over priced for its quality. Overall, I probably won’t be joining The Omelette Factory for breakfast again.

Great portions, great price, great taste. Workers swarming like bees, coffee never went below half, iced tea never went low. After 10:30am on a Sunday, seated quickly and we were well taken care of. Thanks Rae and Mike!

My girlfriend and I live in the area and decided to give this place a chance… Service was okay but we almost felt harassed by three separate people asking if we were ready to order within a two minute window. She ordered the cinnamon roll french toast special and I opted for the southern breakfast(biscuits and gravy with sausage and 2 eggs) and I substituted bacon instead of the flat sausage. The food came out in a timely manner and the eggs we received were less than stellar. I was throughly disappointed in the biscuits and gravy as the biscuits were incredibly dry. I didn’t say anything because my girlfriend and I were really hungry. Her cinnamon roll french toast were pretty good, I can honestly say that I have had better. Lastly, our waiter overcharged us for coffee we never had but he rectified that after I brought it to his attention. Overall, I wished we had a better experience because we probably won’t be going back. The dry biscuits were off putting and I was really looked forward to them as it has been a while since I had them.

The omelette was lacking. It just didn’t have any kick. Their salsa was also on the weak side. Staff weren’t very friendly. I only got my water glass filled once, and that was when they brought it to me.

01−11−16 — One star is for the eggs. The service is a joke. The waitresses are all huddled together clearly texting or something on their cell phones. No one asked us how our food is. I asked to have my English muffin«toasted well», see picture. It’s butter soaked and barely toasted. I will never be back. The Santee location is a million times better. 01−28−16 — after a very nice email from the owner, asking for another chance, I returned today with my son. I didn’t say anything about the previous Unilocal review, hoping to get another honest review. My waitress was Trisha. She was amazing. She clearly loves her business. Very attentive, sweet, accommodating. The food was much better today as well. I met the owner, Ralf. He’s a very nice man who clearly is doing all he can to improve his restaurant. I will definitely return and ask for Trisha every time. Thank you, Ralf, for reaching out to me! Sincerely, Jamie

Everything I read prior is true in regards to negative comments. I always like to judge for myself. Drink orders came fast, but then you sit & wait to put in your food order. Employees(hostess & waitress) were dressed in «work out» gear. Which is awesome if your going to the gym, but it was hard to tell at first if they even worked there. Food was below average & had no flavor. Would not go back. Hope this review helps. Gave 2 stars because staff was nice.

Disappointed. My chorizo tasted like hamburger. I was assured its chorizo. Try anything other than the omelettes at this omelette factory. Great service though.

Was visiting in La Mesa and we needed a new place to try for breakfast. My friend said the restaurant used to be something else and was great to why not give it a try. It’s a nice space, sort of old fashioned diner sort of place with plenty of seating for the busy days and lots of parking near by. We were greeted immediately by the hostess and seated in a nice booth at the back of the restaurants. That day there were two daily specials, blueberry or pumpkin pancakes with eggs and choice of meat. All the omelettes are made with four eggs and there are plenty to choose from but four eggs, really? Was going to have a senior veggie omelette which was only two eggs but decided I’d try the blueberry pancakes instead. Big mistake. They were the size of manhole covers and so tough it took a knife and fork to cut them. They came with a small container of syrup and I would have liked more but the server was nowhere to be found. Eggs were scrambled and ok, bacon was in between crisp and underdone. My friend said her pumpkin pancakes were really good and didn’t complain about them being tough but they were much smaller and probably didn’t take as long to cook. Would I go there again, not sure. The price was decent but I can’t get over tough pancakes.

Came here for breakfast. I was craving for buttermilk pancakes with bacon and eggs over easy. As we pull up, there’s a small parking lot in front. As we entered, we were greeted hello. The waitress sat us at a table. Our waiter was super nice. I never caught his name but made sure we were taken care off. I went ahead and ordered water and those buttermilk pancakes which was three stacks high and got it with bacon and eggs over easy. The buttermilk pancakes were good but a little over cooked which made it taste dry even with the syrup. I like my pancakes fluffy and light. These were a little chewy but tasted okay. The service however was excellent! I like how the guys clearing the tables were so efficient and nice! The guys politely asked if they wanted to take away my empty plates. A major plus in customer service. However, I may come back and order something different. Buttermilk pancakes were dry so I would not order this again. The omelettes looked good.

Came here for the first time today and was seated outside. The hostess took our drink order and some other guy brought our drinks out. We waited 20 minutes before going inside and asking if they could send someone out to take our order. We were the only ones outside so I think they forgot about us. They sent out a waitress who was amazing. She apologized and said it wasn’t her table but was here to help us. The only reason I am not giving 1 star is because our waitress was awesome. After getting our food 45 minutes after we arrived, we ate. It was decent. We waited another 15 minutes after we were done eating for our check. Don’t think I will come here again because I just don’t have over an hour for breakfast.

My family and I went here for breakfast, expecting a decent meal before heading out towards Del Mar for the day. We had found this place via Google, and it had some pretty good reviews. I wish we had checked Unilocal first. We were seated very shortly after arriving and greeted by a staff member who took our drink orders. Our drinks came very quickly. The first thing I noticed was that my coffee tasted like hot water mixed with a splash of burnt coffee. I was desperate for caffeine, so I dealt with it. Then our waitress came and took our order. For the record, throughout this entire awful chain of events, she was great. She was kind, attentive, and very understanding. Sadly, her excellence in customer service was not enough to salvage this horrible experience. My husband ordered the country style eggs benedict, I ordered the breakfast burrito, and we ordered the wheat and honey pancakes for our son. When our food came, we immediately dug in, and quit as quickly as we had begun. My hashbrowns were burnt and cold at the same time, the tortilla was chewy and old, the eggs inside were tasteless mush. My son’s pancakes tasted like bland pancake mix with no sugar. My husband almost gagged and compared his meal to eating a wet paper towel. We waived down our waitress and explained the situation. We had maybe taken 5 bites amongst us. She offered to get us something else, but at that point we just wanted to leave. We explained that we would gladly pay for our drinks and our son’s pancakes since he had decided to eat them anyway, but there was no way we were going to pay for my husband and my meals. The waitress patiently explained that there wasn’t a manager on duty, only the owner. She cautiously warned us that he may not refund our meals. Sure enough, she came back and explained that the owner told her that we «ordered it, and it wasn’t [his] fault». At that point, we asked her to bring him to our table. He approached and was immediately defensive. He told us he would get us something else, and we explained that we had plans and just wanted to leave. This made him very angry, and he took our ticket and marched off without a word, huffing, rolling his eyes, and shaking his head. We pay for our son’s pancakes and milk, my husband’s juice, and my murky hot water. We were sure to tip our waitress. As we got up to leave, we realized the owner was waiting by the door to confront us. He immediately got in our faces, asking why we thought his food was bad and saying we hurt his feelings. Mind you, I’m 7 months pregnant carrying our 2 year old son in my arms, and this awful man wants to poke at us on our way out the door. All we wanted to do was leave, but he continues to provoke my husband, saying no one has ever sent back his food, and everyone loves it. I quickly nudged my husband towards the door, explained to the owner«NOT in front of my son», and told him if he really wanted people’s opinions, he should look online.

Updating my review because I gave this place a second chance. My gal pal wanted to hangout close to my house since she was pressed on time and the Coco’s on Lake Murray closed down. It was still only OKAY. I knew I would not be impressed, but I was surprised that I was not disgusted this time around. My server was hot and friendly and I was more satisfied with my order this visit. That’s really the only reason I updated my review with an extra star because ultimately I still wouldn’t mind if this place burns down.

Just left here for breakfast, ive been here before but its my first time reviewing it. For starters the place is a breakfast/lunch place and is only open until 2pm. So you can expect to wait because there is usually a morning rush. We were seated fairly quickly but it took some time for someone to come ask us what we would like to drink. Me and my partner both ordered coffee and waters which again took awhile to get to us. We had two people serving us which I dont remember the names of either because they never told us who they were. My partner asked the male server if he could have some creamer but after about 5 minutes of waiting we noticed he had totally forgotten. It was pretty funny because at one point he was standing in the middle of the restaurant surveying all the tables to see who might need assitance(which is good) but he totally spaced about the creamer. So i politely called him over and reminded him and he was like Ohh !! LOL. I thought it was funny. After we ordered, we decided to look around and feel out the vibe of the place. It is very homey, definitely a classic diner type of place. The servers were all over the place. I suppose they were not prepared for the rush today because orders were being sent back and servers were flagged down for missing items. It wasnt super noisy even though it was packed. The bathroom was kinda gross and there werent any seat protectors for the toilet. We finally got our food after like a 20 minute wait. I ordered the texan omlette with a side of fruit and my partner ordered the french toast plate. The french toast was unimpressive and cold. My texan omlette had the potential to be amazeballs but it was cold and they didnt put enough topping on it. It was basically like a big egg with barely any chili cheese and onion on top. But again, the taste of the omlette was GOOD!!! I ordered a biscuit with my food and it was really good but sadly again it was cold :(… i also ordered hash browns that the server totally forgot about until after we had finished eating. She was nice though, she took them off our bill and brought a to go box for them. Overall, i would say this place has good food but they really need to work on getting the food out as ordered. I worked at hodads and im no stranger to a rush, but you cannot be off your game. The servers were really nice but they need to get it together lol. With all that said, I would come back and eat here again. :”)

This resturant is only open for breakfast and lunch, and the cut off time is 2PM. This is a hotspot, so expect a little bit of a wait. The resturant has a warm, rustic diner feel. Omelets are 10+ and if you’re coming to a place called the Omlete factory you have to judge it based off its Omlete. I tried the Texan and the french toast. The Texan was light and fluffy. The eggs werent seasoned very much but the chili sauce and potatoes made up for the lack of seasoning. The french toast was good but it was cold. They didnt manage to get the food out in time because of the rush. I’ve been to this resturant before and they were not on their A game today. Customer service was good. Our server kept checking up on us, no complaints here. I would come back again.
