I love Denny’s! It is such a safe«go-to» restaurant! Great food selection at reasonable prices! As a mom of three and on a budget, when I do go out to eat I don’t want to take my chances on food price, quality, and service. Enter Denny’s! Now all that being said… I love THIS Denny’s the best! Super nice service and they are NOT annoyed that we show up quite regularly for kids eat free Tuesday: momma needs a night off! Hello! Food quality and quantity consistently great. Ok I am even talking about some of the healthier options here! Robert the night manager smiles and welcomes all three of my energetic über friendly kids. My kids say hi and find our seat! Edvin patiently deals with my wanting to order everything on every beautifully photographed page! I came here for my sons 3rd birthday at his request for breakfast and the server even sang to him! I totally want to own a Denny’s… Or at least be able to eat here every day. Long live Denny’s!

Saron was a very attentive server. This experience was a lot better than my last one. It was a slow morning in there so they weren’t to busy. My breakfast was delicious and I like how she offered to add I’m cheese and spinach to my eggs. Love a healthy choice. I’ll be back

I visit this location a lot. The staff here are great and friendly, and the wait time after ordering is not long at all. My significant other and I come here so frequently that Maria and Lucio remember what food & drinks we usually order. This is our favorite Denny’s location and we will continue to come back!

Dennys is having customer appreciation day and to celebrate, they are BLASTING the community with super loud music. Called the restaurant first to ask them to turn it down — they did for about 15 min. and it’s back up to a loud roar again. POORFORMDENNY’S. You are targeting a particular age group with your type of loud music — try Mozart, I hear that will run the homeless off.

Very bad service last night! We sat down with our menus. We sat there knowing what we wanted to eat waiting for the waitress that had not even gone to get our drinks! We waited 20 mins probably even more so we got up and left! We went next door to Marie Callender’s instead. Now that was amazing service! We got drinks within minutes of sitting and the food was just amazing as well! I recommend going to Marie Callender’s next to this Denny’s because you will get amazing food and service there rather then at Denny’s!

Kristy is so awesome she’s always looking for ways to save me money when I order here and makes great suggestions. She’s so nice and is always so patient with customers even though every time I eat here it’s really late at night. I’ve overheard her helping some interesting customers(being nice by saying interesting btw) and she is very considerate and gives them the customer experience they need. You rock Kristy!

I go to Denny’s almost everyday for breakfast and use my AARP app. To get the discount and never have a problem but today at this Dennys they said they don’t take the Mobile app. I told them I use it everywhere and they always take it. The mobile app is a picture of the same card that I have the numbers are the same, everything is the same. My card that they sent me ran out it was last years so now I use the app. Instead of being an idiot in arguing with me why not just use the mobile app. I told him I came here because I was getting the 15% discount so either give me the discount or I don’t pay the bill. He gave me the discount then he told me AARP told them not to take the mobile app so I called AARP and told them the story and asked why would you tell them not to take the mobile app and they said we would not tell them not to take the mobile app so I said the guy is lying to me and they said we would not tell them not to take the mobile app

Service was not good at all. Was overcharged for things we didn’t order and we had to ask for coffee refills as well at various sauces and syrup. Been here. 2 times. The first time was good but this time wasn’t. I don’t think we will be back

Decent food, decent price. The waitress who who helped me out was really nice & my order came out right away! Place looks clean. Its a Denny’s you get what you pay for.

Inconsistent. Food appears made in haste. Over medium eggs have the whites still running. Some of the toast had butter on it some did not. Service is very slow. A lot of «ignoring» by hostess..

This has been one of the only Denny’s I’ve been to during my visits in San Diego. The people that work here have been friendly and have worked quickly to get us what we needed(utensils, drinks, condiments and food). This location is easy to get to and the parking isn’t bad. The restaurant is clean and the wait time to get food is never really long(most times we get seated right away). The food is alright and can fill you up, but not something that’s spectacular. This is a place to go to when you want some ok food, some ok service and just something to fill you up for a decent price.

Bf and i came here at 3:30 pm and there was not a lot of costumers, but food still took about 40 freaking minutes to get to our table. I had an order with a side of pancakes, which was the reason why our food wasn’t brought to us in a timely manner, since the cooks seem to have forgotten about the pancakes. However, our waiter, David, passed by us several times without even acknowledging or updating us as to why our food was taking a while. We already saw our food(without my side order of pancakes) up in the bar, but David the waiter didn’t bring up to the cooks that the pancakes weren’t there yet… until the bf had to get up and mention it to them. Everything wouldve been fine if David just brought us our food and said that the pancakes were coming in a little bit, but instead he just ignored the food up in the bar and were brought to our table almost cold. Upon paying, he David didn’t even acknowledge the long time it took for our food to get to us, and still rung us up full price. We paid with card, but I’m not sure if this particular Denny’s ASKSFORTIPSTRAIGHTUPINSTEAD of the costumer writing down the tip on the receipt, but that was the case for us. and knowing that there were other costumers behind us that it would feel awkward if we told him that we did not want to tip, so we felt obliged to just have him put $ 5 as tip on the card. This particular Denny’s needs to train and retrain their staff better, as i can see from the other comments that this branch needs to work on their customer service.

Had breakfast here, your average Denny’s. It was clean, thank goodness. The food was good, nothing spectacular. If you’re looking to grab a quick breakfast come here, if you’re in the area.

The service was pretty slow for being a Friday and not having a lot of customers to begin with. Our server was okay. I ordered steak and wanted it medium rare and came out medium well. I didn’t want to have to return it hand have to wait another 20 minutes for my food. Overall I would say this place is okay. Only reason we ended up here because DZAKINS resistant next door was closed due to power outage. Sheesh

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I waited 38 minutes for my freaking lunch plate and got no refill on my juice while I waited. Finally the food came out and then both my order and my gfs order were wrong. Also a note, I learned everything about the employees personal life as 2 waitresses were standing around practically yelling at each other across the room telling eachother their chisme, the entire time I was waiting for my food. so obviously they were not busy. Will not return to this location ever again.

I came here with my boyfriend and friend for a late night this past weekend and it’s safe to say I probably won’t be back at this location. While our waitress was super nice, I didn’t appreciate my order being screwed up big time. I ordered a Caesar salad for starters & it came out drenched in dressing. Croutons were soggy & dressing was sour. It looked like it was tossed 30 mins prior and was just sitting there in case anyone ordered it. Then, I ordered the«build your own burger» & specifically asked for a veggie patty — it was NOT a veggie burger whatsoever! She even repeated my order to me! I’ve been a pescetarian for 6 years now and this made me livid. It’s just not cool. The waitress did however state that the cook was«in a bad mood» so maybe he didn’t care to serve soggy salad and meat to a non-meat eating person? Who knows. Anyways, this place got one star only because the waitress was super apologetic & tried to help. But other than that they suck.

Best looking Denny’s I have seen in awhile. Don’t come here looking for a 5 star meal ‘yall. That being said we order 2 slams for $ 4 each. Our server was a cute Filipina auntie, she was really attentive & sweet. We also ordered a hot cocoa & oj, totaling $ 14 on the bill. Denny’s is cheap and easy, major stars for this place being clean and updated to look more modern.

I came here with family, and my experience was okay. I personally ordered a Double Cheeseburger, which was huge, but it ended up somewhat overcooked and dry. The server was nice and energetic, at least. I’m not sure about coming back here again next time I’m in San Diego.

Hope you are ready for this review… So between the screaming waiter Ceasar. the complaining waitress Shannon and the venting waitress Karon. ugh I don’t know where to begin. So I came in. a girl greeted us. sat us down. .then I over heard Shannon complaining about someone not confronting her about something loud enough for ½ the dining area to hear. it got pretty quiet and from what I observe Shannon is just naturally voicetress person. down to earth but there is a time and place to be like that Denny’s is not your kitchen hunty. Then I hear Karon complain about customers pissing her off regarding a steak… then Ceasar yelled across the room asking what time of pancakes or bread the customers wanted and they screamed back to confirm his question. The food was good I have no complaints in that I had the Chicken Salad and seasoned fries… some cinnamon pancakes and the mango strawberry pucker and Caramel coffee. .well they don’t have the caramel coffee anymore although it is advertised. but Shannon went out of her way to bring me caramel syrup. so it worked out. This place just needs better professionalism. did I mention they(the 3 I’m discussing) were eating and talking behind the counter were I can see them. hell everybody can see them. I cant deal.

I came here this morning for breakfast with my girlfriend. I’m not a huge fan of Denny’s as it is, but the grits were watery and tasted weird. I know what you’re thinking, «sure, sure I heard of grits, I just actually never seen a grit before.» –Cousin Vinny(Joe Pesci). Well this guy never wanted to see a grit again after this morning. I’m not going to even try to guess what was wrong with them. Fortunately, the bacon, eggs, sausage, and hash browns in my «choose you own grand slam» were good. My server was very friendly and on top of everything. The weirdest thing though, he held his hand out in front of my face for a handshake as introduced himself. I’m big on handshakes and eye contact, so I shook his hand. But in all my life, I’ve never seen a server at a restaurant do that. This is not necessarily a criticism.
