What a shady Starbucks! Service was so slow during a slow period of the day. I counted four people working in the store, three behind the counter and one on the floor. While waiting in line I saw a male and a female transient enter the same bathroom together and remained in there for over twenty minutes. When they came out they looked like they had just used drugs. What was most surprising is the employees had no clue. I won’t use this Starbucks again.

There is usually a pretty long wait here but it’s large enough that you can always find a seat. Nice outdoor area as well.

I had a really wonderful experience here today. I had forgotten to mention that I wanted only two pumps of flavor in my drink and once I received my drink I worried that they might not remake it because of my mistake however the barista, a nice lady, quickly remade my drink and handed it to me with a smile. I am definetly doing to return here because the service was fast and the Barista was talented and friendly. Thank u!

I asked for a dopio(two shots of espresso) in the small demitasse ceramic like they have for every size but was told they would no longer carry that because they break. How can a store that specializes in espresso not offer espresso in a classic demitasse cup? A paper cup just does not work. The drink is cold in 20 seconds! Neither does it work to put two small shots in the bottom of a large cup. It is like serving beer in a coffee mug! The reason the coffee cups break is because they are being used. I have bought the Starbucks demitasse cup for home that has lasted for years. This is a very poor choice by management!

So friendly… Always gets my orders right and real consistent with the way they taste. Always nice, they great you right when you walk in. Been going here for years whenever my works brought me to this area, it’s away from a ton of traffic, it’s kinda like a local Starbucks :)

I come here a few times a week and the service is always good. I don’t drink any of the blended or sweet drinks, just regular coffee or tea but they’ve never messed up any orders I’ve picked up for other people. Everyone I’ve encountered is friendly, but then I’ve never given them an attitude like some of the customers that I’ve seen in there. I like this location better than the Grossmont Center one because I can get in and out much faster and parking is a lot easier to come by.

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Nice and cool inside on a hot day. The open seating area indoors and free WiFi is appealing. This particular Starbucks is relaxing in the afternoon. The baristas are able to handle my various decaf requests with speed and finesse. This location sits back from Fletcher Parkway — I enjoy the sounds of the passing trolleys and the shady outdoor tables.

I highly recommend this Starbucks to people who have time to kill. No, I don’t mean time to kill sitting with your drink in a nice, peaceful interior. I mean time to kill standing in line to order your drink followed by even a longer time waiting to get your drink. I’ve been to this Starbucks several times and each time leave banging my head and wondering why I didn’t remember how slow the service was in prior visits. I think this is one of the locations which new Starbucks partners go to get a job, get some experience and then quickly move to a better store. I rarely see the same faces behind the counter. So, if you want your drink in a timely manner find a different Starbucks location… there are several close by!

Went in this morning with my husband for some bagels and coffee. We were rung up by a barista named Nick. He was great, had wonderful manners, and was just a super nice guy. Diana made our drinks as her and my husband talked basketball. My husband is a basketball referee and chats it up with Diana every time we come in. I was a barista for years and I know this job is a balancing act. Nick and Diana have it down!

This place seems to have stepped it up over the last year. They have a solid set of regular staff — baristas are mostly awesome with a few slower people mixed in. Always friendly and clean. My favorite Starbucks in the area.

I’ve been puting off this Unilocal review for months now thinking that maybe the service would get better here over time. But finally without further ado here it is. I’d have to say that every time I’ve sent my husband here for my morning coffee run(or even when I’ve stopped in) they’ve always seemed to royally screw up my order! They always failed to ask if your order is hot or cold. When my husband or I tell them that the drinks were suppose to be made a different way they respond with«Oh, I’m sorry I’ve already made it!»(W/a little bit of sarcasm if I may add) I then think to myself, so you won’t take into consideration that I may not enjoy this cup of coffee that I just spend over $ 5?(I normally get my beverages with soy, so it’s a few cents more over five dollars.) So to cut this Unilocal review/complain short I finally I came to the conclusion that this Starbucks location has shitty service! The morning shift to be exact! And this here concludes my little review I hope you all beware and enjoy. To the owner, you might wanna rethink of replacing all your morning workers. I have been pretty patient with them. Yours truly.

This Starbucks is amazing! Surprisingly unique, full of character, distinct flavors unheard of anywhere else, modern and eclectic styling, and service beyond the coffee shop norm sets this place apart! Just kidding. What do you expect? If you’ve ever been in one, you’ve now see them all. Young, yuppie teen«baristas»(note the heavy sarcasm on the word quotations because well… they’re not really baristas, are they?) who are«Oh… my god!“ing and«So like“ing their way through the motions of giving you a supposedly unique Starbucks experience. Yes, yes, they’re nice kids and all, but c’mon… every caffeinated beverage pre– recipe’d and all volumes pre-measured, I fail to see what makes them true baristas or sets this Starbucks — or any of Starbucks for that matter — apart from any other corporate franchise. That doesn’t stop people from standing in the mad 8am line that snakes around the store every morning; your truly included. Now, what I have noticed is that, quite often, there are a number of lithe, nubile beauties(why do those two words always conjure up images from X– rated films… that I’ve umm… never seen?) in yoga pants with light perspiration glistening on their flawless chee… Ahem… anyway. Enjoy the McDonald’s of the coffee world.

Ive been going here for years but in the last month or so the service and quality have gotten bad. Today was my last straw. Rudest barista and the food and drink were horrible. My scone was mushy and the drink was half empty and lukewarm. When I asked for some more steamed milk I was told they could not give me more. !? La Mesa has other options so I wont be going back.

Everytime I come here everyone is either extremely rude or upset. Employes are constantly chatting away and ignoring customers to finish their stories, not the mention the fat Asian girl with bright pink hair is always in a bad mood. And they always make my drink half ass. It’s like they are worried more about time then pleasing the customer.

I work around the area, so I come here for convenience. It’s clean, and the staff is friendly. I work 4 – 5 days a week and I’m here all those days. Peppermint mocha Frapp is my current addiction! :)

It’s hard to find a bad Starbucks and this one is no exception. Went in here for a coffee and oatmeal after a workout at the local gym. The place is kind of small but it has a comfortable layout, I came in around 12:00 — 1:00pm and I was able to sit down in one of the nicer chairs. The oatmeal took a couple of minutes to get because they appeared to have run out of toppings at the front counter so the employee had to go get some from the back. Overall the staff was very friendly and got the job done and I was able to take a seat and enjoy my coffee & oatmeal.

I had a descent breakfast wrap and good good coffee. The breakfast wrap was their chicken sausage with egg whites wrapped in a wheat wrap.( ) The wrap, which cost $ 3.25, tasted good, but the chicken sausage was very limited. In fact, it was just little random scattered ground pieces. So limited, that I feel they are over charging for this wrap.( ) Please take that into account Starbucks. For the my coffee I first had the Pikes Peak, but it was to bitter for my taste, so I asked if I could replace it with something milder, and the Starbucks employees said that was no problem. I was happy to hear that. I ended up with the blond at that was a lot better. The service was very good and friendly, but when I order a chicken sausage wrap, I expect to see at the least, chunks of sausage, not little bits.

It’s a Starbucks… so most of you know what to expect. Anyway, when I showed up the line was short, service was fast and friendly. Drinks were made correct to order. They also had nice mugs for those who wanted to enjoy their coffee inside(like I did). The place is quite small, but still cozy and comfy. Prices are typical Starbucks prices. You either like Starbucks, or you don’t. I do.
