The drinks were fine — standard. The chai latte was pricier than most things on the menu, which seems out of character for being milk and tea. The two stars is because the wait was pretty long with two extra workers not assisting with drinks. One worker was taking orders, running the cash register, and making drinks. She did ask a second worker to open a new gallon of milk, but other than that, he stood behind the cooking side of the counter. If he was cook only, it seems like he could have asked those of in line(a group of 10) if we were going to order food to get started. While we prefer to support local, we all agreed efficiency and price were no competition for Starbucks here.

This is my favorite place in La Jolla to eat. Come by anytime and you’ll see me there for lunch. Ingredients are fresh and the people are friendly. The view of La Jolla Cove is insane. Just eat and watch the kayakers go in and out of the cave. Fun!

5 stars! The chai latte tasted like it was crafted by one of the lord’s angels. The service was also out of this world. The tall gentleman with the killer blonde side bun was very friendly and made me smile.

Not worth the beautiful view! If you’re thinking about having lunch at this place go somewhere else. How this place has even 3.5 stars is beyond me. We were of course drawn in by the beautiful view and decided to try it out… $ 10 for a sandwich isn’t that bad in la Jolla. We take a few minutes to go over the menu and when we decide to order the girl taking our order was TEXTING the entire time. I asked her if they made a particular coffee drink, she said yes(still texting) and then was like«wait what did you ask for? Oh no we don’t make that… I have no clue what you’re talking about». Major attitude! We both ended up buying $ 10 sandwiches. I hope you feel like paying 3 bucks for powder-made lemonade because if you want water, you have to get it out of a lukewarm dispenser right above a used dog bowl. The food tasted like it was the left over deli meat that they were trying to get rid of so they could start selling the good stuff. And on top of that– you literally get goldfish as a side. To whoever came up with that one– it’s not cute, it’s tacky and comes off as cheap. The literal only good thing about this place is the view. Don’t be fooled!

Came here on a Monday morning. The guys that work here are super nice. Food was delicious and came quickly. View of ocean and LJ Shores is pretty spectacular. I really enjoy coming here on weekdays.

Great view. Nice quiet and quaint place to have a drink. I had a double espresso which was excellent. It’s a very non-touristy café in the heart of LA Jolla cove.

This place is so quaint and clean. Everything we ordered was fresh and delish. The 2 man staff was hard working and the front manager was so nice! Their iced tea is very refreshing in the beautiful hot weather.

This is an excellent place to sit, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while simultaneously enjoying the over whelming beauty of the pacific ocean which have a clear shot from the café. The vibe is very welcoming and I will definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the LA Jolla area looking for a quick bite or a nice cup of Joe!

I agree with Candace H. The guy,(I think he’s the manager or even part owner), really has a sour puss attitude, and it makes it awkward when we go there. We like the food and the location/view is great(the only reason for the second star). But this guy needs to get a clue about friendly/welcoming customer service and managing/owning a service business!

Honestly, the guy who worked here was so rude to me today I can’t even handle it. I just needed to use the restroom first, then bought a drink after(because it was for paying customers only, and coffee actually sounded really good) and this guy clearly hated my guts for it. Just rude over all. I will not be returning here again. It’s too bad too, that chai was delicious. Nasty attitudes aren’t cool in general, but especially not in the customer service industry. Good luck guys.

In theory, this place should be awesome. It has a spectacular view of the cover and the ocean. You can bring dogs here. It does have a bathroom and free Wi-Fi. The food is mediocre. Drinks are okay. Hours are very short. It smells funny and there are flies around, but that is probably due to the location(thanks, birds). The view makes this place worth it, I guess.

Was so happy to find a new place and it was very mediocre. The food was not good at all. The drinks were tasty but they were out of a lot of stuff when we go there so it was annoying. I couldn’t get hot tea either because the machine was broken

My overall impression of this place is just okay. I came on a Friday afternoon and parking was not too bad, so I headed to the café to get some work done. I had the panini Italia, and it wasn’t much of a panini. The bread was only very lightly toasted and the inside was lukewarm, most of the cheese wasn’t melted, either. It tasted good though. The views are great if you’re able to snag a spot on the edge of their small patio, and it’s a good place to read a book or study.

wanted to go to brockton villa but they dont allow dogs on the property… LUCKILY Goldfish Point DOES allow dogs. in fact, they welcome dogs inside and out. it was really nice to have such a welcoming place for the entire family :) the dishes are really good and you can customize almost everything. i ordered egg whites and no cheese, and it came out just like i wanted it! the seating is casual and they call out your name when your order is up. and they do breakfast until 3pm ocean views, great staff, cool place, good prices for La Jolla

I love Goldfish. It’s warm and welcoming here. But by far the best part of Goldfish is the view. It’s location on La Jolla’s historic Goldfish Point has kept me coming back here for at least a decade. Goldfish won’t wow you with their coffee or food, but the view and friendly staff will intoxicate you. And if you’re foolish enough to come here to study, best of luck. That’s not to say the food and drinks aren’t good, they are, but they’re nothing to write about. They’re merely complements to a perfect afternoon with a book or a walk on the beach with a special friend.

Was actually headed to another restaurant down the corner for breakfast. But the wait was 1 hour. And I really dislike the smell of rotten fish. And down the corner the smell of dead fish is intense. I was not ready to stand there for 1 hour and be killed by the smell of fish. Luckily there was Goldfish point café. Seems like a pretty chill place to enjoy the view and have a cup of that morning brew. By that I mean coffee. And That’s exactly what I did. Just had a regular coffee, it wasn’t the best. But it wasn’t bad. The food took a bit of a wait. The chef seemed to be a bit overwhelmed with the President’s day weekend rush. Got the Greek breakfast which included scramble eggs with fresh basil, tomato, and I think Parmesan cheese? On the said, there was 2 pcs of wheat toast and a salad with mix greens, fresh feta cheese, and some really good vinaigrette dressing. The combo wasn’t what I had expected, but was still pretty good. Also had the Panini Classico. Basically a panini with fresh mozzarella, prosciutto on a ciabatta bun. It was hot and crispy, the flavor was good, and it came with a side of Goldfishes crackers. Anyone that services goldfishes on the side is awesome in my books. Besides the longer than expected waiting time to get the food. I had a pleasant experience here. The view is good, food was decent, prices aren’t bad. Next time I’m in La Jolla, I know where to get my breakfast!
