A great place to buy cigars, of all things. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and offered a wide range of cigars. They also through in a free cutter with our order.

Chil chill chill!!! A relaxed, calm atmosphere, and I’ll be stopping here after work everytime! Just bought a coozy, half off at $ 25 until april 15th. You get 2 $ cans for a year with this coozy so it’s a super deal right now and I would totally reccomend it!

Johnny Miller is a fantastic bartender, and the staff is always friendly and laid-back. Their beer is improving each time I go in. They have great events, and their regulars are enjoyable to interact with…

Saw Works is my favorite brewery in Knoxville. They guys(and girls) that work there are friendly and the beer is great! There are other breweries in Knoxville that are really restaurants that serve their own beer. That’s great, but their beers are uninspiring. SWBC has excellent standbys as well as fantastic new beers all the time, plus fun events. I’m happy to be a weekly patron.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, Johnny is of particular note. Very accommodating of questions and very thorough in explaining the brewing process! Love that they support local events! The facility is very clean and comfortable. Thanks for a great time! PS…the beer tastes GREAT!!!

I have been super impressed with all of the improvements to the brewery itself and with the tours they started offering! Pair that with the fact they are offering cans for sale out in town means they are doing big things!

We stopped in Saw Works in late July during a road trip from Chicago. We ended up showing up when they were closed, and yet the owner and staff ended up being around and were the most friendly and accommodating people. We still got to sample some beer(the Rocky Hop IPA was awesome). Thanks to Saw Works for being a memorable portion of our trip! We will definitely be back :)

They are a part of the weekly Thursday evening beer run. I sampled two types of beers and well, I’m not a beer person but I love that they are involved with the run! The ambience looked cozy and the workers were cool?

Great place to grab some beer and take a quick, personal tour. I love the bar here. The old saws in the bar top give the place an identity. There are no TV’s which make it all about it the beer. I loved the tour. The guide was very informative and did his best to answer any question asked.

Went here for our first Official Unilocal Event and had a blast. Enjoyed their tasting room, felt very cozy, clean and welcoming. Think they had select beers for only three bucks which was nice. They’re planning on expanding in both capacity and beer offerings, Knoxville needs an awesome and local craft beer brewer, all the cool cities are doing it! I tried their IPA, Chocolate Porter and Pale Ale and enjoyed them all. Definitely have to return here and sip on some cold beers and chill.

My friends and I found a tour offer on Groupon, and decided to go down to Sawworks to take a look around. It is kind of off the beaten path a bit, and the parking looks a little shifty, but once you get inside it is all worth it! The staff was very friendly, and the tour guide is very entertaining. They have some odd hours, and aren’t open the same times as many other places downtown(they like to party as well). Definitely a cool place to stop and fill the growler up. Rocky Hop IPA is my favorite brew. Would highly recommend taking a stop in and trying what they have!

If you are all about the beer, Sawworks is the place for you, because that is definitely their MO. You can tell these guys have a passion for what they do and for making the best product they can. The brewery is clean and the staff is inviting and friendly. The tour was informative and interesting. The only drawback(and the ONLY reason for 4 instead of 5 stars) is the lack of food on a regular basis. I think it is in the works to have a food truck there on most nights(they already have one for special event nights), and when they do, this place will probably always be hopping! I can’t wait to go there more often!

Simplicity with a mix of complexity. That’s what I see when I walk into Sawworks. The complexity comes in when you taste their beers. From the outside, there’s a couple of benches and we question if we were in the correct place. It’s in an industrial type of warehouse and once you park and step inside you see that there’s a nice bar and several tables. Walking through to the other side of the building you see tanks where they brew their beer. Along with a big fridge to cool down their beers as well. Anyways, in their tasting room it’s simplistic. Not much to look at, the room gave me a feeling of rustic. It went along with Sawworks’ theme. The bar is worth mentioning. When talking to Johnny, he explained how they got saws incorporated into the bar. The long huge blade, yep, they had to individually cut into the bar for each of the teeth in a saw blade. You’ll have to go there and see it for yourself! Out of their beers I had the honor in trying their Porter(Out of Stock, but lucky me!), Their rough cut Witt’s Pale, and their IPA. Out of all three I have to say I’m a lover of Porters. Still all three are worth a try. I’ll be sure to be back from time to time to see what they have brewing!

I’ve gotten growlers from Saw Works before, but yesterday was the first time I’ve hung out at the place, and it’s great! The local beers are awesome, always changing, and you can tell that these guys put a lot of care and pride into what they do. I was also able to tour the brewery as well and I highly recommend! Our tour guide, Johnny, was incredibly knowledgeable and you could tell he loved his beers. Also, I think they have food trucks come out occasionally, but I don’t know the schedule. If anyone knows that, please pass on to me! Overall, highly recommend.

Really nice place, clean, lots of tables tucked in a quiet corner… plenty of parking. The tours were really informative and the tour guide was very nice, they even let you smell the hops they use! They have been doing this for approx. 15 years, started out doing this in his kitchen. this building used to be a saw blade sharpening business. Really old and rustic décor. You can tell they really love what they do. Im not a beer drinker I didn’t try the beer but, I cannot wait to go back and experience the live bands in here. I wish and hope they would put in a soda machine for those of us that would like a soda, would be my only suggestion. All in all, great place… will be back for the bands!

Good beer, growlers on sale, and open some nights as a bar. My friends in the beer community turned me on to this place and I’ll be back. My friends loved the stout and I liked the IPA and Tupelo Honey flavored Honey Wheat. When I went on a Friday night a blues band was playing and a food truck was parked outside. Bring your cash for the grub.
