3.5 stars. The blueberry lemonade was very good. I got two servings. My hash could have used a little bit of salt or seasoning. I had to use quite a bit of ketchup to enhance the flavor. I thought it was also a little odd they charge .50 for ketchup for some items on their menu. It is a little inconvenient that they don’t tell you this when you order and you find out while you are picking your meal up. It would be preferred if they just had regular ketchup available for those who want it or at least disclose the associated charge so that you pay for it when you pay for your meal. I think this place is a decent option at the Farmers market. I will visit again.

I wanted to try something new today so I went to HOOF food truck. I think the items on the menu were creative & interesting. I ordered wheat toast with egg, ramps & prosciutto. Also a panna cotta. The toast really could have used more ramp flavor and the slice of prosciutto was very meager. The panna cotta was amazing! The prices are moderate. I think I can only do 4 stars because I wanted a bit more for the money. I think it has a great concept! I will go back and try something else very soon!

They get one star just b/c their cookies were good. These guys catered a banquet I attended, and the food selection was completely inappropriate. To be fair, that may not have been their fault, and that blame may be due the organizers. When serving large groups of people, there should be some attempt to provide something that most folks would like. These guys showed up with two appetizers that didn’t fit that bill. One was a hodgepodge of green beans and ocra and the other was a salad that claimed to be mostly papaya. Needless to say, my plate didn’t get anything put on it until the burger sliders showed up. I know what you’re thinking: «Sliders? What could go wrong with that?» Well, they could put something weird on them that can’t be removed. Of the three slider options, two contained some sort of onion paste that could be scraped off but not forgotten. It actually stunk up the whole table after I tried to wipe it off my burger to make it edible. Maybe this swill is what got ordered, but a business with self-preservation in mind should’ve had the foresight to make something acceptable to a broader audience. I’d give these guys another try if and only if it was free, but I’d enter with extremely low expectations.

I tried this food truck when it was outside of the Bearden Beer Market this past week. I will first start by saying that the fries and garlic aioli dipping sauce were delicious! The burger on the other hand was just OK at best. The burger was $ 12 and with that came a small serving of the fries. I thought the prices were a little high, but with it being local grass fed beef, I thought maybe it’ll be worth it. The beef wasn’t much tastier than any other burger I’ve had. It was OK, but not worth the $ 12…maybe $ 8 would be a better price.
