Insomnia Cookies

I never had insomnia cookies before and I never understood what the big deal was. It’s just cookies. Now I know. It’s not just cookies. The warm chocolate chip cookies are addicting! The chocolate chips melt on your hand and mouth; they are sooo googy. The cookie is so chewy and ahh the fact that they are warm brings it to a whole new level. It’s amazing how I never enjoyed a chocolate chip cookie until insomnia introduced it to me.

I had one of these cookies, after a friend brought a box to a presentation. They were kind of meh — cold and bland and greasy and undercooked. I’ve had a few worse, I’ve had many much better.
I can’t comment on the service, just the cookie itself. You’re better off buying some grocery store cookie dough and making your own, in my opinion.

Our office got a free sample of their cookies when they first opened up and they were warm and delicious. Obviously the lure worked because I ordered some for a meeting. The cookies were delivered very quickly so there’s no issue there. However, the delivered cookies were just ok. Not bad but not nearly as good as the sample box. These cookies are not cheap and while I certainly don’t mind paying extra for quality these cookies just don’t live up to the expense. While I would have given two stars for the cookies I up’d it to three because the service and delivery was great.

Insomnia Cookies specializes in baking and delivering cookies to those who keep odd hours and may be actually looking for some late night munchies. Rumor has it that the business actually started in a dorm room. We had read the story years ago but had never seen a store until now. We walk in to try some cookies. The selection is very limited and nothing really is appealing but I try the Oatmeal Raisin and my husband tries the Snookerdoodle.
Since we are not familiar with this brand we only order one cookie each and return to the car. I try my cookie first; it is actually pretty good although slightly under cooked. Most importantly to me, it is not too sweet. On the other hand my husband’s cookie is forgettable, because it is just mushy and has absolutely no flavor. I think that it may contain lard instead of butter, but it is the most flavorless thing I have ever tasted. He does not even finish it.
Of course I’ve tasted better cookies because I am a baker and I never buy cookies because I find that you actually get very little quality for an exaggerated price. Also, I think that it is a crime to make oatmeal cookies without nuts. As a matter of fact I love to put pecans in all of my cookies because that’s just what I do.
Also, if I want a raw cookie, I will simply eat the cookie dough! When it comes to Insomnia, I say no thank you and will just stick with my own recipes.

This addiction started in NYC when I discovered his delectable treat that was not only delicious on every single morsel of a layer. But, they also delivered! It’s almost too good (or bad) to be true.
Fast forward, I’m back in K-​town, and I see the local insomnia start to take shape. I felt those all too familiar shakes and quivers start to jingle. That scent. That warm box of gooey goodness. Is that diabetes I feel? Nope. It’s the sugary rush of some of the greatest and softest cookies ever.
And they deliver. Until like 3 am.

These cookies, the triple chocolate, peanut butter cup, smores, chocolate chip and oatmeal were to die for good…
These are hot, gooey and grrreat!!!

Apparently, these folks deliver to your door until 3AM.
The cookies here look quite legit. They actually are. So hot. And warm. And soft.
It’s located on what’s called the strip in college town. As such, you’ll find what appears to be college kids working inside. They didn’t seem so eager to be working but hey, all you have to do is hand me a cookie.
I only had one cookie. That’s all you need. The cookie monster would lose his sh*t in this place.

The cookies were good, but the attitude we had to put up with to get them was unacceptable. The cashier was rude, snappy, and dirty. We will not going back to this location because of service.

These cookies are undoubtedly my favorite treat. Not only because they’re so warm and delicious, but also because they’re available until 3AM! Warm cookies and cold milk delivered to your doorstep? Yes, please.
I’ve got to be one of their most frequent customers in Knoxville. In fact, I’m convinced the only reason they don’t recognize my voice when I call is because I don’t actually call, I simply place the orders on their mobile app. Which, double plus! You’ll accrue cookie points with orders placed on the mobile app, and those ‘cookie points’ eventually turn into free cookies. If there’s anything you’ll love more than insomnia cookies, it’s FREE insomnia cookies.
They’re great for the office, parties, or a mid-​day/​late night snack! The menu has something for everyone, and any ‘serious cookie connoisseur’ should check out their selection of ‘deluxe’ cookies. My personal favorite is the peanut butter cup deluxe cookie.
Go ahead and place an order. It’s so simple and their delivery drivers are always pleasant!
The only regret you’ll have is that you didn’t try them sooner.

This is the stuff that dreams are made of! Imagine this! A place that will deliver ooey-​gooey, warm cookies and milk to your door… at 1am! Seriously… it exists! I am pretty sure that my bathroom scale will tell you that me discovering this is a horrible occurance, but my taste buds and everything that’s good inside of me will tell you otherwise!
Here’s the nitty gritty: They do have a delivery radius. If you go to their website or download the app, put in your address and check to see if the cookie fairy will come directly to your door! The delivery fee is small and totally worth it! If the cookie gods have not yet smiled upon you and you don’t qualify for delivery, there store is located on campus.
It was insisted on me and I will insist it upon you, the first time you must try the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookie! It is rich and big enough to share. Life changing. Mind altering. It’s that kind of goodness!

Ordered two brownie sundays at 10:15 on a Sunday night and was quoted a 30 to 45 minute delivery time. However after an hour and twenty minutes our brownies finally arrived. No apologies, no offer for a coupon in the future. And then once we opened the food the brownies weren’t even lukewarm and the ice cream was half melted. Pathetic service and food, no way this place stays in business. Great idea for a store, wish someone who knew what they were doing had done it

What’s better than a warm, tasty cookie? A cookie you can buy after crawling out of a bar at the wee hours of the morning while still singing «Rocky Top». What’s better than that? THEY DELIVER! They sell other treats but at 3 in the omg morning who cares the cookies are the stars.
