Great service, fresh ingredients, and really good bread!(Which makes all the difference in a sub!)

Kittery’s best kept secret! This is one of the areas best sub shop and I come here often for lunch. It’s fast and comfortable place grab a quick lunch. The owner and staff are always upbeat and funny and know most of they’re customers by name. The menu has hot and cold subs, wraps and salads my favorite being the buffalo chicken with bacon and blue cheese, amazing! Portion sizes are very generous and a large is insane! Average cost for a sub with chips and a soda is around $ 12.

I can’t believe this sub shop only has 2(now 3) reviews. It’s been here 20 years. Gotta be doin somethin right. Ok here’s the deal… You know that scene in It’s A Wonderful Life where Nick says, «we make hard drinks for guys who want to get drunk fast»? Well, CS makes big subs for hungry people, cheap. Don’t look for any trendy California 200 sandwich menu here. I had the steak n cheese w ‘shrooms. Fresh sub roll, tasty plump portion of steak — awesome. Drinks n chips and you’re out the door. Been goin there for years.

Paula’s Circle Subs is a local sub shop located in a small strip plaza(with drive thru groceries) next to 7-Eleven. The place is very cozy with a few tables for eating in. The menu offerings include cold & hot subs(6″ and 12″), soups, salads, and drinks. All subs are made to order on french bread rolls and wraps are also available. The prices are very fair, most subs are $ 4.99(6″) and $ 5.99(12″) with a few special subs $ 1 more. They also deliver lunch to the Shipyard, order by 10:15AM. After running a few errands in the area, I stopped at Paula’s Circle Subs around 4:45PM on a cold Tuesday night. I ordered a 12″ Chicken Bomb($ 6.99 plus tax) for my dinner. The sub was prepared to order in the kitchen and the service was prompt. The Chicken Bomb was very enjoyable and loaded with diced grilled chicken, salami chunks, peppers, onions, mushrooms, oil, mayo, and melted provolone cheese on a soft sub roll, not too chewy. I was a happy camper! My only concern is that they’ve closed up shop several minutes earlier than the posted closing time of 5:00PM(Mon-Sat). I tried to stop here a few weeks ago around the same time(4:45PM), but the door was locked, lights on inside, and the open light was turned off.
