How am I the first person to review this salon?
Roots’ location is a bit obscured — it’s in a small strip mall off the Kittery traffic circle, just a few minutes from downtown Portsmouth — but it is truly a hidden gem (with plenty of free lot parking!) The ladies who work here are talented, professional, and friendly. They use high-​quality products and styling tools, yet the pricing is very competitive. They have a selection of hair products available to purchase, along with some other goodies including locally-​made jewelry. Furthermore, they recently added manicures to their menu of services. I definitely recommend giving them a try — I don’t trust many people with my hair, but I’ve never once been disappointed with the results from Roots.
