While wandering Seattle, I spotted the bright pink Waffle Wagon truck in a small street. P asked if I was hungry and I said not really but the truck was so cute, I just had to get a picture. Even though it was raining, he made the effort and circled around and parked in front of the food truck so I could get something small to share. P and I ordered the Fried Chicken & Waffle and waited in our car as they freshly fried the chicken, which was conveniently boneless might I add(see photo) There’s something about eating yummy food in the comfort of my own car that I really enjoy and being a princess, of course, I was being fed. OMG first bite and I was obsessed. The luscious syrup between the moist fried chicken and fluffy waffle was heavenly. Sweet and savory, umm yes please. I’m somewhat willing to drive back from LA just for chicken and waffles. Just kidding. Maybe. I want to try everything.

I ate for the 1st time at the WW and had the Strawberry Shortcake. It was fantastic! The waffle was crispy on the outside soft and fluffy on the inside. The whipped cream was divine! The owner was so nice and friendly, the service was great. I definitely recommend trying them! My hubby also had the Baked Potato Waffle, he loved it. But I lean more for the sweet and it satisfied my sweet tooth!

I got the chicken and waffles. Didn’t have to wait very long for food, but it was rather expensive for not getting that much food. Two tiny pieces of chicken on top of a waffle is not worth $ 10. The waffle was good maybe the chicken and waffles is not the way to go.

I want to try the Out of Africa waffle and the Bunny Chow(carrot cake) waffle, but I love the Strawberries and Cream waffle so much I haven’t branched out yet! Can’t wait ’til they roll my way again. I love this pink truck.

The Waffle Wagon comes to Microsoft every week. I often avail myself of the food truck options for lunch when I can’t go out and had a friend of mine talk me into giving it a try. The staff was friendly and you could see that they kept their small work area very clean despite the long line they had. I ordered the standard Chicken and Waffles. I figured this was a good start with this truck. The portions were on the small side. I ordered two like they suggested and was left wishing there were more chicken on my waffles. The chicken was fried of course but didn’t particularly stand out like other places I’ve had chicken and waffles in the south. I use to live there for a number of years so I do know what good fried chicken is suppose to taste like. This was alright but nothing to write home about. The real question is will I go back? Probably but only if there isn’t another option and I don’t have time to go out. It wasn’t bad per se just it didn’t capture me like it should. There were other options but if you can’t get the basics right then I’m not really enticed to try more.

I bought a potato skin waffle today and surprised by the size. How small it is! In addition, the waffle and bacons sparked over the waffle were burned out. Where is the potato? I can just see small sour cream, cheese and a few bacons. However, it costed 7.5 bucks. I don’t understand how this sloppy, small and burned waffle could get these high ratings.

Yes. Good. I take my waffles very seriously and Waffle Wagon delivered. The waffles themselves were delicious(very fluffy, not at all rigid or crisp — I like them either way). I had the«wafflewich» which is a waffle breakfast sandwich — two waffle halves sandwiching a giant(almost too large) scrambled egg blob, a healthy portion of bacon, and cheese. Little bit of syrup drizzled for good measure. It was excellent. The syrup added some flavor without making it too messy to eat with your hands/fingers. My only quibble is that the egg squeezed out of the sandwich a bit, leaving me with a large chunk of(rather bland) scrambled egg to eat with a fork when I was done. I also had an order of «squaffles» — a smaller portion of waffle chopped into squares and served in a bag as a snack, dusted with confectioner’s sugar. Everything was good and I look forward to trying the rest of the menu. Hope they come back to our campus!

Waffle Wagon is a new food truck that specializes in waffles in the same way that there are creperies. I guess you can call this truck a wafflerie then. There are a selection of sweet and savory waffles to choose from here. I had first come across this truck at the Kirkland Uncorked event, but seeing the long lines decided to skip it. The truck made an appearance a couple days later at a food truck event at Crossroads Farmers Market, so I decided to give it a try then. This truck was quite popular at the event. There was about a 15 minute wait for my waffle. But the truck was able to get orders out at a good clip and the staff is friendly here. The menu is revolving so check their Facebook webpage to see what is available. I would say there were about a half dozen choices when I visited. I decided to try the Potato Skins Waffle($ 7). The batter for this waffle is made from potato while the toppings are what you would expect in a fully loaded baked potato. With ingredients like bacon bits, cheese and sour cream, of course this waffle was darn good. As far as filling you up, this would serve well as a snack or light meal. You will probably need a food side to fill you up completely. The product here is good, though I would like to see maybe one or two more savory choices. Waffles don’t seem to scream me as a substantial sort of meal. Maybe they can take it to the next level and offer a waffle sandwich a la Bruxie? That would take this truck to the next level.

I happened to run across the Waffle Wagon food truck on my lunch break a couple weeks ago and decided to give their waffle a try. Boy, was I glad I did. I ordered their Monkey Chow waffle and it was one of the best food items I have ever eaten. I was able to track them down a few days later using their Facebook page and tried their Bunny Chow waffle and was again incredibly impressed. That thing was delicious! Wait time was pretty quick for being super-slammed on both occasions. Very pleasant and cheerful staff. I highly recommend you try them out.

I was just leaving the Kirkland Post Office when I noticed a bright pink trunk parked across the street. There was a steady stream of customers, but never a long line. The menu choices were written on a chalkboard to the side of the window so you could study the options without getting on the way of people ordering. Wednesday’s menu included two savory(bacon, egg, cheese, waffle-wich and the shepard’s pie) and two sweet choices(strawberries & cream and bunny chow with carrot cake waffle). I ordered one savory and one sweet not realizing that each of these stand as full fledged meals themselves. Bring a coworker and share. The bacon waffle-which had a nice thick waffle cut in half and used as the sandwich top bottom to hold several strips of jumbo bacon, melted cheddar cheese and a nicely formed block of egg omelet. Syrup was drizzled in the sandwich and added the needed punch that brought it all together. I wasn’t brave enough to pick up this sandwich concoction, so I used the provided serving kit of fork, knife and napkin to eat my meal without making a mess. If you have a hankering for a breakfast sandwich, give this a whirl. You won’t be disappointed. Foolishly, I also ordered the strawberries & cream which were served on top of a full size waffle. The strawberries were fresh and sliced into manageable bite-sized bits. The cream was fluffy, but not sweet at all. There was a light dusting of powder sugar which did more for presentation than taste. Although a decent treat, I would try something else the next time. Actually the bacon waffle-which had just the right amount of syrup. It satisfied both my need for savory and sweet. The savory dishes were $ 8.50 and the sweet dishes were $ 5.50. All items are served in an earth-friendly, biodegradeable, container that you can take with you. Because my order was so large(2 containers), the owner was nice enough to put both containers in a previously used, Safeway, plastic grocery bag. I applaud their efforts to do the right thing with the containers and bags, but I think they could eliminate the need for these containers and the plastic silverware sets by serving smaller portions and making the waffle into a smaller pocket bread container that can be held in one hand. Only a paper piece would be needed to hand the item to the customer. I’ve seen this successfully done by a food truck in Hawaii called Whatcha Fillin’ where no containers or utensils are required. In addition, portions are smaller and cheaper which attracts more customers.

I was excited to hear that Waffle Wagon would be hanging at South Lake Union. I had seen pictures of the truck and loved the design! The truck was easy to find(it’s pink) and the line wasn’t too long yet because the lunch rush was just getting started. I would say about 6 people were waiting for their waffles and two people were in line in front of me. Before coming to the truck, I reviewed the menu online. Actually, I reviewed the entire website and I found it to be very well done for not just a new truck, but any food truck. It was easy to navigate and very helpful. I liked that the website explained that not every menu item would be available each day. However, I wasn’t expecting that of 9 menu items listed online(5 sweet, 4 savory), only 4 would be available(2 sweet, 2 savory). I was excited about the sweet choices today, which were: * Strawberries and Cream — Buttermilk Waffle topped with fresh strawberries & whipped cream * Monkey Chow — Buttermilk Waffle, Nutella spread and fresh sliced banana’s with whipped cream and chopped almonds on top. Although I was very excited about those choices, I was actually looking for savory choices for lunch. I’ll save the sweet ones for another time. The savory choices today were: * Out of Africa — Buttermilk Waffle with creamy Swiss, scrambled egg, special sauce and caramelized onions. * Shepherd’s Pie — Potato Waffle topped with a mixture of organic ground beef, carrots, onions and savory spices, garnished with a sour cream topping and fresh green onion. I wasn’t terribly excited about Out of Africa; I decided to go with Shepard’s Pie since the potato waffle sounded interesting. For $ 8.50, I got my lunch and walked a block away to sit down and eat. First, I tried each ingredient separately. The waffle was crisp outside and tender inside. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a potato waffle but I have to say that it was tasty. The meat mixture had just the right amount of spice and the carrots were not overcooked(which I was afraid of). After I tried everything, I mixed the beef mixture with the sour cream and ate it with the waffle. At that point, the sour cream neutralized the right amount of spice and it became fairly bland. The waffle held up fairly well and didn’t begin to get soggy until 80% or so of it was gone. I thought I would be full after that and I wasn’t. I actually went to another truck and ate more food. I was a little disappointed by that since it wasn’t cheap. Customer service was good. I felt like I didn’t wait too long either to order or for my food. I felt things were moving efficiently. There were two women in the truck and they seemed to be handling things well. Before the truck opened, I think a good buzz was created on social media sites. I felt well informed about when the truck was opening and the schedule. I visited the truck again and got the Strawberries-n-Cream(Buttermilk Waffle topped with fresh strawberries & real whipped cream). I liked that I was able to try the buttermilk waffle since I tried the potato before. The strawberries were unbelievably fresh. The whipped cream was of great quality but a small portion. The waffle was cooked perfectly! That was a good waffle. Those are the three ingredients, which made for a dry waffle. The challenge is that sauce will make the waffle soggy. The other option is what I got. Good, but clearly lacking the addition of some sort of sauce that would have made it a great dish as opposed to an okay one.
