Although new to Unilocal,we have been going to Ristorante Paradiso for many years. It must be 13 – 14 years ago. It is our restaurant of choice when taking friends to eat. It is essential when we have out of state guests. We even booked tables for 15 people when we took a group out for our 15th anniversary. The food is perfection 97% of the time. My most loved item on the menu has a white wine sauce that has had some variation. We tend to go just ahead of the crowd and it is the best restaurant ever for excellent food that all guests consistently think exceptional… and a super place for conversation.

We have been to a lot of Italian restaurants internationally, this one did not measure up. There was no homely, family atmosphere which Italian restaurants are known for. –Waiter did not engage with us(–1star) –The potions were small, very small(–1star) –Ordered Cappuccino, no sugar on the table, waiter did not bother to ask .(-1star) –Food had no flavor, was too salty.(-1star) The location and the décor is great but that’s not why we go to restaurants. We love good food and supporting family owned businesses . This one was disappointing.

Dine Around Seattle 3 courses for $ 18.00 lunch. my caprese salad tomatoes were a weak pinkish color and still green at the core. the mozarella could have been cut from a plastic vac tube. the rock fish was dry and tough, smothered and overwhelmed by chunky tomatoes and too much greek olives. the pana cotta was good. the bread(sticks) were a favorite. they were yeasty and soft but not mushy like the olive garden bread sticks. pollo al limone looked much better than my fish of the day. crespelle ricotta e spinaci was declared bland. 2 out of 3 liked the tiramisu. this restaurant has been open«forever». maybe the non-DAR menu is better? service was good. water glasses were refilled and each course timed well for delivery.

Ordered a Diet Coke. «We’re out». What? Go to the store and get some. I get up walk next door and buy 8 diet cokes and am back in 2 minutes(party of 10). Inattentive service. Bruschetta was some of the worst I’ve ever had. Gnochetti was lackluster and unimpressive. Fish of the day was overly fishy. Very disappointing. No Diet Coke? Really

I got to share the gnocchi, lasagna, gorgonzola pasta, veal in demi glacé sauce, and salmon on a family dinner celebration. The clear favorites were the gorgonzola pasta and the veal. They were so good that after having major cravings for them the following day, I even tried to unsuccessfully look up similar recipes online to try to replicate. I will just have to come back again to try these delightful two dishes.

We live in Kirkland and have eaten here many times. Food is consistently good and the service very attentive(especially with Kristie) The rolls they bring out to start with are so yummy they should not be legal :-) Fun dining outside weather permitting There is no bar per-se and they serve only beer and wine

We came over to Kirkland on our boat for dinner last week — classic Seattle summer night! I haven’t eaten at Paradiso in a long, long time and wasn’t very impressed with our food. I ordered the halibut special — after asking if there were any left and the waiter confirmed. About 10 – 15 minutes after we ordered the waiter came back and said that someone had scooped up the last one. We had only seen a couple people seated after we were, so wondering if he forgot to log our order or something? I ordered the cioppino instead and had to send it back — the mussells were fishy and most of them weren’t opened all the way! Such a bummer. Then when we got our bill the cioppino was still on there so we had to go in and ask them to remove it… which they did but we shouldn’t have to ask! Service was great, food wasn’t anything to make me go back.

Came by for restaurant week, would say it’s a good and safe choice :] Not sure if I’d come back for restaurant week here, but would still say it’s worth dropping by! Bresaola, Rucola e Grana — 4⁄5. Plate of thinly sliced meat with some veg and shaved parmesan and a delicious lemon vinagrette. What I liked is that the veg(arugula?) wasn’t soaked in the dressing and it was easy to get a complete bite of meat, veg, cheese and dressing. Cannelloni Gratinati — 4⁄5. Pasta Crepes Stuffed w/Ground Veal, Chicken, Mozzarella, Tomato & Besciamelle Sauce. Pretty yummy, was a bit saucier than I expected and definitely cheesier than I expected! Panna Cotta(vanilla) — 5⁄5. Delicious panna cotta that used actual vanilla beans and had a strong(but not overpowering) vanilla taste. Would definitely recommend this as a dessert!

I’ve eaten at Ristorante Paradiso several times with my wife in the past. It’s one of our favorite places to have a *nice* dinner in Kirkland. They never fail to make us happy with their delicious food! My wife and I ate here last night for Seattle Restaurant week. We each had a three course meal, and we both LOVED it! In contrast to many Restaurant Week menus, RP has a LOT to choose from on their $ 33 menu. I started with a salad(??) that was basically thinly sliced meat, arugula and cheese. It was excellent. My wife loved her tomato soup. For entrees I had the gnocchi with sausage which was DELICIOUS and way too much to eat. My wife had pork tenderloins which she described as «wonderful.» My 18 year old son had the lasagna, and I know it was amazing because he ate the whole damned thing. I had something called«chocolate decadence» for dessert and my wife had the tiramasu. While both portions were quite small, we both loved them. In addition we shared a half carafe of the house chianti which went perfectly with the meal. RP remains one of our favorite places to eat in Kirkland. Go eat there soon, since they need some patronage during the construction. The sidewalk by the restaurant is open.

I came here on a Saturday night with a very large group and the staff here handled us incredibly well. I was in a party of 18 that had just come from wine tasting all day so some people were a little more… distracted than others. Our waitress was attentive and patient and got everyone’s order right. We did have to wait quite a while for food, but that was to be expected with 18 people. The food itself was great, my wife loved her lasagna(although she also loves the costco frozen lasagna) and I had the stuffed chicken breast, which was cooked perfect and the sauce on it was great. I was really impressed by the food and staff and definitely will be back.

As Unilocal would say, this place is A-OK. The service is usually good, the ambiance is great for kids and adults, and the bread that they serve when you sit down is soooo delicious and warm. Try the Cioppino, canaloni or the past paridiso with salmon. The best thing about this joint is that they will make anything you want, even if it’s not on the menu! I always order chicken parm and it’s wonderful.

I knew we were in trouble when they brought the bread to the table with butter instead of oil and vinegar. As it turns out, the bread was the best part of the meal. I knew that sausage with linguini in a cream sauce was either going to be really good or really weird. Unfortunately, it was really weird. My wife picked the pasta primavera, because she wanted something light and fresh. An hour later, she wishes she could get the taste out of her mouth. The service was pleasant, but if this is what passes for«fine dining» in Kirkland, I’ll pass.

Was invited here for a celebration dinner. Basically your standard average Italian restaurant. Atmosphere, food, drinks, and service were all good but nothing truely memorable. I wouldn’t turn my nose up at it if someone suggested going there again but I know of many other amazing Italian places I’d go to given the option.

The wife and I visited this charming little restaurant in the heart of Kirkland on our anniversary. It is a place we had often walked by making a mental note to visit on a special occasion. We were not disappointed. Being a Monday afternoon, there wasn’t much of a crowd and the hostess seated us by the window so we could soak in the warmth of the sun. The place itself is unpretentious and simple, with crisp clean table cloths and minimal wall art. The food was spectacular. We had the day’s special — rosemary stuffed ravioli in pink sauce, fetucini Alfredo and the lemon chicken. The ravioli was bursting with flavors and the sauce was delish. So much so that we requested if the Alfredo sauce could be replaced with the pink sauce, which the chef kindly obliged — bonus points for that! The lemon chicken was soft and juicy and the veggies that accompanied it were just as flavorful in the lemon butter sauce. When it was time for our check, the hostess treated us with tiramisu that had a candle on it — how sweet and thoughtful! Overall, a little gem in Kirkland. Great place for a romantic meal.

Lunch for Seattle restaurant week. Seated immediately since we had a reservation. Served warm garlic breadsticks. Nice until they cooled down. Choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert. Mixed salad: good portion of greens, grape tomatoes and a few slivers of mushrooms. Dressing was a light vinaigrette and olive oil. Very tasty and greens were fresh. Fish: poached sole on penne pasta. Sauce was diced tomato, capers and Greek olives. Fish was done perfectly. Full marks because it was a thin slice and it could have been easily overdone. Flavor was a little bland on its own. Greek olives were a little overpowering for this dish. Pasta was al dente. Doubt I would order this again. Tiramisu for dessert: lovely texture, not too heavy. Coffee flavor great. Not too sweet. Will be back for this. Service was attentive. They were nice enough to reseat us before entrees were served. The table next to us were too loud for us to even hear ourselves think. Who would have imagined two elderly ladies could be so loud! Restaurant décor: well thought out and tasteful. Room temperature: comfortable. Bathroom: clean and well lit. Parking: 3 hours free in the lot around the corner.

We came here for lunch during the Seattle Restaurant week. The price was right($ 15 for 3 courses). I stayed with the Caprese, which had a really nice balsamic reduction. The mozzarella was firm, but a little bland. It could have benefited with a saltier brine. For my main entrée, I had the lasagne with slices of ham inside. At first, I thought the portion was a bit small, but although it was more delicate than other lasagnes I’ve had elsewhere, it turned out to be just the right size. The flavor was good, not too salty as lasagnes can sometimes be. The Panna cotta for dessert was excellent! The texture was smooth, and the Coulée had just enough sweetness and tartness to bring out the subtle flavoring of the dessert. It was a very nice finish to a great lunch. The only downside to the lunch were the two LOUD women seated at the nearby table. After 5 minutes of hearing their loud voices, we asked to be re-seated somewhere else in the restaurant. Even across the entire restaurant, we could still hear their voices! Despite this annoyance, I would come back here again.

I love their linguine alle vongole. the clam in marinara sauce is excellent. also makes a great garlic bread. small/quiet place, decent wine choices tho i’m almost always BYO. good for a casual dinner. not sure if it’s big enough to support a larger group. Servers/host always helpful in arranging tables etc.
