Horrible service! We got there at 7pm on a Friday and had to wait in the bar for our table. No big deal. The guy in the bar areas was awesome about getting us drinks. Once we were sat however things went down hill. We were a group of 5 in which we agreed to Smush into a booth given we had already waited 25 min. Once sat our waiter gave us water and asked if we wanted more drinks, then disappeared! We had to ask the host to take our order eventually as we were starving and had been waiting over 20 min! We even put our menus at the end of the table to signal the waiter, but got no response. Once we got our food our server never offered to refill our drinks nor did he come back to the table until we stopped him asking for the check. Horrible service aside, the food was really good. The lamb burger was cooked perfectly and the truffle fries are amazing. Prices are a bit high for what you get, especially their craft cocktail prices. Overall the foods what pushed me to a 3 star instead of 2.

I’ve been to this place twice, once for dinner with a group and once for drinks with a date. Both times, service and drinks were amazing. The food of everyone in my group was also really good, well-prepared, and presented beautifully. The location is great, the décor is awesome, and the prices were fair. One teensy complaint: It is so dark in there. I know it’s supposed to be darker in nicer restaurants/bars, but jeez! I could barely see my plate the first time! Lighting aside, this is my go-to suggestion for a night out.

After reading the reviews, I couldn’t wait to take friends to Bottle & Bull. I arrived first, and was welcomed, and was able to get a great table by the window for 5. Our group tried the beets. The were great and unique. Two of our people tried and liked the unique beers. One had a coconut flavor to it. The happy hour wine was a generous pour in a nice glass. Everything was great. We had the chocolate cake desert and another desert. Our friend had a cocktail that she enjoyed. Service was wonderful. We WILL be back.

This accidental find has fast become one of my favorite spots. The place is pure class. Relaxed vibe but exquisite offerings. Divine steak tartare, truffle fries, mussels, and lamb burgers. That’s all the food menu I’ve made it through so far but each has been incredible so I’m excited to explore the rest. The bartender’s are artisans, each drink is an event of its own. Their hot buttered rum is a unique masterpiece. And the people, everyone I’ve interacted with there has just been a joy. The place is small and packed tight but everyone makes you feel like you’re the only one there. And you can tell they believe in what they serve there and are happy you’re there experiencing it all as well. A special thanks to Ashley, who, on my second trip there had the misfortune of answering the phone when I called, standing in front of Starbucks with a GoogleMaps that was taking the night off, and asking for help finding them again. She actually walked out into the cold and drizzle and headed towards the Starbucks and escorted me into the restaurant. Now That, that is above and beyond. I’ve only been a handful of times, but it’s definitely made the top of my list. I’ll be introducing the Bottle & Bull to all of my friends, every chance I get.

I’ve been to Bottle & Bull a couple times now… usually one item is GOOD and then the rest are meh. Parking: Waterfront Kirkland street parking. Sometimes you’re lucky, sometimes you aren’t. Evenings on weekdays are generally ok and it’s an under 5 min walk into the restaurant. Service: I’ve always had very attentive service here where my waiter/waitress is supported by 2 others who pour water or check in on me. Food: Hm, this is a toss up. Last night specifically we ordered the Steak Tartare($ 16), the mushroom ravioli($ 25) and the lamb burger($ 15). The Steak Tartare was the main hit of the night. It was presented beautifully with toasted bread slices, the steak tartare in the middle with a quail yolk on top(meh), pickled onions and fennel on the side. All the pieces blended great together and it was a super choice for an appetizer. Then things went downhill. The mushroom ravioli wasn’t bad per se… it just had a overwhelming vinegar taste and it was really oily. The cook overdid it on both of those items and it kind of ruined it for us. The ravioli itself, before all the sauces, was great. The mushroom filling was delicious(once you got past the vinegar). Now let me talk about this lamb burger, because it was BAD. I got it cooked medium rare, that was fine. The lamb ITSELF was fine. But my bun was the most deflated thing I’d ever seen. They didn’t even bother to toast it?! That’s the lazy ass stuff I do when I’m home online eating for 1. My burger was accompanied by maybe 1 lettuce slice and tomato confit. I get the idea it’s trying to be bougie(«tomato confit»)…but the texture was so mushy it might as well have been a sloppy joe. I only ate ½ that’s how disappointed I was.

I just found my new favorite spot in Kirkland. Cocktails are surprisingly hard to find on the east side, but this place has them in spades. The food is unique, delicious, and reasonably priced considering the location. The décor is warm with dark wood and an orange-lit bar. I had the duck confit flatbread, truffle fries, and steak tartare, all of which were delicious and satisfying. I strongly recommend the steak tartare, the helping was generous and came with some great accompaniments. If you’re looking to break away from Purple or any of the slew of Mexican joints in the area, Bottle & Bull is definitely worth a try.

We come during«Happy Hour» for the Bar Burger. Always great with the Sprites. Great mix of seasonings on everything we have tried and the service is always good.

Great Location. Bartender Joe was very patient and nice. Opened minded to create two requested drinks from the recipes on my phone. Great place to get a cocktail

Food, Cocktails, and Beer Options: We love the beer and Cocktails here. There’s a great selection that will please even the biggest alcohol snob(like us)! The old fashioned cocktails all have a nice modern twist, and there’s always a beer on the list that you’ve never tried before. It’s delightful. The food is good, but nothing to write home about(we’ve had the burger, lamb burger, a salad, truffle fries, and onion strings… The onion strings were the best, but I don’t think they do them anymore). Service: This was tonight’s MAJOR downfall. We sat down, and ordered pretty quickly. Our first round was good, but when we wanted another beer we tried and tried to catch our server’s attention. It was over half an hour after we finished off our first beers that we finely grabbed the busser and asked him for another round. That took a while to come. Then, we wanted more food, but still couldn’t get any service. Finally, we stood up and flagged down our server and asked for the check. We were there for over two hours and our server only took our order and came back to deliver the check(thanks to our prompting). Not nearly enough service. We would have ordered more, stayed longer, and enjoyed ourselves more had the service not been so abysmal. Worst part of all that, they were only moderately busy… Can’t imagine how bad it could be on a packed out night!

«Yay, I am a fan.» :) Went on a date and we wanted to take a little bit of a drive out of Seattle and try something new. So why not go over to Kirkland! Found Bottle & Bull on Unilocal and thought, hey this place sounds great! We shared a bottle of merlot for the table. A little expensive for the level of wine. For food we started with the Steak Tartare, and it melted in my mouth. The manager delivered the appetizer for us and let us know the best way that he likes to eat it is be mixing in all of the ingredients and just going after it(he did warn us that capers made it a little saltier than some liked). My date got the hamburger, which you NEED to try! It is made with ¾ wagyu beef. Literally one of the best hamburgers i’ve tried and they have been acknowledged for this burger! I got the steak of the day(NY Strip), cooked to perfection(for me: medium), with smashing mashed potatoes! Atmosphere: was quite and welcoming(sunday night.) Service was a little slow, especially since it was not packed. It is a little out of the way, but i would go back for that burger!

We met a friend for a catch up, nibbles, and a drink. The tall booths were fun, and offered some privacy as we caught up on life. The food was tasty, and paired well with the drinks. Nothing that I fainted over, but we had the steak frites and a salad, and were happy. Drink menu is good, lots of options, and a good, well chosen, if not extensive by the glass list.

Loved the atmosphere! Trendy, warm cozy industrial feel. Busy on Friday night around 8 so for 3 people they seated us 2 at the bar by the kitchen with one standing. Not ideal but we dealt with it. Would have stayed there longer had they seated us at a table when it opened up. Ordered a Mint Julep and didn’t like it(found out I don’t like whiskey) and they replaced it with a Moscow Mule. LOVED it! $ 10-$ 14 per drink if I remember correctly. Would return for drinks and cool atmosphere!

Blame it on the heatwave, but I don’t understand restaurants that don’t have AC. It should just be a given. That being said, some friends and I had dinner here the other night and it was SO hot inside. The front windows were open, but it wasn’t enough relief. –1 star for serving warm water instead of ice water(we had to ask for ice) and –1 star for the food, which was just ok. The cubano was pretty lackluster and didn’t have any discernible flavor profile, but the burger was apparently decent. At least the fries were tasty.

I’m a new fan of Bottle & Bull. I’d been meaning to try it for some time but just made it in this week. We went for a later dinner on a Thursday night and there was a great vibe. The bar is full, the bartenders are engaged and look like they are having fun. I love a place where the staff looks like they enjoy their job. We opted for a table since we wanted to eat dinner. The waitress approached us right away for drink orders and walked us through the menu and gave us some suggestions on her favorites which were: steak tartare, steak frites and the cuban. We both ordered a moscow mule to start and while this is a pretty typical drink, the one here blew us out of the water! It had the perfect blend of refreshing fizz, zing from ginger and a lot of bartender magic. I could drink those all day! For dinner we got the steak frites and the cuban. Both of the them were perfectly portioned. The food was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, the cuban was delightful and the french fries fantastic. I will be sure to add this to the restaurant rotation and I can’t wait for another moscow mule!

5 stars out the gate for an OVERALL great experience AND good food. I met up with an ex co worker here to engage in hours of industry gossip. She had been here before so she suggested that we meet here. This has nothing to do with the restaurant, but the lack of parking in the area sucks ass. But this area of Kirkland reminds of Laguna Beach, CA so it will suck ass for all eternity. After you’re over playing snake the spot with other drivers, it will save you the heartache to park in the neighborhood up Kirlkand Ave and walk a little. As I walked toward where I thought the restaurant was, I noticed that the place could use some pedestrian signage. The restaurant has a rustic/cozy feel to it, not that it’s especially small, but it’s dark-ish feeling… perfect for unadulterated office gossip. For starters we had the steak tartare with capers, shallots, quail egg, chilies, herbs, dijon, and rye bread. I ordered a pint of Sun Thief, Kristallweizen style brew from Black Raven in Redmond. The draft beers offered consisted of a nice list full of PNW brews as well as a couple from France and Montana. We shared our entrees of smoked pork Loin w/mango salsa, corn frituras as well as the grilled asparagus with a kind of hollandaise-ish sauce and bacon bits. For dessert, we shared the sinfully delicous chocolate stout cake w/malted ice cream. The pork loin was a tad bit drier than I would have like but the corn frituras were a perfect complement to the pork. The grilled asparagus was very good. The chocolate cake was the best I’ve ever had in my life I think, but the teensy dollop of malt ice cream made me a sad panda. I would recommend getting a second scoop if you are sharing. We had an amazing server! I didn’t catch her name but she has a lovely bird tattoo on her left upper arm. She was really nice, accommodating, and helpful with all the questions we had. She had opinions and recommendations. The hostess was great, too. I’d come here again in a heartbeat should I find myself in this part of Kirkland again. It was my first time around here and I was pleasantly surprised to have such an awesome experience here.

Came in on a Sunday around 1230 and there was no line and a few tables were open. We were immediately greeted by our waiter and promptly seated. I ordered the pork belly benedict which came with roasted potatoes as well. The benedict had 2 poached eggs and was served on a large slice of brioche bread. The eggs benedict portion of my meal was pretty much what I was looking for. The real star of the plate were surprisingly the potatoes. They were seasoned well and had a nice snap to the outer side but inside was nice and soft. I really liked how they put slices of red bell pepper to the potatoes as well.

Really amazing service and food. Had the steak tartare(my favorite) and amazing chop salad, pickled eggs, and pomme frites. I ate at the bar and watch the chef as they made many dishes during rush hour. Super loud but exciting and entertaining! Will definitely be coming back for amazing food and I want to try the crispy skin king salmon and roasted asparagus with truffle aioli!

Wow! I’m completely blown away!!! ***Ambience: this place is inviting the moment you spot it on the sidewalk. Once inside, I was ogling at the beautiful dark wood floors and tables. The light fixtures were bold and lit everything up just enough, there is a clear view of the kitchen in the back, the bar chairs looked lush and comfortable and there was such a buzz about everything… it was packed on a Wednesday night!!! This is where everybody is! ***Service: upon entering we were immediately greeted by the bartender and told the host would be back to get us a table(so attentive!!!). We only had to wait two minutes until we were seated. Our waitress was incredibly pleasant and answered all of our questions in a perfectly timed manner. During our dinner service, the timing on our drinks and food were expertly spread out and she made sure to check on us periodically. ***Drinks: I had one of their daiquiri’s; wonderfully tart and balanced… totally worth the price tag. My friend had a Rum and Coke; a healthy amount of booze to coke ratio. Their signature cocktail menu looks incredible too! ***Food: –Oysters w/Pomegranate Granita($ 3 each): I’m a HUGEFAN of oysters and have NEVER had something like this paired with them… such a nice take on vinegar. It was sweet and didn’t overpower the taste of the oyster. –Pom Frites w/Garlic Aoili($ 5): Such a deal for this huge portion of fresh, hot and well-made fries. We LOVED their garlic aoili and the waitress also brought over their house-made raspberry ketchup. ***Price: very fair for what we ordered. I paid about $ 22 for my drink and all of the food. I can’t WAIT to come back here for their dinner service and to sit at the bar. This is my new spot!!! Thank you Kirkland for FINALLY putting a good spot like this on the boulevard.

We came here for brunch, and I love the laid-back-but-still-fancy atmosphere and the Hemmingway inspirations in this space. Even though we came on mid-morning Sunday, we were seated promptly, which was good as we had been told that we didn’t need a reservation for more than 4 people. The papas bravas were delicious, and came with a spicy marionberry dip, which was flavorful but I like my potatoes plain. My friends liked it though! I had the Roman Gnocchi which was creamy and delicious with the mushroom gravy, and with the eggs on top it was a really filling meal. The cubano panini was also really tasty, and was a generous portion size. Oddly, the drink menu seemed a bit inconsistent – there was a house ginger soda you could get with a shot of alcohol in it for $ 9, or you could get the Moss Bay Mule, which had the same ingredients for a dollar more. What? There’s otherwise a good selection, but this bit seemed weird. Service was good, with the staff being friendly and accommodating for our food requests. We were checked on regularly without it getting annoying, our water bottle was checked and refilled regularly and we didn’t feel rushed with our meals at all. Parking can be scarce in DT Kirkland, but we parked a few blocks up at the Mosaic and walked down. We might have to do that again because I want to eat my way through the rest of the menu!
