I went to Aria for lunch and ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich. It took about 15 minutes for the to prepare the sandwich. During my wait, I browsed to see what else they had. Nothing really appealed to me. The had cheesecakes that seemed to be bought from another store like Costco, not baked there at Aria. They had cookies that looked good. Might come back to try, maybe. The bread looked interesting so I purchased a Sangak. Finally my sandwich was ready, so I took it back to work so I can eat it. At my first bite, all I could was olives and the subsequent bites that followed was mostly of olive taste, barely any chicken. The chicken that was in the sandwich was dry and the BBQ sauce was minimal and tasted like it came out a can. I wasted my money, I would have been getter off going to the Mediterranean Kitchen for a Chicken Shawarma. The Sangak was ok, but not to my liking, too chewy.

Really tasty sangak! No idea about the other breads, but I came for just sangak and was satisfied: D

Weird service been there a couple times they have been closed during business hours. Good bread but you better like what they like to bake that day.

Love the bread… the sweets not so much. Never tried the pizza. Best Iranian bread in town, ask for what is freshly made and get that. When the sangak or barbari is fresh, it’s the best south of Vancouver BC and north of San Fran(IMHO)

This is the only place in WA that I know of that bakes fresh Barbari bread and Sangak bread. I also love their pastries, especially the Roulade(rollette), puff pastries, and Zoolbia and Bamieh.

The sangak bread is excellent! For someone who considers bread as just a side, it was a pleasant surprise to find out that some breads can elevate a meal.

The daily fresh baked bread is just wickedly awesome. There goes my plan to stay off bread. We live nearby and it is convenient to drop by every other week to pick up the weekly ration. We cut the flat bread in smaller pieces and freas it up in small bags.

Unique bakery in Kirkland producing Persian bread, desserts and yes, pizza. This strip mall near Kirkland’s car dealerships is becoming something of a little Persia, with Aria, Rumi restaurant and Sahand Persian market all clustered in the same area. I like the flatbreads to go with dips like hummus or baba ghanoush. They have a round flatbread that’s perfect for homemade pizza too. The breads are delicious and the staff is friendly enough to explain all their products. Sweet baked goods are a nice treat, including a version of baklava. Try some of the unique beverages like a pulpy fruit soda or salty yogurt drink. It’s a fun place to explore and try some new things.

So excited to find this lovely bakery/pizza place. I walked in thinking I’d check out the breads and to those of us who are new to these, I am enchanted. Beautiful long loaves that are nothing like bread as I’ve known it. I was greeted by a very helpful guy who told me the nuances and I chose a loaf. I ordered a pizza since that’s what all the Unilocalers have talked about, and watched him make my custom order, along with a couple pizzas called in. Careful skillful and meticulous all come to mind. I added a pound of homemade baklava to my order, to share at the office tomorrow. The pizza is yummy, different and savory in a unique way. Check this spot out!

The bread and pastries are really good. The sandwich is also great, but the pizza wasn’t that good.

This place is tucked away in a corner so you may have some difficulty finding it. The food is very authentic. I had their cookies, which were good, tried their zatar pizza, which was fresh but I wish they had more zatar and less cheese to make it more authentic. I tried their baklava but I’m not a fan. What really shone was their delicious flat breads. It was just delicious. It was great after 2 days, you just need to spritze it with a little water. I’ll definitely be back.

The bread here is fantastic. Shaped into big sheets, freshly baked, and hung to cool all before your eyes. A fascinating process. I can’t pretend to understand all the differences between all of the breads on the menu. I just picked up one that had been freshly baked and placed into a bag from the counter. It looked like it had been made with whole wheat and that was good enough for me. I also ordered pizza to go. My first plan was to get a large or medium and split it into pepperoni and manoshi(zaatar, feta, and olives), but apparently that was too difficult to do. I had a hard time communicating at all so just opted for the simpler but more expensive option of ordering separate small pizzas. The pizzas themselves were only ok. Not the best pizza crust and they were oily. I did really like the flavor combination of the manoshi, but I had forgotten to ask them to leave off the cheese(I can’t even imagine how hard that would have been to communicate) and it then sat in my stomach like a stone. Too heavy and because it was a whole pizza I now had several slices to finish… They also have some nice looking Iranian cookies/pastries here and spreads/dips like baba ghanouj and hummus. I bought something that sounded very unique Haleem, which is a porridge made out of wheat and turkey breast. Weird but you can’t tell that there is meat in there at all(except for a bit of a savoriness). This makes an excellent start to your morning once you warm it up. Don’t be afraid to add sugar to make it sweet. It already has cinnamon in it. Or you can make it into a savory breakfast porridge by adding an egg/avocado/herbs. I’ll give this a 3 star for now. Not only was the pizza not as good as I was hoping for(considering that amazing oven), but the service was also extremely slow and awkward. I’ll definitely be back though for that amazing bread.

This place is neat. Thanks John Q for recommending it. I got a few things. I started with the Persian Neapolitan it was crispy and sweet with lots of cream very good. I also got the sweet bread with sesame it was still hot out of the oven and was a great not to sweet dessert. I also got their huge flat bread that was really chewy and full of flavor. I was expecting kind of a neutral flat naan bread but this was totally different. You just have to try it. It would be great with some Hummus or Lentil soup or a curry.

My first experience with an Iranian Bakery. I’m a fan. We got a loaf of Barberi and some Eggplant spread to munch while we waited for our Aria Special Pizza to be made. It was a good thing we were grazing and being entertained by the bread baking process because they took a long time to bake the pizza. The bread and spread were delicious. It’ll become a regular treat. The pizza was very good but I was unfamiliar with the exotic tastes of the Iranian spices, so it took a while to get comfortable with it. I’ll call ahead for pizza in the future.

Delicious pizza. The ghormeh sabzi pizza is super unique and delicious. I would have it every day :) Thin crust and just yummy. We also tried the Aria pizza and Mediterranean pizza. Both great. Loved the Mediterranean one specially because it has eggplant and tomato with feta cheese. The sandwiches are great too in sangak bread. A must try if you are in the area.
