Let me start by saying we went here twice this weekend and experienced poor service both times. The food was great and would get at 4 – 5 star review on its own, but the service was downright bad. The first time, we arrived to see two open tables on one side and the other side completely open. We didn’t get seated or greeted for 10 minutes and no apologies were made. We were seated at last, only to be asked to move. That wasn’t a problem. We were then rushed to order because the kitchen was closing, never mind that it took them 10 minutes to seat us and another 5 minutes to get our water order. We had to ask multiple times. The food, however, was delicious and we decided to give them a second chance. We came back and the service was terrible. We had a party of 8 and had two orders of coffee. They were brought to us with the server placing them on a ledge behind the table so we’d have to move to reach it rather than bringing it to the table. The server then proceeded to deliver two plates while reaching right across my face. Her arm was literally less than half an inch from my eyes and she did not apologize or excuse herself. She then refilled piping hot coffee by reaching and pouring it above my lap for someone across the table and her hand was not steady. I was surprised she only splashed a little on my lap. For a supposedly warm local favorite, it was disappointing to have poor service and to see it both times.

Excellent brunch with potent mimosas. Super friendly staff and a big comfy waiting room upstairs. Highly recommend the homemade muffins.

We were in the Log Cabin on Wednesday. The food was excellent and the staff was amazing. Our waitress, Haley, tended to our every need even though they were so busy. She, in between having to take care of her customers and cleaning tables had to deal with a very rude woman at the front but she kept her cool and dealt with her with grace. It is nice to experience a young woman with such class, your establishment should be very proud to have staff like this. We will be back! «Waitresses lives Matter»

I don’t often post reviews, but this place was so good I had to. Our server, Rachael, was great. But I had to write a review because they have quite literally THE best pancakes I have ever had! We lucked into the Log Cabin while visiting Tahoe, waited about 30 mins(but they have a cute upstairs waiting area with couches and a TV with videos — VHS tapes haha!) SO worth the wait! My husband had the Cajun Egg Benedict and loved it, I had a Scramble In and it was wonderful(perfect avocados), my kids had the pancakes. Just plain pancakes — they were to die for! Without syrup they are better than any I’ve ever had.

They have a wait time for about 20 – 40 mins so it’s advisable to call them ahead of time so they can put you in their wait list. We didn’t know that we can do that so we have to wait when we got there. The thing about this place is that they have a comfy waiting area. The food was amazing. I ordered their scrambled eggs. It was worth the wait. Service was incredible too.

The breakfast at Log Cabin Café is really quite incredible. My friend and I were staying at the Hyatt Resort in Incline Village, and we were looking for a breakfast spot to go to before heading to the Adventure Park in Tahoe City. I stumbled upon Log Cabin Café on Unilocal, and it seemed to be one of the better options in the area. Log Cabin Café is really a fitting name for this restaurant. It’s a small, homey building with the appearance of a log cabin. It’s usually pretty busy too, as it has a well known reputation in the area. I ordered the salmon eggs benedict, and my friend ordered the lobster eggs benedict. They were both flavorful and filling. It seems the eggs benedict is one of the featured options on the menu, as there are a variety to choose from, and they’re the first thing listed. As long as the wait isn’t too long, this is a great option for breakfast. Be aware — parking is limited, so you may need to find street parking.

Gluten Free Bliss!!! We had to wait over an hour to get seated on a Saturday but the food didn’t disappoint. We had the GF pancakes and to my amazement they had delicious crispy edges. We also ordered the GF huevos rancheros and I was surprised at how flavorful they were. I’m pretty skeptical about ordering Mexican food so far north but The Log Cabin really dialed it in and it was delicious

Difficult to add anything that wasn’t already covered in previous reviews. Worth noting is that there is often quite a wait for a table on the weekends. This is balanced by the super comfy waiting room on the second floor — the time just slips away and before you know it, they are calling your name to be seated. If you are planning to have breakfast at the Log Cabin on a Sunday between 9 and Noon, I’d suggest that you call ahead to have your name added to the list just before you leave. I had a very hard time deciding what to order since there were a dozen or so items that sounded totally delish. I wish that their menu was printed with a less«artsy» font; I found the typeface that they used hard to read. I wanted to mention that the menu posted on their website is a SAMPLE of their full menu which has at least three times as many choices plus a hand full of daily specials. I ordered the Italian scramble and was very satisfied. I thought it was a unique medley of flavors. The Arizona French Toast is also tasty, if a little bit on the dry side(even with syrup added) for my liking. We enjoyed friendly and just right attention from hostess and servers. My coffee cup was never empty which I appreciated.
