One of Tahoe’s only actual lakefront breakfast spots. Great North Shore central location, friendly staff/owners, great tasting food and coffee, all for reasonable prices. Try the Waterman’s burrito with their own original«bacon jam» — one of a kind and tasty! Eat inside or out, on the peaceful patio, or grab your towel, beach chairs or a lakeside picnic table and spend the day on Tahoe’s spectacular shoreline. For paddle enthusiasts young and old, this is an ideal spot to rent, learn and enjoy Tahoe’s exceptional flat water paddling. Park and rent steps from the water(no carrying the board across the street or through town). They also do paddle lessons/seminars and events, including their own Waterman’s Paddle Jam, part of the summer Tahoe Cup Paddle race series. They also have a complete Paddler’s Pro Shop, with boards, clothing and accessories. The location can also be rented for special events, meetings, weddings, etc. Note: As of this post, winter operations are weekends only, with paddle rentals available 7-days by phone reservation at 530−546−3590.

BLUF: The most gorgeous place I’ve had a cup of coffee. Sits right on the shores of Lake Tahoe and absolutely takes away your breath with its amazing view, whether from the indoors or out. On the way back from a trip to Reno, we stopped to check out the shores of Tahoe. I have been to Lake Tahoe only during the summers and had no clue what a treat it is to see it during the winter. The shore was covered in snow but the lake was lapping right up to the ice. After taking in the view outside, we went into the café for something warm. There was a bar that faced the water and gave you a great view of the lakes and so you could keep an eye on the younger ones while remaining warm. The barista was pleasant and very friendly, and even allowed a non patron to borrow the café’s shovel to build a snowman for some kids. There are chairs right on the patio along with a small fire pit to huddle around as well. Awesome stop on the way home from a road trip! FYI, Waterman’s Landing looked like it had SUPs and Kayaks for rentals but I didn’t look into it as it was too cold for that.

This place needs to update their hours. I came here two times during their posted business hours(8−5pm) and they were closed. The first time I came was at 2.30pm and it was closed. They posted a new hour in front of the door with new business hour(7−2pm Saturday-sunday). So I tried again and came at 9am on Sunday. Again, it was closed with no sign of life whatsoever. Haizzz…

Just a gorgeous café on the water. Nothing fancy, counter service, the food was casual. But tasted great for the price and the view. We tried the breakfast burrito(excellent) and the yogurt parfait(good but nothing exceptional). Would definitely come back for a casual brunch.

Best yogurt parfait I have ever had. That may not sound like much, but high-quality yogurt, High-quality granola, and high-quality fruit make a stunning difference. If I lived here, I would come here every day

Is there something in the water at Tahoe that slows everyone down? It shouldn’t take 15 minutes to make a cheese quesadilla, especially one that compares to what you get at Del Taco, only with attitude. I’ve seen glaciers moving faster than the women at this place. Do yourself a favor and bring a lunch with you.

Had a terrible lunch there! Ok, it has a nice location and view, nice server and the sandwich was edible BUT it was dry, over toasted, and served with about 8 tortilla chips! What is that all about? I felt like I was in the desert choking. Humans do require moisture to survive. A little green or slaw or salad, even an onion would have done better. Chincey!

Friendly service and an average breakfast. It was quick and inexpensive so I can’t complain.

I live in South Lake Tahoe and happened upon this place by chance one day cruising around the lake. Super nice people, great coffee beverages and the best part is the location. Gorgeous beach front to relax and drink your drink of choice or eat some of their snacks(I haven’t ordered anything but coffee because I had lunch both times before stopping here). Gorgeous patio again. Plenty of parking and great access. Go here.

Yes. So much yes. Came here for a peaceful breakfast on a quick girls get away. Thinking this was a sit down brunch spot we were a bit surprised at how tiny this place is. But as the saying goes, good things come in small packages and Waterman’s is just that. We ordered two breakfast burritos and the sweet girl behind the counter informed us of the greatest thing ever that is included on their burritos. Bacon Jam. That’s right folks BACON. INJAM. And it was AMAZEBALLS. I wish I could have bought a jar of it to bring home to honey! In addition to yummy food and coffee we had the most beautiful view and everyone was friendly. I imagine this place gets packed during peak season but I will def be coming back to enjoy the food and view!

They happily will rent you a dog friendly kayak so you can bring your dog with you when you paddle out onto amazingly beautiful Lake Tahoe. I found the whole process to be hassle free, we were up and running(paddling) within 10 minutes, and our dog had as much of a blast as we did. Loved it, and so sad the summer is over and we won’t be able to go back until next year.

The landing is right down the street from our family’s cabin– we visit the beach there and finally decided to rent some paddle boards and grab some snacks/coffee. We stood in line to rent a SUP for over 10 min. An older man wasn’t understanding their iPad technology. He stood there and ignored us while he tried to troubleshoot the iPad. Several other employees walked by(line was short) and we were never greeted, but ignored. The man on the beach that instructed about the boards was amazing– it’s the staff in the actual building is the problem. Like a previous reviewer said, it seems like we were bothering them and they were having a bad day. When we ordered our smoothies/paninis she gathered the order and both my sister and I walked out and both said the same thing– what was her problem. We probably won’t be back.

I LOVE this place. The view was fantastic, and the cashier was extremely friendly! I had an iced mocha and a spinach, feta, and artichoke frittata. The food was great, the coffee perfect, and the atmosphere very relaxing.

Great location, nice access to the water, the beach is gravel but this is Lake Tahoe, not Miami, folks :-) We dropped in on a Friday afternoon for some drinks and chillin’ and were totally pleased. It wasn’t busy, I ordered a double shot hot latte and my wife had a glass of rose wine. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the view of the lake, then wandered down to the water. If we had more time, we would have spent it here :-) Prices were fair, people were renting paddle boards and having fun. Parking seems limited, not sure if they have an overflow area for when it gets busy. Overall, WL gets our«two thumbs up» rating :-)

We rented Paddle Boards from Waterman and had a great experience. The pricing for stability boards is competitive($ 25/hour, $ 15 for an additional hour). The rental comes with a safety and instructional demo that does not count against your rental time. It was our first time to SUP and the staff made us feel comfortable and excited. I definitely recommend Waterman to travelers. We do not try the café but the space is really cute and the patio offers a great view. We may have to come back before we leave!

Great spot for a simple wholesome snack or artisanal tea and coffee. It is just a few steps away from our spectacular condo #63 and a spacious and cozy condo #50 Carnelian Woods. We came here for our friends wedding and we loved renting both condos. wwwGreat spot for a simple wholesome snack or artisanal tea and coffee. As much as I hate to… I am giving Waterman’s Landing a lowly, two-star rating predominately because of some staff members I encountered in August. My family cabin is just up the road and this little spot offers a nice waterfront view, some nibbles, paddle board/kayak rentals and free Internet. This August I popped in a few times and nearly every time, I found the staff behind the counter to be having a bad day. It was clear they were not up for a crowd — in fact, on one occasion the gals were grudgingly saying goodbye to their quiet mornings as the line grew. It didn’t stop there — they also outwardly complained how someone dared to make a mess of the honey near the self-service coffee. Oh no! …Something for you to clean up dearies? Hey, we all have ‘off’ days… or days we would rather be doing something else with our time other than work. Working with a bad attitude is harder than working with a good attitude. Given the choice as a patron — I would rather not encounter the bad attitude and negative energy. Such a pity because this place has decent potential to be a 4 – 5 star spot!

Love this place! Friendly staff – Kara is super friendly and indulged me in describing ingredients they make from scratch for all their menu items. Great selection of brews of both coffee and alcohol, chill atmosphere with fun décor – surf boards for sale, lime green comfy couch, tables, high counter seating at the window with great views of the lake. Both locals and passersby come in to enjoy not just coffee drinks but also the food, free wifi, and nice vibes. Just overheard another customer say«that was ridiculously good» as he returned the food basket. Waterman’s Landing, I like you!
