Michaels has both indoor and outdoor tables. We went on a chilly and rainy night, and unfortunately, all the indoor tables were taken by big parties.(We were not told that when we made the reservation.) So, we were both cold and damp sitting outside. My wife and I both had steak, which was very good. Michaels is considered by locals to be the best steak restaurant in Key West, so I expected great, but was pleased with very good. So, either go during good weather, or make sure that there are indoor tables available.

My husband and I both work in the industry, we were returning for the second time tonight expecting good food and service but I really led on that I wanted a great wine. Robbie our server. was over the top fantastical. He made us proud. We know that he probably does not get enough reviews to really congratulate his genuine care, proved knowledge, friendly and polite attitude. And the fact that he did everything a way you would like with out asking. That is hard. Feels like we know him. So thank you for taking care of us! The two Cabernets suited each of us just rite, and we’re very different. and the entrée blew us away thank you to the chef for the best duck in Key West. Last time we had one that good we were at a secret spot in Manhattan.

Great food. Terrible service. The hostess was rude and the server was not attentive. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service! Patricia was an excellent waitress and really made the experience as good as it was. Our party had a variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Highlights included the veal chop, short rib, and meatloaf. The cheesecake and chocolate volcano were awesome desserts. Michael’s has a lot to offer and is definitely worth a stop when dining out in Key West.

You won’t go wrong with just about anything on this menu… we had the Tuna Stack app which was fresh and delicious. We then split the Blackened Mahi Mahi and the Kurobuta Pork Chop in an onion reduction sauce paired nicely with a bottle of Malbec… we will be back… could very well be the best restaurant on Key West.

Being that we are in Key West a lot these days. It is our hope to find a few«go to spots» to bring our friends when they come to town. Sorry, to say this is not it. I am not sure how anyone thinks it is ok to have guest wait 2 hours for their food. I give Micheal’s 3 stars sole because the food was tasty. The food is good but should be better at this price point. $$$$

I will say that this was one of the best meals I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. We ordered the the tuna stack and the crab cake which were both incredible. I simply cannot convey the level of flavor they manage to pack into small bits at this eatery. We then had the pleasure of meeting Michael himself who insisted that we try the pork belly sliders and the scallops with brie and preserves which were so buttery and perfectly cooked that I don’t own a single thing worth trading for them. For dessert, we ordered the lava cake with ganache which was utterly orgasmic, with the addition of a salted caramel cheesecake, also courtesy of Michael, which literally ruined every dessert I will eat for the rest of my life.

Nice garden setting. Professional and friendly staff. Nice menu options and wine list. Not the typical tourist place. Good vibe

My wife and I had a wonderful meal at Michael’s in KW last Saturday night. As usual great drinks, great food, and great service. It’s always a wonderful experience when we dine there.

The service and food here is top-notch. The outdoor bar and seating offers a true KW feel. Reservations are recommended and the locals frequent this restaurant. We come here once every year on our vaca to KW and literally my only critique is that the menu is very traditional. My hubby loves it but I prefer something more trendy and innovative so that’s just a note if you’re interested in the style of food. That being said it’s definitely a five-star restaurant experience, Key West style.

Unpretentious. comfortable…and GREAT food! The best pork chop I ever had! Some say you have to take a boat ride to a ‘hooty-tooty’ island for a good meal… I disagree. If you eat at ONE place while in Key West, make it Michael’s.

My husband and I were sorely disappointed with our experience at Michaels. We dined here on a Friday night and were excited to enjoy our first dinner in Key West together. What could have been a lovely dining experience ended up being both frustrating and disappointing. We were seated inside and essentially ignored for the entire meal. It seemed that we were never assigned to a waiter or waitress’s section and all of the waitstaff seemed slightly confused by our presence. We started with cocktails and the scallops and brie. The cocktails and baked brie were delicious. The scallops were overly salty. My husband ordered a steak as his entrée which was delicious. I was excited to try the local seafood and ordered the fish and grits. Oddly enough, the fish was fried and the dish was generally bland and unappetizing(and I will eat almost anything!). I’m always enthusiastic about dessert and was thrilled to try key lime pie in Key West. After waiting for an inordinate amount of time for a waiter to appear, we decided to cut our losses, paid the check and headed home.

Our most fav meal in key west. A locals fav as we dined with our local friends. The braised ribs with truffle mash were another level. Early celebration for my birthday… If nice weather outside is the way to go.

We had diner there last night, the staff was nice but the food was not impressive. The steaks were«ok» the soup was cold and sent back, the bread was not freshest… Over all it was just«ok».

We visited Michaels 2 years ago and we were REALLY impressed by the menu and service. This year we had two really nice starters and paste for main course. The pasta were too ordinary and it didn’t look very nice.

My wife and I were recommended Michael’s that is «off the beat’n path»… I was expecting a nice meal… But was blown away by the atmosphere, service & food! It was well above my expectations… Which are high… Thumbs up to Michael’s Key West!

Since we typically visit Key West shortly after Valentine’s day, we don’t do a fancy dinner at home, but instead save it for the trip. Michael’s is generally the venue of choice. It was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. Thank goodness or we’d never have stumbled across it. It is tucked away in a residential neighborhood and blends right in with only a small sign indicating its existence. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but I strongly recommend outdoor. They have a nice outdoor bar and ample seating. We’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table. We started with the seafood crêpe and the sea scallops. The crêpe was filled with a nice variety of seafood and topped with a pink cream sauce. Delicious. The sea scallops were perfectly seared and the texture was amazing. In the outdoor seating near the bar, they offer a special fondue menu. Sometimes you have to request it, but it’s well worth it. They offer 5 or 6 different fondue blends. We’ve tried a few of them, but this time the beer cheese option caught our eye. First, they brought out an enormous spread to dip in the cheese including bread, pretzel rolls, fresh vegetables and a wide variety of fresh fruit. Next came that delicious pot of melted cheese. Creamy and delicious with tons of flavor, the beer cheese blend was perfectly made.

Location: A few blocks from the heart of Key West’s Old Town(Duval Street) Style: White tablecloth Menu: interesting and tasty Wine List: Good, albeit more variety in by-the-glass would be preferable Service: Friendly Overall: Commended
