We went a few times while on vacation and the food was great. Wasn’t packed and good beer.

We read the reviews and we’re traveling back thru and decided to stop. Local place on the canal. Ordered Baha Tacos with grilled Caribbean jerk with jalapeños sauce. Not too spicy and gave it good flavor. The best fish tacos I’ve had in the Keys this week! Others had: club, sliders and salad which were all good with large portions and great prices! Wait staff was friendly and accommodating with special cook-to order bacon(extra limpy)! Would come back if ever down here again.

Just jumped off wave runners at Key skis, yummy lunch! On a little canal back in Key Largo! All of the meals were very good, we all had sandwiches and some seasoned peel your own shrimp. Service was attentive no complaints here! Try it out!

The best place in Key Largo. I went with two friends and we liked it so much we ate there six times during our three day stay in Key Largo! Shrimp Tacos are to die for! Pulled Pork Tacos are amazing! The Pot Roast melts in your mouth! The various breakfast options are so delicious. Fish and chips was perfect. Even a simple shrimp Caesar salad was made correctly. The waitress Flipper is great, she always got us everything quickly! Just Amazing everything.

This place gets real shady after 10pm, but isn’t bad for happy hour cocktails. I’ve only had 1 meal here, I was starving after work, ordered a side salad w/ranch and their Chipotle buger, no fries. My salad came and I had to giggle because whoever cut the veggies has no knife skills, the cucumbers we all different thickness and the tomato«slice» was just the top half of the tomato. Okay, whatever, wasn’t expecting a 5 star meal. Also was given the house Italian dressing instead of ranch. not what I ordered but it tasted fine. My burger came… with fries. The burger was really good but on the messy side… either that or I was just really hungry.

We’ve been to Sharkeys a handful of times now and have yet to be disappointed. We prefer late afternoon(during happy hour) when we can watch the boats come and go. Service has been consistently friendly and prompt. We’ve tried several different menu items and cocktails and all have been terrific. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but it’s in line with everything else in the Keys. They are a little tricky to find, but worth the effort!

My favorite spot in Key Largo. GREATFOOD, service, atmosphere etc… Fish tacos are a favorite along with the newly added Carne Asada tacos. I can honestly say that I have not had a bad dish here. If you’re not sure what to order, feel free to ask your server or bartender.

As our usual routine dictates, we start playing Unilocal!roulette and try out new restaurants in the Keys(mostly Islamorada, Tavernier, and Key Largo). We saw the reviews for this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. When you pull into the parking lot, there is no real sign saying Sharkeys, just a sign saying Ocean Divers? My family and I unknowingly wandered into the bar downstairs. One of the many typical Keys drunkos drinking corona had enough common sense to direct me upstairs to the more«family friendly area». We went upstairs and even there the sign said Galleys but all the waiters had shirts on that said Sharkeys. Huh? Whatever, were adventurous so we gave it a try. I ordered a special Brazilian hog fish with veggies and rice, my wife had the shrimp Cesar salad, and my son had a calamari appetizer. My dish came with a soup or salad, so I ordered the soup. The waiter described it a broccoli and cheesy soup(I should have known). That soup was horrible! It came out cold and tasted like nacho cheese melted and mixed with Who knows. Pushed that to the side and waited for the entrees while we listened to the band playing live music downstairs. That was cool and what you would expect in the Keys. You also have views of the canal. The food came out after about 20 min. The hog fish was good, the fish tasted fresh and the sauce was good. Veggies and the rice were ok. My son seemed to like the calamari. My wife’s shrimp Cesar was bleh. She thinks the shrimp were ok, I did not like their taste at all. The salad itself looked and tasted like a pre made salad you buy from the supermarket. Oh by the way, the check also said Galleys, so I am not really sure where I ate. Overall this place maybe good for drinking downstairs, can’t tell ya’, but for food, I most definitely will not be coming back.

You can’t be serious … This place is awful… The service is terrible… got the filet(small hamburger it looked like) served cold… Look at the picture… In what country do they allow a dog not service IN a restaurant… It out of control …

Standard menu for the Keys, but exceptional service and great view of the docks. We ordered the ahi tacos and the seared ahi and seaweed salad. Although both of the items are in the appetizer portion of the menu, the portion sizes are pretty big. Perfectly great for a meal. Both plates were tasty and tasted very fresh. The prices were fair too considering how expensive it can be to dine in the keys.

I can’t believe people are saying these are the best fish tacos. I tried the Baja fish tacos like everyone is recommending here and was so completely underwhelmed. A gigantic piece of fish with some cold cheese on top and strange sauce that was NOT good. All the food I had at the Keys was great, except for here. Also, the conch fritters were soggy and not as good as other places I tried. Service was weird and kind of slow. Waitress left in the middle of taking another customer’s order because she couldn’t remember it all so she was going to get her pad to write it down. Hmm, ok. You are a waitress? How about you have it with you at all times if you can’t remember. I don’t know, there’s much better food than this place. Not the restaurant’s fault but while we were there, a pelican flew into a wall and stunned itself. It made me so sad! A bunch of drunk idiots below were laughing hysterically. There is nothing funny about what happened to that poor bird.

We decided to drive to Keys and in the way back stop by our favorite place. Son had Draft Saigon craft beer & I had a Yeungling. For appetizer order Conch Fritters & Smoke Fish Dip,(both are delicious) Son order Cajun Tuna Taco(Flour Tortillas with seared rare AHITUNA, shredded lettuce, cucumber, carrots + Chipotle sauce on the side) Daughter in Law had the Baja Fish Tacos,(Funky Buddha IPA beer batter fried Mahi-Mahi in a soft taco with fresh Pico de Gallo, Jack Cheddar cheese, shredded cabbage & cilantro sauce) Wife order the Fish N’ Chips(Beer Batter Fried Mahi-Mahi with Fries and Slaw) I had Fish Grill Sandwich,(mahi-Mahi grill in rosemary, garlic sauce on a fresh roll with lettuce, tomato, red onions 7 tartar sauce with French Fries). The service was excellent and he gave us the Happy Hour special price on the smoke fish dip appetizer. That is a nice gesture. The food was Delicious, Well prepare. Is GOOD to frequent this place :-))

Open bar with indoor outdoor seating, multiple TVs, music, darts, and a pool table. Surprisingly delicious food to be found here(if you can actually find the place). Shared the Seared Ahi Tuna and the Kahuna Quesadillas(with pulled pork) appetizer with the hubby. And. .. wow. Just. .. . oh my gosh. .. wow. Beers to find here are Dogfish 60, Cigar Invasion, and Hammerd’ Head. Great place to hang for a casual, yummy lunch with the locals.

Driving on our way back from Key West to Ft Lauderdale, our tour guide picked some spots for us to stop at for lunch on the way through. We ended up choosing Sharkey’s because it looked like a hole in the wall, a local spot, and would give us a taste of Key Largo. Environment: Townie, Dive bar(literally… it’s where all the local divers go, and its a dive bar), with a Jimmy Buffet feel with beach/paradise décor, lots of outdoor seating on the water to watch all the diving boats/jet skis go out, and a side patio that I imagine gets pretty packed on a nice night. It was relaxing, very casual, low key and had lots of good vibes. Service: It was lunch, on a Monday, and rainy. Besides a couple old local guys, we were the only ones there. But it was still slow. But you know what? They are on island time. Food: I got the fish tacos, and Gster got the chicken avocado. My fish taco was pretty phenomenal, actually, the best that I ever got. I also ordered only one, which was massive. Overall synopsis? A great local dive bar, with amazing food, low key atmosphere and a good pit stop on a long drive.

My buddy and I checked this place out since it was walking distance from our hotel. The first thing you see is an outdoor grill cooking burger and ribs along with other things I’m sure. It definitely set the tone for how this place operates. It was relaxed and was definitely a «locals» place. You seat yourself here and there are three options: inside on the first level, upstairs or outside on the first level. We chose the outside option but boy was it crowded. Granted, it was a Sunday afternoon with football on every tv.(Awesome.) There are fans and it was breezy so outside was comfortable. It was loud but not too loud and my buddy and I enjoyed keeping an eye on three different football games while we ate. I decided to have the fish tacos, grilled and they were excellent. Ample amount of fish with an awesome sauce. My buddy had the ribs and as he said«they fell right off the bone.» All in all, we enjoyed this place with their wide range of craft beers and affordable, great good.

Sharkeys has so much potential, but it’s just not all clicking. I’ve been there at least five times, now. Every time we’ve gone, it’s been on a Friday for the fish fry. The good: The draft craft beer selection blows my mind. It’s got something for everybody. They didn’t have that when I first went there. Well done! The restaurant is on the water. Always a plus. The so-so: The Mahi Mahi fish fry is said to be delicious by my family. Getting more of it(it’s all you can eat) can sometimes be a challenge, however. Room for improvement: The service. VERY spotty. Not that consistent. Also, I haven’t been that impressed with the burger. It’s ok, I just drink my awesome draft craft, while my family eats. All in all, I think we’ll be back for the fish fry. But, it’s clear from more than one visit that the service needs improvement.

This is a place that’s hidden on a cut through Key Largo that the dive ships leave every day. My besties work here– as dive masters and Captains. A total locals bar or some lucky newbie diver may find… by coming off a dive. Enjoy– food is pretty good and the Key Largo experience is even greater. Enjoy the locals– I do :)
