Received a drink and watched the bartender pour a 2 count, which to those who are experienced know that it is half of a shot. I was polite and told the bartender Sarah, I believe that was her name, and she gave me a nasty attitude and an ever ruder response. After waiting 20 minutes for a $ 7 cranberry juice and receiving a nasty response from this slow bartender I can honestly say that this bar is rubbish! Now I know why all the underage college kids were drinking here… Very disappointed

Nice bar, DONOTUSETHEIRATM. If it’s out of money it’ll take it out of your account and not refund you. And it’s out of cash most the time because it’s a CASHONLY bar and don’t take cards, so you’re force to use the ATM.

I have to say this is one of the better establishments in queens. Sabrina the bartender is very knowledgeable and her service is extraordinary.

The owner of Parsons Ale is a friendly and welcoming man. He also hires bartenders that are just as friendly and become more knowledgable during their time staffed at the bar. This is my «go to» spot in the area. The service definitely exceeds expectations considering that it’s primarily a college bar. Purchase more than one drink, tip well, and you’ll get your money’s worth.

Rude staff and terrible place. The owner and his staff are incompetent. The owner doesn’t have the galls to manage his own bar and lets the bartenders run the place. The place looks like it’s stuck in the late 70’s. It’s dirty, disgusting and smells like straight urine covered in dirty mop water. No wonder it’s always empty and going out of business. You have been warned. Everything is filthy– the owner, staff and bar itself.

Lazy, unfriendly and unattractive bartenders are just the icing on this crap cake of a dive bar. The place smells like stale beer and urine, the atmosphere is terrible, there’s no music unless you pay per song, and the prices aren’t even reasonable for such a trash heap. All of this may be tolerable if the service wasn’t absolute garbage. Come here if you want to have a miserable time or go to one of the other million bars Queens has to offer.

I live a couple of blocks from the bar but it does not help me to come there. I have to admit I’m not a big specialist in bars since I don’t drink. However, it’s good to have a bar by school where students can hang out. It’s fun there on Fridays and Saturdays. Can be also fun on some Tuesdays.

This ale house is a great place for young people looking for a good drink. They have a bar with a variety of name brand drinks. The service is great because the waitresses are polite but the food requires improvement. The chicken fingers need more spices as do the French fries. The only problem I have is with the soft drinks. It tastes very fake and watery. Extra amenities include a refurbished pool table($ 2⁄1 Rack, $ 5⁄3 Racks, $ 10⁄6 Racks) and a classic juke box. Parsons Ale House is spacious with a classic design and earns a 3 Star.

They are incredibly rude, I’d choose trads any single day… not that I’d hang out at either

Nice place. Good drinks, beers are for the most part on point. Good bartenders. Not a bad place if you don’t mind the St. John’s crowd getting drunk. Parking however is an utter bitch.

This place is awesome. First thing: you can get $ 4 shots on Friday nights. Second thing: the bartenders are smokin. Last thing: the food is good. I’ve never had a bad experience here.

Bar tenders are awesome. The lighting and music top off this clean and respectable corner bar. Also, the bar tender ran to buy half and half for my white russian. Made my night.

This place is right around the corner from where I work so I often come here and drink with some of my coworkers. I’ve had some crazy times here and I love it. They always always have $ 3 shots and $ 4 mixed drinks all day. They also have a good happy hour everyday too. Their drinks aren’t watered down whatsoever. Great prices, extremely friendly staff, and sweet accommodating bartenders. I recommend their lemon drop shots and their Pineapple Delight mixed drinks. Beautiful chandelier inside but it’s not exactly the classiest place to drink at. Cozy booths and couches to sit at if you don’t feel like sitting at the bar. Super updated jukebox, has seriously every song I could ever ever think of. They have darts and a pool table in the back as well. Their food is standard bar appetizers but exactly what I look for when I come to bars like this. They were out of onion rings once and that made me a really sad drunk girl. Another time I came, the kitchen was completely closed even though it was early but the bartender was totally fine with us bringing outside food in. Pretty dead during some summer nights but it gets really packed on Thursdays and especially when St. Johns and surrounding colleges are in session. I really like this place though. Good area bar.

I literally love this place. Every time I go I have an awesome time. Ill say this, the place is not cute. The décor is hideous and outdated. However, the drinks are cheap and usually pretty good. You would think they would water down the drink specials, but not really. Went on a Thursday and they had karaōke going. If your part of the St. John”s crowd and your looking for a local place to get drunk and act silly, this is the place.

High ceilings, klassy chandelier and sloppy photographs by the door. Standard jukebox, table and darts. Reminisant of Traditions, St Johns bar… cheap specials of $ 3mixed drinks and $ 2 shots. For an Ale house, the beer selection wasn’t extensive at all.
