Taco To Go

Every time we are in the Kerrville area, we make a point of having breakfast at Tacos To Go. They never disappoint! The unassuming building is so comfortable it’s like sitting in and indoor patio of a friend’s home and having them make you a delicious authentic South Texas meal. My husband and kids love the huevos rancheros (and the breakfast potatoes on the side!). We all love the breakfast tacos — especially Barbacoa, Carne Guisada, & bean, egg & cheese. Must ask for the green salsa.

Food is amazing! Breakfast tacos rock, and the hot sauce/​salsa is to die for! The drinks are good and I love the beef enchilada and puffy taco plates. This place is amazing! Nice earthy down-​home feel inside. The main lady that works there remembers me and I don’t even have to tell her my order. She just asks if I want my usual. She is so nice and awesome. Very nice laid back familial feel to the place and the employees are great and so nice!

«We serve high quality food» is out on their sign. I got such a laugh out of the sign, I tried the place. It is a dive for eating inside, but the food is worth it. Air conditioning is marginal, so if you want a cool dining experience, go through the drive-​thru! I’d give it 5 if the inside dining was a little cooler in the summer.
Dishes are meaty. They don’t skimp. Excellent red and green sauces. My favorite is the beef fajita breakfast taco. Steak and eggs in a tortilla — can’t be beat.
So don’t let the outside fool you — they really do serve high quality food!

This place is a must every time I am in Kerrville. I went to high school in Kerrville over 20 years ago and Taco To Go has always been there — always super delicious They’re hands down my favorite tacos EVER.

I was very surprised to see no one has reviewed this place in a long time. I picked up tacos for us this morning. I got there about 630 and waited forever for my tacos but it was well worth it.

I ordered 2 bacon and egg very good and fresh.
2 carnitas amazing fresh and tender.
1 chorizo and egg. The best ever! And I am not a fan of chorizo.
1 bar bacon not sure my husband hadn’t ate it yet.

Good Mexican breakfast! Homemade tortillas.

I biked 100 miles through the hill country the day before Easter. I was exhausted and dehydrated by the end. After dinner I fell asleep, dead to the world. The next morning I awoke profoundly hungry.
I drove into Kerrville in search of breakfast. We were staying in a furnished cabin a few miles outside of town. I assumed most places in Kerrville would be closed, so my first thought was to buy something to cook. When I got to the grocery store, nothing looked appealing.
I got back into the car and wandered around Kerrville. Eventually I found Taco To Go. Miraculously, they were open on Easter morning. I ordered about a million tacos, brought them back to the cabin, and devoured them.
The ingredients tasted fresh. The salsa was good too. I don’t remember how much they cost because I was too hungry to care.
