The pharmacy is horrendous. The staff are nice enough but generally incapable of helping or providing more than very minimum of service. Forgetting to bill insurance companies, and not filling prescriptions are common problems.
The store’s prices are mediocre with no corresponding increase in quality. Unfortunately with Roth’s and Albertsons out of business the only nearby alternative is Fred Meyer, which is not much better. Winco, which is much better, is a fifteen minute drive, but worth it.

Your typical Safeway I know I will say that it’s a clean store and the prices are better than Albertson’s was or Roth’s is I will also say that the selection is so so and the pharmacy is split down the middle as far as customer service goes I never know whether I’m going to get the friendly pharmacy or the stuffy cold fish pharmacy. There are a couple of pharmacy techs that are super friendly and then there are a couple that are just a pain in the ass. If you are having a hard time finding something in the store as well I hope you have a lot of time on your hand because unless you are lucky enough to catch someone stocking the shelves you probably will not find anyone to help you.

This is a pretty nice Safeway. The prices are better than Albertsons/​haggen, but not always cheap. There’s a Starbucks in it, and I like that there are cup holders in the carts. The service is always pretty good, and the cashiers are friendly. The one issue is there are usually very long lines and not very many registers open.

I recently moved to Keizer from Corvallis and I am not impressed with this Safeway. I have seen employees be mistreated by supervisors and also sexually harass a customer in yoga pants, one of which was a supervisor. The fruit wasn’t rotated properly so there were rotting apples and had to dig around for decent ones. Every time I go in I wait in very long lines. I shouldn’t have to wait in line for fifteen minutes when there are plenty of people standing around in front of the customer service area. All around it’s a hassle going in there. I would rather shop at Fred Meyer.

I have no idea how Safeway can stay in business. The prices are not competitive in Keizer or Salem, and the service is atrocious. Self-​checkout lanes would greatly help as it’s possible to wait for 20+ minutes to checkout with just 1 item in hand in this store.
On the positive side, the store is very clean, well organized and the staff are friendly. But the negatives outweigh the positives and I do my best to avoid this Safeway.

Nice, clean store. Its a Safeway, but is well maintained, has a good craft brew selection, and friendly folks.
