I haven’t even left Keene Valley Lodge yet but already want to give them a review. I’m here with my two sisters and being off season and mid-week we have the place to ourselves and it’s still amazingly cosy and inviting. It’s also wonderfully charming and I’m already wishing we were staying much longer…

I almost don’t want to leave a review, because I want to be selfish and keep this jewel to myself… I stay at this B&B every time I’m visiting Adirondacks. The cozy, clean, high-quality, and«home» qualities about this place makes it one of the must items on my itinerary, whether I’m there for a short hiking trip, a weekend kayak trip, or a long ice-climbing get-away. Over the last 6 or so times I have stayed there, I used the Beede suite, rooms 5, 6, 1 and 2, and they are all great, clean and comfortable. The homemade breakfast is perfect(I dream about those fresh out of the oven muffins!). Fireplace in the living room is lovely after a day of hard hikes. Owners Laura and George are doing a fantastic job maintaining this place — and they are super helpful on local activity ideas. I’m already planning the next trip!

Great B&B. Three of us were bike touring, and shared a room for about $ 130. It had a queen and twin bed and private bath. In addition, it had free wi-fi, and because it was out of cell phone range, there was a free shared phone to call anywhere in the US. The house had a great front porch for sitting, and a great living room and sitting room as shared spaces. It was a beautiful and comfortable house. My mattress was not great, but that was my only complaint. The room(no TV) was beautiful and quaint, and the breakfast was the best I have ever had. Fresh homemade bread for toast, fresh muffins, fresh fruit, eggs, hot and cold cereal, etc. And all you can eat! Perfect for anyone, especially 3 hungry cyclists. While a bit pricey, it was better than another area place, and totally worth it for us. I would definitely go there again.
