The food was so tasty and fresh. Love the casual beach vibe, the night lighting and tent outside were a special touch. We got the pot stickers and the bruschetta to start — YUM. Then we had the mac nut fish which was fresh and creamy. We ended the night with their lilikoi cake and papaya ice cream and left happy! Oooh also try their mint tea, loved mine!!! We will be back.

It is SO nice to find a restaurant with so many GF and vegan dishes on the island! The food was sooooo yummy(I got the jerk tofu and the coconut cake for dessert). They do have fish and meat and not gluten free options too. Everything was super good and I’d go back here in a heartbeat. Also, FYI, they don’t serve alcohol. But you can BYOB or BYOW to drink with your meal!

Charming dining environment, unique food(vegan), very friendly service, and SUPER quick turn-around time for orders! Be mindful of your tolerance with mosquitos as dining does require you to spray down with deet-free organic(pleasant smelling) spray before you eat. All the food was very fresh and pure tasting. Dessert was notable, especially the ice cream with very intense flavors; we didn’t resonate with the chocolate pudding, but everything else was great. Thanks for a great dining experience!

Easily one of my top 5 best meals. Everything from the cute building and signs when you walk in, to the romantic/relaxed feel of the outdoor seating, to the music and overall experience. Not to mention THEFOOD! Shared the potstickers as an appetizer, for my entrée got the macnut crusted tofu with coconut cream, asparagus, and rice. The sauce was out of this world! For desert I got the coconut cake. Also amazing, very dense but not too sweet, all vegan. So so good. Staff was friendly too. I would eat here everyday if I could!

This was by far one of the best meals my husband and I have ever had! The food was fresh, delicious, great presentation and exquisite! We had the bruschetta to start and then the Ahi and the Coconut Macnut frsj local fish of the day. I would highly recommend this restaurant! The atmosphere was so peaceful and the customer service was A+ too! It’s a must!

Oh man. We ate at most of the«tourist-y» places with high reviews on Unilocal during our vacation, and none of them hold a candle – scratch that – a tiki torch to this place! This restaurant was INCREDIBLE. Great service, prices, music, and the food… Did I mention it was incredible? Be sure to order exactly what we did: Drinks: Hibiscus Cooler Tahitian Lemonade Appetizers: Pumpkin Curry Soup Purple Sweet Potato Samosa Entrees(which come with a delicious side salad): Jerk Chicken Macadamia Nut Crusted Catch of the Day And their chocolate chip cookies! We got 5! The most heartbreaking part of this eating experience was when it ended. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Kauai! And don’t forget to try their breakfast version of their restaurant, Hippie Café, from 8AM — 1:30PM. Thanks Caffe Coco!

We had the spring rolls, Acai bowl, smoothie, and avocado toast and it was all superb! We can’t wait to come back to try the dinner menu next. In addition the service really goes above and beyond. If you’re health conscious this is a must :)

We went here on a whim to redeem the free app if we checked in, and I’m so glad we did. The food here was absolutely amazing. We ended up getting the pot sticker app which has this delicious glaze on it. We couldn’t figure out what was in the potstickers, but it ended up being banana chutney and something else. Who knew? Delicious. I ordered the shrimp pasta and it was bursting with flavor. They advertise as being organic and supporting local farmers, and I couldn’t totally tell. The herbs were so fresh and it all tasted healthy. My husband got the local catch which was some type of sword fish. Also amazing. We finished with desert and ended up getting the coconut cake with one of their homemade ice creams. The cake was dense with a creamy icing. We found out that they don’t use any dairy or eggs, I don’t know how they did it but we were both fooled. The chefs here are amazing and the menu is creative and delicious. If you eat here you won’t be disappointed. But bring your own alcohol because it’s BYOB. UPDATE: We went for breakfast and it’s just as amazing. We had the avocado toast, spring rolls, and an I heart blueberry smoothie. I left feeling amazing at how healthy this breakfast was. The dipping sauce for the spring rolls was phenomenal and i couldn’t get enough of the toast. Definitely coming back before we leave!

I was looking for a farm-to-table type of restaurant and found this on Unilocal.I was surprised that I hadn’t heard of it before, as I had done thorough research on all the best restaurants prior to our arrival. Not only did they have great reviews, but they were also right up the street from our hotel(can’t beat that)! I was also able to get reservations within 2 hours of our dinner on a Fri. night(amazing)! I had seen all the pics of their backyard dining area on Unilocal, and it was just as charming as it looks online. They’re located in the back of some other businesses, and it’s a very unassuming place. It looks like a small house that had been converted into a restaurant. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and seated in their backyard. Love the outdoor lights hanging and they also have 24 tons of colorful crushed glass on the ground. If the glass gets in your shoes, they can be a bit sharp, but its very pretty and adds a unique ambiance. And now for the food… I checked in on Unilocal and got a free appetizer(samosa) with mango chutney, which was very yummy. For dinner, I ordered the coconut Mac nut crusted fish(hebi) with coconut cream sauce, local veggies and rice. It was incredible, and just the right portion! It also came with a salad. The price was $ 30, which was worth it! My husband got the ahi and said it was very good. We brought a bottle of wine and they have a $ 5 corkage fee. The service was spectacular. The food came out very fast and the waitresses were very attentive. I liked how you can watch the chefs cooking in the kitchen from your table. Overall, I’d say this is a hidden gem. It tends to have a lot of vegetarian dishes, but there are also items on the menu that cater to non-vegetarians like me. Highly recommended!

Love this place. Food is tasty, healthy, and service is great. The only thing that needs to be updated is their opening hours… It turns out they are open ALSO in the mornings AND for lunch — but under a different name«hippie café». Very confusing. The Unilocal listing, google listing and website all neglected to mention they were open for breakfast/lunch. Breakfast/lunch menu is limited, but food had the same quality as the dinner.

Great experience!!! Food was fresh, full of savor and Hawaiian. We came for the live entertainment but they don’t have any live, but a lot of entertainment :). The speakers playes great music and the waitresses are so gracious. The shrimp pasta was yummy, and the coconut and mac not local fish is amazingly tasteful and savory. I am recommending this place to all my friends. Don’t forget your own wine this place is a byob, bring your own buzz :).

Simply amazing. We rented out the whole restaurant for a 25-person wedding reception and the night couldn’t have been more beautiful. Set back from the main road, the outdoor patio with stung bulbs and foliage-lined fences was the perfect setting to end our wedding night. We picked this spot based upon the Google walk through where you can get a sense of the outdoor atmosphere. We were given three main entrée options, all which could be ordered vegetarian or vegan. This place is BYOB, so we were able to bring wine and beer in for the dinner. All of our guests raved about the food and setting. Owner set everything up perfectly so I didn’t even need to fret about the details. Perfect night to a perfect day! Thank you!!!(Ps the pot stickers were a fav among our guests — a must-have!)

Wonderful little spot! Lots of vegan and GF options for those with limited diets. All fresh, local ingredients, and the servers were super sweet and welcoming. And… DAMN is the food delicious! We tried the Mac Nut crusted local fish w/coconut cream sauce and the Seared Spiced Ahi. Both were cooked and flavored perfectly(these also come in tofu options). Also: definitely try the Somosa. It’s huge, and comes with a delicious chutney of some sort on top. So good! Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area!

Awesome, awesome restaurant. Went three times during our trip to Kauai. Healthy, delicious food set in a super welcoming atmosphere. Great breakfast featuring local fruit & vegetable based dishes and great smoothies. And the dinner menu is so good! For dinner you can’t go wrong with their fish dishes. Loved it all!!! Really lovely staff and friendly owner.

Really tasty fresh food, locally sourced and organic blah blah Food: Delicious. I had the macnut local catch in coconut sauce, ahi sandwich, potstickers Price: Not cheap but worth it Service: Very friendly but a little disorganized. Later parties had orders taken first, things took longer in general. It was Sunday night so they were slammed. Make a reservation to be safe Ambiance: Cute backyard villa style. Romantic and charming I’d come back

Food and service were both excellent. Caffe Coco is easily the best restaurant in Kauai, in my opinion. I’m from California and do not like eating greasy, fatty food. Everything at Caffe Coco was fresh and delicious. The fish of the day was excellent, as was the salad and creamed kale(with coconut milk!). I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! My parents were also very impressed(loved the samosa, never tasted anything like it) and they aren’t usually into«hippie» décor. I’ll definitely come back.

Staying in Kauai for a week we only planned on one visit per restaurant– I think we’ll have to make an exception for Caffe Coco because everything we ordered tasted amazing and that can only mean we need to come back and try their other menu items — I want another Samosa too! My boyfriend(who has«discerning» taste) and I came here looking for a light dinner focusing on salads and seafood on a Monday night. Really cute, funky, hippie atmosphere — glass pebbles covering their outdoor patio, string lights, wicker furniture. Don’t let the cozy, laid back attitude fool you because the food is not lacking in personality or flavor. Big plus for being local and organic! We ordered and highly recommend the following: Drinks — Hibiscus Cooler, coffee with Yummy coconut milk Apps– potstickers, samosa(didn’t order the app version because it came with my entrée) Entrees– Ahi Charmoula platter, Mac Nut Crusted local catch(can’t remember fish name, but it was a spear fish?). Salad dressing was tasty and not too sweet like most places Left feeling satisfied and not overly full, and guilt-free because everything was so healthy! The only con would be that they give a lot of rice: P

I went back to Kauai for the first time since I was a kid and on the plane I met a guy who was the son of caffe coco. Finally had to come out here and man did I love it! Right off the Kuhio highway right near the heart of Wailua bay is this small little place that if you sneezed you might miss it! When you drive up its this cheeky little café and full of color! Walking in is this cool little breakfast bar and plenty of seating inside out out back if you’d like some sunshine. They have a breakfast(and are closed for lunch time) and later will be open for dinner. The shop is very clean and well kept up. Apparently it was bought from the previous owner about 4⁄5 years ago and turned the place around big time! The breakfast was only opened up maybe 6 months ago and they have some great stuff on their menu for breakfast! Acai bowls are fairly popular here but by far this was the best one I’ve had and I’ve been to a few out here! They made their own organic granola that they put in the bowls and it’s killer! They have a cold brew tower and brew organic san francisco coffee which is pretty sick! I loved it and I would suggest it to anyone who wants some great breakfast! I’ll have to come back for dinner because I hear that’s where it’s really busy!
