We had the nachos to go, and they were hands down the worst nachos we’ve ever had. The picture will tell the story, but the pico was globulus and tasted like vinegar, the guacamole was tart and tasted like it was from a refrigerated tub in the grocery store, and the sour cream had an acidy edge. There were no tomatoes, no beans. The service was great, as was the view, but we’ve been disappointed by sub-par food twice and you can have the view without the food. I hear the drinks are great!

Excellent setting for a bar right by the ocean! I sat at the bar and also off by the waves which was so relaxing it was almost hypnotic. The bartenders were very professional, extremely friendly, and very knowledgable about their drinks. Plus amazing drinks as well. I tried the skinny chichi per the bartenders recommendation and also the monkeys lunch and both were fantastic. I have been to a lot of bars in my time and Dennis, you were outstanding. Thank you so much for the great service!

Great venue to watch the surfers ride the waves, up close and personal! Service was very good and the drinks are plentiful.

The Point at Turtle Bay Resort is located oceanside close to the swimming pool. It’s always open, so we came here as most of the other dinner venues at the resort open at 5:30 pm, and also the most«affordable» for kamaaina. Other than the ambiance, the food cannot stand on its own. My friend ordered the Point Burger, $ 16 for a patty, lettuce & tomato on a huge bun. Even fries were $ 2 extra. The waitress was very friendly & followed up with information for us about pets. But she did not get the cheese right. Swiss was requested, cheddar came back. $ 18 was not worth it. Mine was the catch is the day sandwich $ 18, with about 3 small pieces of marlin, lettuce & tomato, fries were $ 2 extra for me as well. A ripoff for $ 20. My fish was overall dry, so good thing the tartar sauce made it palatable. I even found a large fish bone in my «fillet». If it weren’t for the time it took to drive out to the north shore, the developing sunset against the rolling waves, and the mellifluous sounds of Hannah May, I may sent everything back, and walked out.

Waited for over An hour by the pool for someone to take my order, we even went up to the bar to let them know we were waiting, no one ever came over so we ended up leaving. For the amount of money we paid to stay at this resort this sort of stuff is unacceptable. We finally had to leave resort to go get food.

Drinks are kinda pricey but it’s pool and ocean side so it’s worth it and everything I had from Margheritas to mojitos were really good. Service is ok but it gets really busy quick. Food was pretty bad no flavor and $ 20 nachos with a handful of bland dry chicken with a scoop of guac from a jar, sour cream, salsa, and queso blanco that tastes like flour didn’t cut it. Really need a food upgrade on flavor for the prices you pay! Everything else on the menu is pretty much the same bland and expensive.

Great place to watch the surfers and live music. The Mai Tais here are awesome.

The one-star rating is soley based on the service. The burger I had was pretty good, the service… not so. Price point: moderate. I don’t know if it’s because it was Christmas weekend and/or they were short-staffed, but their service was just terrible. Maybe servers thought because the pool area wasn’t packed-busy, that they didn’t need to walk around more asking the guests if they wanted to order anything. I waited for 10 futile minutes before going to the bar and placing my order there. And, would you believe that I waited at the bar for at least another couple of minutes and NOBODY asked if I needed something. The bartenders, the servers all kept walking by or used the register in front of me and completely ignored me. Finally after another couple of minutes I asked one of the walk-past-me servers if I could place an order. «Sure no problem, I can take care of that.» So I gave her my ONE order for the Point Burger. Guess how long it took to finally get it. 50 fricken minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting, and waiting for a server to come around the pool to where I was sitting, I had to go back to the bar to ask on the status. The server I asked already knew even before I asked and she said it’s coming out shortly. Shortly? Another 20 minutes went by and the damn burger finally came. Unfortunately, I can’t remember if the server apologized for the delay, but she offered free beverages due to the delay. After bringing me the drinks, she did let us know that the burger was on the house.

Definitely hit up Turtle Bay for an afternoon escape from Waikiki. Parking is free. The beaches are amazing and you can dine at all the resort restaurants. The Point’s Sunday Luau is worth checking out for some free cheesy entertainment. BUTBEWARNED! DONOT! I repeat DONOT pay for the $ 20.00 Luau special. Order off the menu. The Luau consisted of rice, sad soupy slow cooker Kahlua pork, fishy fish, I think under cooked tri tip(this was a meat abomination! I’m not sure what I was eating), lomi lomi tomatoes(I’m not sure where the salmon was, I could taste the flavor but no salmon was present in the dish), some root vegetables(the best part!), and a small piece of coconut cake. No poi. Seriously, no poi. If you do not heed this warning and mistakenly opt for the Luau that you will end up not eating you can always save the left overs for all the feral cats that will show up after the show. They are wise kittens who know you will have lots of uneaten raw tri tip. The dancers are fun and the band is comedic. The three fire dancers ranging in age from very young(maybe ten years old) to adult(best fire dancer in the world or something) put on a really fun show. The staff is super nice. After the performance you can mingle with and take pictures with the performers. It is overall a good time! You get what you pay for… and since the entertainment is free don’t miss it!

It was my first time here since the renovation and the place is beautiful! Love the new patio furniture! The staff was very friendly! For dinner I ordered the Stacked Blue Corn Nachos… it was alright. I would recommend ordering t without the«house-made queso blanco». The queso pretty much ruined the nachos for me. It needed salt and I it somewhat resembled vomit both in texture and appearance. I also ate the Vegan Dipping Trio, it was pretty good, the pita bread was nice and warm and had a good toast on the outside. However, both the roasted garlic hummus and edamame hummus could’ve used bit more salt.

Everything but the pool is open to public, so come enjoy the sun, view, drinks, and food. The bacon bloody is outstanding and the Mai Tai is delightful, but their whole cocktail menu is excellent. Surfers are frequently here and we spent 3 consecutive days enjoying tacos and drinks while watching some top notch surfing.

Craving a beer, so a friend and I stopped here to have a drink while cruising the North Shore. The beer selection wasn’t extensive, but they had Maui IPA in a can; I can work with that. Wanted a snack, so we tried the roasted garlic edamame. When it got to the table, it was a whole head of garlic that the server proceeded to smash all over the edamame. Good stuff! I’ll be repelling vampires and women alike for the next few hours.

The skinny chi chi was to probably one of the weakest alcoholic drinks I have ever had. At $ 12 a drink it should not have tasted of watered down carbonated pineapple juice. The Point«Burger» was a sorry excuse for a burger. At $ 16.50, the burger was beyond sub par and you could have gotten a better burger at McDonald’s in Haleiwa. Call me old fashioned but the burger should not taste like yesterday’s fish. Literally tasted like fish. The servers were forgetful on simple Drink orders. My friend ordered a Margherita and they served him a Budweiser. One of the main issues is basic supply and demand. Since this is the sole place on turtle bay and the north east shore of Oahu, they are relying on that fact. Recommend that the management reevaluate their standards/policies and whether or not their staff is providing the service to which the Turtle Bay Resort is promoting, a luxury escape on Oahu.

What a great spot to watch the sunset with an ocean view and a beautiful Turtle Bay area! The service is excellent. The prices match the setting, but where aren’t the prices high for drinks with a view around Hawaii??? It’s worth it! Again, plenty of seating, both table chairs and lounge chairs to watch the beach and the sunset.

Even though this is just a pool bar — the food is actually amazing! We came here almost every day for lunch and ordered the fish tacos and the pork tinga tacos. Service can be a little slow when there is a crowd but worth the wait. The drinks here are some of the best drinks that I’ve had during our time in Hawaii and are very strong! The Mai Tai’s are definitely worth ordering here — their homemade mix is outstanding! Great for a quick lunch or a light dinner. It was oddly enough our favorite restaurant during our stay at Turtle Bay!

My fiancé and I went there a lot because it was next to the pool and closer and cheaper than any other restaurant at the resort. The best thing that we tried there were the strawberry and guava daiquiri and the seared ahi tuna($ 18 for a small portion). Must try if you do go there! But the servers were not attentive and the service was poor. The wait was always long after being seated. From our experience, the servers wont help you if you are not their customer. One time I decided to order from the pool side after a server handed me a menu and said they were open for service. As soon as I place the order, she said, «I am not taking care of your section. Your server will be coming over soon.» 30 mins or so later, we had to go to the tables on the other side of the pool to get service. There, we waited for another 20 minutes for service once seated at the tables near the bar.

* View: amazing! — hang out & watch the surfers * Bartenders: amazing! Scott is hands down the BEST! * Drinks: Bacon Bloody Mary is delicious — it includes 2 pieces of candied, peppers bacon. WOW! Also recommend any drink with Ciroc Coconut vodka including just with soda over ice Entertainment: live music every night & a cool Hawaiian fire dancer show for those must have tourist moments we all crave but don’t want to admit to * Food: typical pool bar food but the nachos are pretty damn good & so are the chicken fingers

Pretty typical pool bar. Food not too bad, fish tacos, hot dogs, fried. All ok, and serve a purpose of food while you are at the pool or watching the sunset. Often times there is live local music playing Iz or Marley. Servers kind of attentive, but they work in Zones, and you can tell, if you try to make eye contact with a server out or her table area, she will«not see you.» Note to Christina 20044, smile a bit, your shift will go by quicker.

Our favorite of all the restaurant choices at Turtle Bay resort, although service could be slow and hard to come by at times, the food itself was delish. We ate here often and had no complaints, we ordered: cheeseburgers, Caesar salad, steak and fries, nachos, wings and many many MANY drinks. They make a mean Pina Colada, I got my fiancé hooked after letting him try mine. Definitely on the pricey side, you’re at a secluded-ish resort on the North Shore of Hawaii, what can you expect? But damn, drinking and eating with the views that you have, watching surfers wave after wave, doesn’t get much better than this. Best place to watch the sunset as well.

Great drinks but pricey. Be prepared to let the wait staff know when you want to order something. There are lots of wait staff but they don’t want to do a hard sell so if you aren’t ready right away and are timid you could wait a long time. 2 drinks, a salad, and loaded nachos with pork over $ 60. Ouch. On the plus side you can’t beat the view!

This is a great resort and a great bar, but remember, it is still a bar on Turtle Bay so it is super expensive. The bartenders are great, the view is great, and the drinks are solid, but it is super overpriced. However, the bartenders will reciprocate to friendly patrons who provide good tips, so I did save some money on extra drinks by tipping big over my first few days! All in all, if you are staying at Turtle Bay or driving by and need a drink, I would suggest stopping here for a few drinks and a few pictures of the view.

Who doesn’t love lunch by the pool! The food was pricey: -$ 16 for burger and fries -$ 11 for kids plate… 3 chicken fingers which only came with 2 celery sticks, 1 cucumber stick. But the quality was good. My burger was perfectly cooked real beef with a hint of truffle oil and the bread was a fluffy Hawaiian bread. My son’s chicken fingers were not whole pieces of chicken, but ground chicken… Still it tasted good and actually made it easier for my toddler to eat. Overall, because of the location, it was well worth it to eat in my swim suit with the gorgeous view. Would definitely eat here again… If we were swimming at the pool. But not good enough to make a drive out here just to eat.

When at the hotel, we spent most our time at this bar. I’ve been here numerous times over the years and Dennis the bartender is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Would definitely recommend coming here for the view of the sunsets. The food is pretty good, a little pricy, but it’s a resort, so you can expect that. Drinks were good and the bar staff was very attentive.

Food was really good, however the kids meals were a little cold when they arrived. Caesar salad was excellent, lots of it. Fish tacos were good but could have used a little more flavor. Drinks were awesome; everyone seemed to be drinking Mai-tais, but the beer was good and cold for it being served in a plastic glass. Can’t beat the view, that’s for sure. Very casual, local hotel guests obviously, but having a beer or a cocktail and watching the waves?! Couldn’t be better!
