Nice setup on this little bar. I came here on a Friday night and it’s more of a bar scene with loud music with a computer DJ. Nice size bar with tables in the back for small convos. A small dance floor in the front and a coffee bar in the front. I had a decent time.

The bartender and manager tried to pull a fast one on us tonight. Outside there was an easel that said $ 3 drinks. When we asked for one of the drinks, they claimed the happy hour prices were only week days. I told them that sign doesn’t indicate that. The bartender discussed with the manager and came back to our group to again repeat weekday happy hour. She then told me the sign outside said mon-fri. When I went outside with her, the sign was removed. The bartender then replied in a condescending tone that she could not honor the price because the sign wasn’t out there. I told her of course not because your manager came out here before you asked me to show you! In the end, we asked the manager if he removed the sign he just smiled and told the bartender to give us the price. Ridiculous! While you sit at the bar they have a board that says happy hour every hour with drink specials prices, The manager claims he never noticed that board missing the mon-fri before. Be honest and not sneaky. There was no reason to do that but a good save to offer us the advertised price. That’s the only reason they got a 2nd star.

As I was walking around the Pride festival on Newark, a young lady gave me a flyer and told me there will be a drag queen there later. I had to check it out. Who doesn’t love a drag queen? I was so confused though because it said coffee shop but they sell margaritas? I’ve passed this place so many times and never went in. Well, that all changed last night. The space is actually very cute. I adore brick walls. There was a DJ playing who was very good. Old school r&b. You can’t go wrong with that. I sat at the bar and started the margaritas coming. They were good and affordable. The bartenders were attentive. I switched to watermelon margaritas which were even better. My friend tried the pizza and said it was good. The crowd was diverse and laid back. I don’t know what the scene is usually like since I went during Pride but I’ll be sure to come back for the happy hour specials. By the way, the drag queen was entertaining!

This business appears to be run by a group of young adults. My family and I arrived for drinks and sat at a table. A nice young lady took our orders and was attentive. We arrived around 6pm. About an hour later we moved to a bigger table because we were ready to order food. As we moved, our waitress was behind the bar so she asked to let her know what we need. W called her over a couple of times and she sent someone else because she seemed to be the only one behind the bar. The other young lady came to our table to ask what we wanted, verbatim, so my cousin first asked for another drink and her reply was«you can walk to the bar and order it yourself.» Extremely rude given we didnt know what the waitstaff situation and just overall bad customer service. We hadnt eaten since noon so we went ahead and ordered pizza and wings and left immediately after. This spot has a great location but unfortunately isnt staffed or managed well. Very poor customer service and unprofessional.
