I love their tea lattes, especially the lavender one! Breakfast on the weekend looked and smelled wonderful… need to go back and try it soon.

Really nice local tea shop. I have been here a couple of times before with friends for a quick bubble tea, but this was my first time going in a while. This afternoon I had a few hours to kill and was far away from home so I decided to find somewhere with free wifi so I could get some studying done, and remembered this place. The server(proprietor?) was very friendly and nice. The food came promptly and was delicious(although I went at an off-peak time so service may be different at other times, I remember they can get really crowded on the weekends). They had a lot of vegetarian and vegan options as well, great for me because I am vegetarian. I had a veggie omelette sandwich with provolone and a(massive) slice of vegan Oreo cake. They also had a large variety of teas. I had an iced lemongrass honey green tea, and an iced grapefruit green tea. The prices were decent as well. The overall vibe is cozy, the décor is cute and a lot of the customers who come in are regulars which gives it a community feel. This is definitely a place where you can relax and not feel rushed. Also the music playlist was really good, including Black Sabbath, Talking Heads, Devo, and Death(the hardcore punk band) among many other bands, and the music was not too loud as to be distracting. Also the server told me that they have a poetry event here every Thursday night, which sounds pretty cool. Overall I definitely recommend this place and I will be excited to visit here more often.

I got lucky since this place is right around the corner from where I live. I love their coffee and their food. I typically get a Dirty Matcha with almond milk(Yes, they have dairy free alternatives). The service is friendly and fast! As far as their food goes, everything I have ever gotten there has been so yummy. The sandwiches and the eggs are great with lots of vegan and vegetarian options! The vibes inside are on point. Cool music, local artwork on the walls, seating and free wifi; you can’t go wrong! If you are in the area, and need to grab a bite to eat or a little pick me up, definitely stop by.

Absolutely in love with this place. When my boyfriend was living in Jersey City, we used to come once or twice a weekend for brunch. I’d usually order the fried eggplant with cheese, and frequently spring for a side of vegan chorizo, a bubble tea or smoothie of the day, and a chocolate chip cookie. The bubble tea is extremely high quality and delicious(which comes as no great surprise at a tea shop). While I love bubble tea in all shapes and forms, I find that most restaurants drown their bubble tea in artificial sweeteners — so it barely resembles tea at all. This is most definitely NOT the case at Tea NJ. The staff is also super friendly, and the venue is quite cute and cozy.

I love this place. Be forewarned they take a very long time to cook and the portions are on the smaller size. So don’t come when you are in a hurry or are hungry. The beverages are excellent and so is the food. My favorite is the veggie burger salad. The sauces that come with it are exceptional. The staff are very friendly. Bummer that they usually close so early. Great place to do work.

Cute place: small, cozy, decorated with a quirky aesthetic. I had the iced cucumber mojito tea and it was delicious. I drank it so fast I may have to go back after I finish eating at café batata. Haven’t tried anything else but I will be back.

Healthy vegan food! Come here for breakfast brunch lunch dinner or just for a scrumptious coffee or tea. Great selection and excellent food. William is awesome super friendly. Art exhibits and music are always tasteful yet eccentric. Outdoor seating available. Vegan deserts are a must try.

Tea NJ never fails to disappoint. Have ordered take out/delivery from here numerous times and the V Loaf and Black Bean sandwiches are my go-tos. They have undoubtedly the largest tea selection in all of JC as well, I’m sure, and the staff will be more than happy to give you suggestions to match with whatever you’re eating. I’ve grown partial to their dirty chai and dirty matcha, personally.

The most recent stop on our ‘coffee tour’ of Jersey City and we were super impressed. Both the mocha latte and dirty vanilla chai were delicious. We will definitely be going back to try out all the yummy food options. Staff was super friendly and service was fast and efficient. Inside was cozy and inviting. Neither me nor my husband wanted to leave!

They offer brunch all day on the weekend. Ordered the special which consisted of vegan Italian sausage, breakfast potatoes, avocado medley(sliced avocado with pico de gallo) and a side salad. Also ordered a pot of the grapefruit green tea and vegan carrot cake. Everything was amazing! Will return.

Such a great little spot! It’s places like this that make me realize that I need to venture further up Newark Ave. Especially once it’s a bit warmer out. I passed by on the way home from a meeting and came in for a mid-day treat. Although I was craving tea, there are a ton of other drink options like coffee, smoothies and juices. They’ve also got a pretty extensive food menu with a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches and lots of veggie and vegan options. At lunch time on a weekday there were plenty of people sitting at the café tables and ordering food. I ordered a thai iced tea and it was refreshing and delicious. All teas come in one size of 16 ounces and are reasonably priced at 3.50. Next time I come in I definitely want to try a dirty chai. Because of the great prices and cozy neighborhood vibe, I’m going to have to make more of an effort to come here instead of just resorting to Starbucks.

I love this place I’ve only been here a couple of times but they were great experiences. The girl who works here is so friendly and sweet. She seem so genuinely happy when her customers are enjoying their time. I think that says a lot about a business. They also have a great selection of teas, and other drinks. I love that they have bubble tea that you can customize with your preference of milk(almond, whole, coconut, etc), and sugar level. They also have a great selection of vegan options. I’m not a vegan but the black bean burgers look really tasty. Will be coming back to try it. Also, i happen to love doing my laundry at JC eco laundromat around the corner so this is a great addition to my sunday routine.

Love that they deliver. Ordered via Seamless. Great drinks — they have tea, coffee, bubble tea, cider, smoothies, shakes. I tried the ginger hot cider — yum, really hit the spot and a delicious smoothie(berry). You can get smoothies/shakes with soy or almond milk, btw. The food was OK. Had the salmon salad — nothing special, salmon was pretty bland and the salad was rather small. Also tried the vegan hot dog — pretty good — a bit too spicy for me but that’s a personal preference. It came on good bread so if it wasn’t for the spice, I’d be all about it. I like that they have a diverse menu with vegan/vegetarian offerings. Definitely the spot for drinks, not sold on the food yet — might need to give it another chance.

I’ve been here several times now and always leave satisfied. It’s cheap, delicious, healthy, takes credit/debit cards, and customer service is great. The new breakfast sandwich menu is a welcome addition. You can get a big ham, egg and cheese on whole wheat AND hot coffee for $ 4.50! Definitely don’t miss this great little spot. Good music, too.

For a café vibe this place isn’t that bad. I’ve been heard for a coffee/tea break and lunch, both were reasonably enjoyable. Per recommendation, I tried the vanilla camomille tea and it was heaven! I also tried a black tea which was good. Food-wise, they have sandwiches that consist of variations of hot dogs that can be vegan, vegetarian or good olé beef. Its a bit strange that besides the hot dog-inspired sandwiches, they have salads and some homemade cakes and other desserts… but that’s it. Let’s face it, their main focus and craft is tea. Prices are reasonable and there’s plenty of seating. The staff is very friendly and willing to give suggestions. This small joint previews works from local artists which adds to its charm. Nearby is Balance Salon, Modern Sage, and Metro PCS among other things.

If Mary Poppins ran Cheers, it would be Tea NJ. It seemed like everyone here knew everyone’s name. The gentleman at the counter was so warm, I felt in no time flat I, too, could become part of the inner circle. The vibe is low key café with character. I was digging the high tempo punk rock tunes and lightning fast complimentary wifi. The grapefruit green tea blend served iced was light and refreshing on a hot afternoon. The salmon over spinach with feta and tomatoes with 3 tasty dressings on the side was a delicious early dinner and a steal at 7 measly bucks. For a quick bite or a refreshment and respite from your busy day, Tea NJ is practically perfect in every way.

Love small balls bursting in your mouth? Oh stop, get your head out of the gutter, I’m talking about Tapioca! FREE tapioca included with any drink. These drinks are great for summer days or just to try something new. They are very refreshing and addicting. I like the Matcha Bubble Tea(green tea) so far, but there are plenty of flavors to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Their sandwiches are delicious and just the right portion. It’s also a good vegan brunch option too. Positive friendly and welcoming vibes. Looking forward to going back soon!!!

Very friendly place and good selection of custom teas. If you are a Tea fan, this is the place, but if you are more of a coffee person… eh. I didn’t eat, but I did have tea there. It was very tasty but just kind of bare bones. Some chairs that look like they should be outside, some tea selectiosn… that was all. I’m not a fan of vegan food normally so none of the food appealed to me. I’d stop in to have tea with a friend but wouldn’t go here normally to get my morning caffeine… too pricy.
