This place looks the same as when it was Carmine’s which has moved down the block I walked in here to day to sample thier pizza and have to say not bad Only thing that sucks is that it’s close to the ghetto H.S. so going in there to eat around 2 – 4PM your swamped with thug type of kids not to say that there all bad just not your afternoon lunch in… If you want to sit down and eat would recommend coming after 5PM

We’ve ordered delivery several times. It always takes a long time, often over an hour. After waiting an hour this time, we called and were told it would arrive in a few minutes. After waiting another half hour, I called to cancel the order. We were given excuses about being short staffed but this happens all the time. Although the pizza is good we won’t be ordering from them again. If it’s going to be late at least let us know.

If you’re very hungry, as we were, have the Buffalo slice. Unfortunately by the time you are ready to tuck into your second slice you aren’t starving and you realize that it is really sub par. The service was very friendly and the bathroom was clean though, so there is that.

I never had problems with their delivery as other people have mentioned, but I only ordered delivery from them once or twice since I’m close enough that I usually just order pick up. Their pizza is pretty good, but their other food is kind of sub par(although the portions are big? That probably doesn’t make up for it though.) The pasta I got wasn’t very good– I didn’t even finish the part I got wrapped up, a big deal for me. I wish their food was better so that I could give them a better rating! We chose to eat in the dining area once, and they were SO nice. Maybe because we were the only people there, but they were attentive, accommodating, and even gave us free bruschetta!

Portions are generate and moderate enough to fill you up, great for catering Which is how we ended up trying them and loving them! Chef effectively meets your needs and owner personally delivered the food all correct and on time being very generous. Def recommend the eggplant parm and chicken Murphy, service also upon visit is great and friendly according to my co-worker which stated Jennifer was excellent with her service. The prices are very moderate, Will keep coming here :)

I appear to be the only person who actually ate there to review, so perhaps the delivery leaves a lot to be desired, but my in-restaurant meal was pretty damn good. Got a free piece of bruschetta while I waited for my order. The wings were small and a little too heavily fried, but because they were so small, the cook told me he’d throw in a few extras above the 6-pc I ordered(and he did). The meatball parm sandwich was one of the best I’ve had. I’m leery of the delivery given so many iffy reviews, but I will definitely eat at the restaurant itself again.

Rented out the Chillout Lounge for a small pizza party(about 12 people) and had a great experience. The chefs and waitresses/waiters were very attentive and even helped me set-up. Everyone was very accomodating. The lounge is BYOB so you can have a great night for way less than someplace where they would charge you for alcohol. The appetizers and pizza were really good. Overall, a great local place to get together with your friends and chill-out or even have a kid’s party during the day. Welcome to the neighborhood guys!

These guys popped up on awhile ago; they took over the old Carmine’s spot. To be honest, the only reason I avoided ordering from them is because I thought the name was a little ridiculous. After reading reviews from two friends(prior to one update), I gave it a try. Since then, the roommate and I have ordered a few times. We’ve tried the buffalo chicken pizza, ziti with meatballs, and eggplant parm hero. The ziti turned out to be penne rigate. The pasta was cooked well, and it was sauced well but I didn’t much care for the it. I thought it was on the bitter side. It came with two big meatballs, but they were tough, dry, and tasted like someone rolled up some ground beef without much seasoning. But the portion size was pretty big(it was from the kids’ menu and I don’t know if an adult would have finished it all), so for the money, it was a good deal. Unfortunately, I didn’t eat most of it. The eggplant parm hero was much better. I appreciated the use of fresh mozz, and that time the sauce was okay(possibly because of all the cheese, I don’t know). Bread was fresh. We both like the buffalo chicken pizza and have ordered it a few times. I think it is really rich, though(I am also something of a purist when it comes to pizza). It is prepared better than many buffalo chicken pies, with sauce, cheese, white meat chicken, and a generous swirling of buffalo sauce and blue cheese. However, every time I’ve eaten it, I’ve always found myself wiping away much of the sauce and blue cheese because it’s a bit much. The crust is solid, though, and the chicken isn’t too dry. Delivery has always been 45 minutes or less, and the guy is always nice. JC has better pizzerias but this is certainly not a bad option.

Review update*** A sad review update if you ask me. I ordered delivery. We, as in my lovely bf and I were hankering for some greasy sandwiches so we ordered a chicken parm and cheese steak. They were not good. Not good at all. The chicken parm was bland and had absolutely no flavor and the cheese steak was inedible. This actually was a good thing since it was a huge calorie saver. Yet, this is sad since the last meal I had here was really good and I had some high hopes. On a side note, I ordered pizza for delivery a few weeks ago and they effed my order up by delivering the wrong pizza, I still ate it and it was good but still a little crazy to deliver someone the wrong pizza. Add on this sandwich attempt and you have disappointment. I will keep this place in my rotation as I still believe in its powerful pizza and if I“m in the hood I’ll most def come in for some of that pasta. With the power of averages with my last four star review and this 2 star review — this place is solid three stars. One highlight was that the delivery was super FAST. Like, no wait at all which is always a good thing!

Hmmmm…3 stars, but might’ve been 2 stars if we hadn’t been so hungry. The husband and I were both starving from working through lunch today and not having time to go get something to eat. Ah, corporate America. So… by the time we arrived at home, we were cranky, hungry, and tired. I suggested Box or Gypsy. But then we started looking at Unilocal, and realized there was a new spot in my neighborhood I hadn’t yet tried. Enter Chill Out Pizza Lounge(strange name, but hey… I’ll try anything once). After Stephanie Y’s glowing review, I should have ordered pizza. Instead, we got a broccoli salad and a chicken francese that came with a massive side of spaghetti and red sauce. Let’s just say that it was definitely enough food for two starving people, which is good. What was not so good was that I could tell that the broccoli they used for their salad was once clearly frozen broccoli. Not blanched, steamed, or even(gasp!) boiled, but frozen. It had that rubbery texture that fresh broccoli just can’t emulate. The seasoning on the salad was a simple lemon, olive oil, and garlic. From the picture they had on the website, I was expecting a more robust broccoli salad with raisins, bacon bits, slightly creamy dressing… you know, the kind I make to bring to potlucks and picnics. For $ 7.95, we were kinda disappointed. The chicken was pretty good and the wine sauce was actually quite delicious. Another ding because I could tell the mushrooms were canned! For this, I had to inspect pretty closely and try a number of them… but they were all sliced to uniform thickness and had that slightly sour taste that canned mushrooms have. Eeeeeeek. The pasta and red sauce that came with it was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was excellent. We ate everything heartily because we were so hungry, but I wouldn’t order either of the dishes again. Next time, I’ll try the pizza.

So we were hungry for some pizza/italian and thought we’d try somewhere new plus we wanted somewhere that would deliver. With a Unilocal post of 5 stars I thought we’d give it a try. Well, bad idea. The eggplant parm sandwich was underdone per my husband. The pizza was ok. Given all the pizza options around they are going to have to step up their pizza game. I had the penne vodka which was alright, not horrible but not great. They also sent along bread with the penne vodka, not garlic bread or buttered bread just some pieces of toasted bread which i could have made at home. We ordered french fries as well which seemed like they were oreida crinkle cut fries that had been microwaved, certainly not fried crispy. Maybe because the food was delivered and they seemed like they had trouble finding out apartment may explain some of the food issues but i’m not sure it can all be blamed on that. All and all you can get better food elsewhere. Sorry Chill Out we won’t be back.

This place opened up around November 2011. The location is very close to me so I’ve been there about a dozen times so far. I’m a big fan of pizza so I was excited that it opened but didn’t want to get my hopes high. The pizza in the area seems to be hit or miss. I’m happy to report the the pizza is very good. I’ve had regular pizza, pepperoni, multi topping, and most recently half margarita half mixed toppings. The pizza has always been very good. The margarita pizza was especially flavorful. Besides the pizza I’ve tried a few appetizers and pastas. The bruschetta is very tasty and fresh. I had never tried it before and they offered me a sample. The pepperoni rolls were also very good. I normally wouldn’t order anything besides pizza at a pizza place, but I was pleasantly surprised with the offerings here. From the counter you can see in back to the kitchen where the non-pizza dishes are prepared. It’s a good sized kitchen that is kept clean and bright. The chef in the back, Giovanni, is very friendly. I would suggest talking to him if you are want some recommendations on what to order. I’ve had the vodka penne with chicken and the chicken francaise. I enjoyed both of them and have ordered the vodka dish more than once. I hope the business is successful. The owner is often there and is not shy about talking to customers. You can stop in for a quick bite or sit in a more restaurant style room through an entry way. It’s a pretty unique setup. They offer delivery as well but I live too close to try it out. I’m sure I will continue to eat there regularly so I will add pictures and update this review over time.
